Princess Leia Falls for Indiana Jones

I always get a kick out of mashups of films that I loved as a kid. I really like this new work from artist James Hance. He has taken Princess Leia complete with her giant hair buns and put her in a picture with Indiana Jones.

It is cool to see the wrong character put with his love interest from the Star Wars movies. The art is said to be a work in progress, but it already looks complete to me. In fact, it looks realistic enough to have been some sort of mistake at a movie poster printing factory.

Hance is the same guy who melded Adventure Time with Doctor Who in the past.

Now, modern photo mosaics have automated the same effect, sorting hundreds, even thousands of images into one grand daddy photograph. Here are four images filled by near infinite memories, captured by you.

Amazing Daenerys Targaryen Painting: Mother of Museum Quality Art

This painting of Daenerys Targaryen, the mother of dragons, is simply stunning. You just want to stare at it. This masterpiece was created by New York-based artist Sam Spratt, who usually develops art pieces for clients. Thank goodness he sorted out his priorities and shifted his attention to Game of Thrones.

These Cool Architectural Pics Were Blacked Out With a Permanent Marker

White on black is a no-no in many design circles, but there are definitely exceptions to the unofficial rule—like these cool prints from Marlon de Azambuja. Steve Talkowski’s Robots Will Take over the World… in a Cute Way

Look at these amazingly cute robots. Steve Talkowski made these robot images for an art challenge called March of Robots. They look like actual toys or models, but sadly they don’t exist in the real world.

They are all rendered in 3D, some with photographic backgrounds. They are amazing works of art. If he 3D printed these robots as toys, I would totally buy all of them. I’d be broke, but I would have some swell robot buddies.

You can see more of them at Talkowski’s Behance page. He should at least sell some prints. This is some sweet geek art. The man sure knows how to create some cool robots.
