Edifier MP230 Is A Bluetooth Speaker With A Retro Design

If you can appreciate retro/vintage designs, then you might be interested in taking a look at the Edifier MP230. This is the company’s latest Bluetooth speaker that is currently available for purchase, where as you can see in the photo above, it looks like a speaker from the good old days.

The MP230 features a wooden frame, which isn’t as common when it comes to portable Bluetooth speakers, a “boutique mesh” front, and piano key buttons for those who can still appreciate the tactility of physical buttons over touch-sensitive buttons or capacitive displays. The speakers themselves feature the use of a TAS5822M amplifier chipset by Texas Instruments, along with two 48mm full-range drivers with integrated double passive radiators.

In addition to having Bluetooth capabilities, the speakers will also give users alternative connectivity options. This includes an AUX input if you prefer a wired input, or TF card. The speakers also boast a 16-hour battery life which is pretty amazing for Bluetooth speakers, so it should be able to last you for a couple of days, assuming you don’t play music on it non-stop.

If this sounds like something you might be interested in, the speakers are available from Edifier’s website where it is priced at $100.

Suppliers Reporting Shipping Out Components For Apple’s 27-inch iMac Pro

According to a recent report by Display Supply Chain Consultants’ CEO Ross Young, he claims that in 2022, Apple is expected to launch a 27-inch iMac Pro powered by the Apple Silicon. Now, according to a paywalled article from DigiTimes shared by Young on Twitter, it looks like Apple’s suppliers are already shipping out components.

The report claims that suppliers have started to ship out a small volume of shipments, but we expect that those shipments will start to ramp up once production goes into full swing as we get closer to the launch and release of the computer.

According to the rumors, Apple is expected to name the 27-inch iMac as the iMac Pro, despite them discontinuing the previous iMac Pro model that was powered by Intel. It’s an interesting naming choice, but we have to wonder if this also means that it will come with the iMac Pro price tag or if it will be similar to the previous Intel 27-inch iMac.

There are rumors suggesting that Apple will also be using mini LED display panels for the iMac Pro with a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, and that it could also be using Apple’s newer M1 Pro/Max chipsets that made its debut with the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros.
