Vivo XShot First Smartphone To Cross 40k AnTuTu Mark

Vivo XShot First Smartphone To Cross 40k AnTuTu MarkRecords are meant to be broken, although those Manchester United fans must be desperate for ‘The Chosen One’ to stop breaking new records for the football club – in the opposite direction, of course. Teams that have not won since before I was born have picked up victories at Old Trafford, and the four more games that they still have left to play in the remainder of the season does seem to be too much to bear. The Vivo XShot, thankfully, has broken a record in the right direction – by surpassing the 40,000 mark in the AnTuTu benchmark, being the first smartphone to do so.

Of course, this does not mean that no other smartphones managed to come near the XShot in reality, as the OnePlus One was the most recent model that hit the 38,000 mark. As for the Vivo XShot, it picked up a whopping 40,023 on the site, which means that it also edged out on other market rivals including the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra.

We do know that the Vivo XShot will arrive with a 24MP camera at the back of the handset, and this does seem to be a flagship smartphone that is worth well your time to check out.

HTC: One M8 Boosted As A Feature For Benchmarks

HTC: One M8 Boosted As A Feature For BenchmarksHTC has been accused of boosting their HTC One (M8) when it comes to benchmark performance, as AnTuTu has included a new version of its popular benchmarking site known as AnTuTu X that supposedly eliminates some of the cheating which has been whispered about. AnTuTu X is meant to depict a more authentic and realistic benchmark score. For instance, as the HTC One (M8) went through the pages of the AnTuTu 4 benchmark test, it managed to eke out a phenomenal 38,815 score, which is ahead of the Galaxy S5’s 34,898 score, way ahead of the Sony Xperia Z2 at 32,768 and the LG G Pro 2 at 30,068.

Sony D5503 (Xperia Z1s) AnTuTu Benchmark Scores Leaked

Sony D5503 (Xperia Z1s) AnTuTu Benchmark Scores LeakedThe Sony D5503 is not an upcoming digital camera, but rather, it is a new smartphone that is waiting to roll out, sporting yet another codename along the way – the Sony Amami. This is a smartphone that when released, ought to cause a lot of stir and commotion since it will share most of the high end specifications that is available on the flagship Sony Xperia Z1 handset, except that it has been crammed into a smaller sized form factor. I guess you can more or less declare this to be a formal mini version of a full sized flagship smartphone, instead of one that shares the name with a mini suffix and has watered down hardware specifications.

All in all, the Sony D5503 did manage to pick up an extremely impressive 34,193 score on the AnTuTu benchmark, which certainly blows away the misconception that a “mini” variant of a smartphone is unable to hold its own against the big boys. Apart from that, the refreshed Xperia Z1s model also picked up a higher 35,485 score on AnTuTu, and there is yet another variant of the device which is suspected to be headed for US markets, that managed to score the highest among the three at 36,257 points.

Sony L39h Spotted On AnTuTu Benchmark

Sony L39h Spotted On AnTuTu BenchmarkThe AnTuTu Benchmark database recently saw a mysterious Sony L39h device surface, where it has led to many a speculation that this particular device is none other than the upcoming Sony Honami flagship which boasts of a camera to die for, in addition to being called the Sony Xperia Z1 (as of what we know today). Regardless, a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet, so if I were to be given the creative liberty of changing that time honored saying a bit, a smartphone by any other name would perform just as well.

Apparently, the Sony L39h was tested in China, and it does seem headed for the Chinese market considering how one of Sony’s previous flagship devices, the Sony Xperia Z was known as the Sony L36h when it rolled out in China. Powered by a 2.15GHz processor that is most probably the quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, it will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, scoring over 30,000 points – making it on par with the performance of other high end smartphones that are in the market. I guess we will just have to wait until this coming September 4th to see the official launch of the Sony Honami, or rather, the Sony Xperia Z1 L39h.

Fujitsu FJDEV009 Spotted In AnTuTu Benchmark

Fujitsu FJDEV009 Spotted In AnTuTu BenchmarkHere is another device that has gotten its benchmark results on AnTuTu leaked out – where it is anonymously known as FJDEV009. The Fujitsu FJDEV009 is most probably a smartphone that will remain specific to the Japanese market alone, which is more often than not the case for many a Japanese smartphone. In fact, from what we were able to glean from the details found on the AnTuTu database, the Fujitsu FJDEV009 will run on a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor which is capable of clocking up to 2.15GHz in terms of speed, and we also know that the Fujitsu FJDEV009 was tested in the Land of the Rising Sun, picking up a score of more than 30,000 points in addition to being powered by Google’s Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as the mobile operating system of choice.

