Santa Cruz Bicycles has introduced the Skitch eBike, a new addition to its lineup aimed at “reshaping urban transportation”. Derived from the Stigmata gravel bike and modified with electric capabilities, the Skitch is designed to offer an alternative to car commuting.

Weighing 30 lbs, this bike promises its owners both agility and speed; Its key feature is the Fazua Ride 60 Motor, a lightweight (yet powerful, according to the brand) system that propels the bike up to 28 nmph (32 kph in Canada) and covers a claimed distance of over 60 miles on a single charge. The intention behind the Skitch is to encourage individuals to opt for cycling over driving.

The manufacturer promises substantial climbing power and quick acceleration thanks to the motor’s 60 Nm torque output and the bike’s lightweight composition enhances its portability, making it convenient to carry and transport whenever needed.

Two Different Versions, and Three Power Modes

The Skitch comes in two versions: a drop bar long-range gravel bike and a flat bar urban variant. Both configurations feature a carbon frame housing a 430 Wh battery, which can be fully charged in approximately 3.5 hours. For those looking for versatility in terms of functionality, the product offers three power modes:

• Breeze: for conservative energy use.
• River: for balanced performance.
• Rocket: for increased speed.

The user can switch between these modes through a convenient handlebar-mounted ring controller. Charging is straightforward, with a charging port located above the bottom bracket and a battery level indicator on the top tube. The Skitch’s motor disengages when not in use, allowing riders to pedal without resistance in case the battery depletes. Manufactured in Santa Cruz, California, the Skitch comes with a lifetime warranty on its frame and Reserve Rims.

Targeted at urban commuters seeking active and sustainable transportation, the Skitch is offered in configurations with SRAM Drivetrains, consisting of two flat bar and two drop bar options. NVIDIA’s Hyperscale and HPC Computing unit, led by Vice President Ian Buck, aims to leverage the capabilities of SK Hynix’s HBM3E to enhance various high-demanding tasks. These tasks span from weather forecasting and energy exploration to computational fluid dynamics and life sciences, all of which heavily rely on AI processing.

Handling Over 230 Full HD 5GB Videos in 1 Second

The upgraded iteration of this memory technology boasts the capability to process data at speeds of up to 1.15 terabytes per second. To put this into perspective, it can handle data equivalent to over 230 Full HD 5GB videos in a single second.

Additionally, SK Hynix highlights a 10% improvement in heat dissipation with this new memory iteration, attributed to the employment of the latest Mass Reflow Molded Underfill (MR-MUF) process technology.

Backward Compatibility

An interesting feature of SK Hynix’s HBM3E memory is its backward compatibility. This means it can work as a direct RAM upgrade in systems currently utilizing HBM3 technology alongside CPUs and GPUs.

Arriving in 2024

SK Hynix has outlined its production timeline, aiming for mass production to start in the first half of 2024. The company is presently engaged in the sampling process, with big customers like NVIDIA among those receiving early access to this new memory solution.

In honor of Disney’s monumental 100th anniversary, Samsung Electronics is launching The Frame-Disney100 Edition. This special release blends Samsung’s tech prowess with Disney’s creative magic.

The limited edition comes in 55, 65, and 75-inch sizes, featuring Disney-themed bezels, 100 exclusive Disney artworks, and a charming Mickey Mouse-inspired remote.

The product is launching globally ahead of IFA 2023, and we hope to see the Frame-Disney100 Edition next week at IFA in Berlin at the Samsung Press conference on Aug.31st at City Cube. The company has not yet confirmed which new products will be exhibited.

Aside from the cool design, The Frame-Disney100 Edition offers a collection of 100 dedicated Disney artworks — curated from Disney’s renowned studios (like Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm) — all accessible through the Samsung Art Store. This collection lets fans create their own gallery of beloved characters and content, being able to choose algo from the ones already offered in the regular version of the TV (famous art found in museums and paintings from painters like Van Gogh).

The Frame, as the name says, has the proposal of turning itself from a slim TV into a piece of art. Its sleek design and 4K QLED picture quality are able to blend very nicely with home interiors. Samsung has recently announced the global availability of the Odyssey Neo G9 57″ monitor at Gamescom 2023, a product that the company calls a game-changer for immersive gaming. Touted as the “World’s First Dual UHD Monitor” by the company, it won a CES 2023 Best of Innovation Award when it was announced in January.

Thanks to the 1000R curvature, equivalent to the width of two 32″ UHD monitors, the 32:9 screen wraps users in sharp visuals and an expansive field of view. The Odyssey Neo G9 features Quantum Matrix Technology powering Quantum Mini LED lighting, offering users discrete dimming zones for enhanced contrast. DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity is present for optimized gaming and improved video playback experience, while the 1000-nit peak brightness brings HDR content to life with accurate colors and contrasts.

The monitor’s 240Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time minimize motion blur, promising to deliver a smooth viewing experience. The AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology provides stability, and Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes offer multitasking ease and, last but not least, the Auto Source Switch+ feature enables instant connectivity to new devices.

According to Scott Herkelman, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Graphics Business Unit at AMD:

“By bringing DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity to their premium gaming monitor, Samsung is opening new doors for gamers. Accompanying the Neo G9 release, the South Korean brand will also showcase an upgraded version of the curved monitor Odyssey Ark, featuring Samsung Multi View and KVM switch features.

Price and availability

The Odyssey Neo G9 57-inch will be available for $2,499.99 in October on samsung.com and select U.S. retailers.
