Our readers might recall that it was only a few days ago that BlackBerry’s CEO, John Chen, expressed the company’s interest in potentially moving BBM beyond handsets. This has led to speculation that BlackBerry could be thinking about moving BBM onto desktops.

As it stands, Microsoft is boasting 146,395 apps in its Windows Store, and in a recent post by the company on their blog, it has been found to no one’s surprise that despite the Windows Store not being as populated compared to other app stores, once again in-app purchases rule supreme.
It turns out that while there is money to be made from the Windows Store, chances are developers will more likely than not make more money if they were to include in-app purchases in their apps. If you have used WhatsApp before, you know that WhatsApp provides statuses on you that your friends and contacts can see. Basically it tells them when was the last time that you were seen online on WhatsApp. It’s handy if you want to check if a particular number is still being used for WhatsApp, but at the same time can be kind of stalker-ish.
The good news is that WhatsApp for Windows Phone could soon be getting a new privacy feature which allows users to select who can see their “last seen” status, thus blocking off any stalkers and exes that you might not wish to keep in contact with, or at least not let them into your life anymore.