It seems that the Fujitsu FJDEV009 is being prepared to be yet another flagship smartphone from Fujitsu, and will roll out via NTT DoCoMo in Japan. Guess this means the chances of the Fujitsu FJDEV009 heading anywhere else outside of Japan is as slim as Arsenal winning the Premier League this year (yes, and I am a fan of the Gunners, sometimes you just got to face up to reality). We do hope to catch a glimpse of its leaked photos soon though.

Alleged NVIDIA Tegra Tab 7 Benchmark Spotted

Alleged NVIDIA Tegra Tab 7 Benchmark SpottedAt the end of last week, we talked about the possibility of an NVIDIA Tegra Tab 7 being spotted in the wild, and this time around, there is the very real possibility of an NVIDIA Tegra Tab 7 benchmark which has been seen, where it could also be known as the NVIDIA TegraNote Premium for all intents and purposes, after someone decided to run the AnTuTu benchmark and capture a screenshot of it for all and sundry to drool over. It so happens that the Tegra Tab’s AnTuTu benchmark result showed it hitting the 27,643 points mark, and that at 1,280×800 resolution, but that is because the resolution is not that high as the latest Nexus 7 whose AnTuTu benchmark is lower, as that tablet sports a pixel count of 1,920×1,200, which is surely more GPU intensive.

Other alleged hardware specifications of the NVIDIA Tegra Tab should include an NVIDIA Tegra 4 chipset that has been clocked at 1.8GHz, a 5-megapixel shooter, a microHDMI port, a microUSB port, a 3.5 mm headset jack, and the possibility of either a microSD memory card slot or a SIM card tray. We could also be looking at the inclusion of a stylus, which would be rather strange since 7” tablets do not really need such an accessory. Ah well, more should be revealed when the final device finally debuts, no?

Moto X benchmarks and specs slip out, point to a fine mid-tier phone

    Moto X benchmarks reportedly slip

We’ve already seen Motorola’s rumored Moto X in press renders, photos, videos and even the hands of a Google executive; why not throw some benchmarks and specifications into the mix? Android Police is more than happy to add that grist to the rumor mill with a set of photos that reportedly show the AT&T Moto X (“Ghost”) running AnTuTu and 3DMark tests. If accurate, the scores hint at a mid-range Android 4.2.2 phone whose 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Pro and 2GB of RAM produce good (though not great) results. The rest of the visible specs are equally middle-of-the-road — we see a 720p screen, 16GB of built-in storage, NFC, a 10.5-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front shooter. The hardware alone may not tempt customers, then, but Motorola could be counting on customization and software tricks to lure more customers. We’ll know the full story on August 1st.

Alleged Galaxy S 4 mini benchmarks reveal Snapdragon 400 processor

Supposed Samsung Galaxy S 4 mini benchmarks surface

The more we know about the 4.3-inch Galaxy S 4 mini, the more we’re convinced that it’s coming in the near future. German website All About Samsung claims to have obtained AnTuTu benchmark results from the baby Galaxy S 4, courtesy of an unnamed source. According to the screenshots above, the phone will feature 1.5GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front shooter capable of 1080p video. The original screenshots confirm the GS4 mini’s rumored qHD display resolution (960 x 540 pixels), while also indicating that the phone will likely be powered by Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon 400 (like the HTC First), running Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). If these specs pique your interest, ensure you haven’t missed some recently leaked shots of the phone itself.

Sony LT25i Tsubasa pops up in benchmarks, may swell the high-speed Xperia ranks

Sony LT25i Tsubasa pops up in benchmarks, may amp up Xperia meidrange

Add another future Sony Xperia model to a rapidly growing pool. The LT25i Tsubasa (not to be confused with the ST25i/Xperia U) has been caught by Tencent in AnTuTu and NenaMark2 tests, seemingly running the same mix of a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4, a 720p screen and Android 4.0 that we’ve seen in the upcoming Xperia T (LT30p). So what’s different? There’s rumors of in-cell touch to keep the display thin and vivid, but even the unverified source isn’t certain that it will become a reality. The crew at Xperia Blog also claims that there will be international LTE and HSPA+ models along with China- and Japan-specific editions. Assuming the details are at all consistent with the truth, having the Tsubasa arrive on the scene mostly hints that Sony might be readying a broader speed-up of its roster than we first thought.
