Benedict Cumberbatch Reflects on Somehow Becoming the MCU's Elder Statesman

Doctor Strange has always been a peculiar character, whether it’s on the big screen or in the comics—the world of magic is so often far removed from the typical grand superhero events that populate our strips and our adventures on screens big and small always pigeon Stephen into something more befitting of a…

Samsung's Next Galaxy Z Flip Could Get a Battery Bump and Bigger Cover Screen

I liked Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 3 when I reviewed it last year, but its battery life was abysmal when compared to its non-folding flagship counterparts. Even with its built-in fast charging capabilities, the Z Flip 3’s battery is one of the smallest you can get in a premium phone.

New Razer Blade 15: OLED 240Hz With Excellent Color Performance

The new Razer Blade 15 is a powerful gaming laptop with an QHD OLED screen that sets it apart because it combines a 240Hz refresh rate with excellent color reproduction and 4K image quality. This combo was technically impossible not so long ago.

According to the official specifications, the 15.6-inch display can reproduce 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut (+400 NITs brightness), making it “workstation-worthy” for Creative users who don’t want any compromise in quality. Additionally, OLED inherently has perfect black levels and an infinite contrast ratio.

Typically, gamers could do without this level of color reproduction, but once you’ve grown accustomed to it, it’s nearly impossible to accept a lower-quality 240Hz display again.

The laptop is powered by the latest Intel and NVIDIA chips, “up to” the Intel Core i9-12900H and the NVIDIA RTX 3070 Ti. This combo packs a formidable punch, especially if you consider the relatively small size of the computer. I’d be curious to see what the performance/Lbs would be in a full review (don’t miss our laptop reviews).

32GB of DDR5 RAM can be installed, which is a good hint that Creatives are also a potential group of customers. You can get a 1TB SSD at order time, but there’s a second M.2 slot if you want to extend the storage capacity later.

The laptop’s chassis remains very close, if not identical, to the previous generation. Razer had done a great job with the last refresh design, and there’s no reason (yet) to change something that works so well.

Display aside, this is primarily an upgrade that aligns with the latest PC component refresh cycle, and that’s always welcome. The new Razer Blade 15 should hit retail in Q4 2022 at a price of $3499.99+

Blizzard gives sneak peek of new mobile game ‘Warcraft Arclight Rumble’

Warcraft fans can look forward to a new mobile game in 2022. Blizzard today released the trailer for Warcraft Arclight Rumble, a free-to-play, single-player strategy game that is due later this year. The game features collectible Warcraft Minis that players will be able to control in order to defeat evil leaders in the Warcraft universe.

The game’s Google Play store description states that players will have the choice of building armies with five playable families: Alliance, Horde, Beast, Undead and Blackrock. Players can opt for single-player mode or going head-to-head in PvP battles. Arclight Rumble will feature multiple modes, including Conquest, Dungeons, Raids and Co-Op. The game features over 60 Warcraft Minis and characters in total, with the ability to unlock new skills and upgrade the characters as you level up. The game’s website features even more details on the upcoming title, including the option to pre-register for more details (including the release date, which hasn’t been announced yet).

With Activision’s ongoing workplace sexual harassment lawsuits aside, it’s been a mixed couple of years for the Warcraft universe. As PC Gamer notes, the Shadowlands expansion had problems that left some devoted WoW fans in a tizzy. Last month’s trailer on the Dragonlandsexpansion let down some fans too. But a new mobile game offers up a fresh opportunity for fans to get excited about Warcraft again with relatively low stakes. You can watch the trailer for Arclight Rumble below:
