Assassin’s Creed 3: The Redemption Released On PS3, Xbox 360, PC

Assassin’s Creed fans are probably already looking forward to the next Assassin’s Creed game, but Ubisoft is reminding its fans there’s still additional content to be had with Assassin’s Creed 3. The first episode of the Tyranny of King Washington was released on February 19, with the second episode, The Betrayal, released on March 19. The third and final chapter of Assassin’s Creed 3′s Tyranny of King Washington has officially been released today and marks the end of this new piece of downloadable content.

We won’t ruin the story in the final episode of The Tyranny of George Washington, but just know King George Washington is on the retreat and its up to Ratonhnhaké:ton to prepare for an assault against the mad king and his fortress. This final episode will also introduce the Power of the Bear, which will allow Ratonhnhaké:ton to perform strikes to the ground that will cause surrounding enemies to either be hurled into the air or crushed into the ground.

Assassin’s Creed 3 King Washington DLC Release Dates Announced In New Trailer

Assassin’s Creed 3 was released in time for 2012′s holiday season and received the Battle Hardened Pack last month, but this month it’ll be receiving its first full downloadable content.

The upcoming DLC for Assassin’s Creed 3 is called Tyranny of King Washington and it imagines a United States where George Washington made himself a king, instead of creating a new republic nation by becoming its first president. Washington being in possession of a piece of Eden doesn’t help as he’s become crazy with the power.

Tyranny of King Washington also highlights some special abilities for Ratonhnhaké:ton which will allow him to attack enemies with the Power of the Bear, move quickly with the Power of the Eagle and become the ultimate predator with the Power of the Wolf. He’ll also be given new weapons and a wolf companion.

The Tyranny of King Washington will be released as a three-part DLC. The first episode will be available on February 19th, while the 2nd and 3rd episodes will be released on March 19th and April 23rd, respectively. Each episode will cost $9.99, but a season pass will be available for $29.99 and comes with two additional pieces of DLC.

Assassin’s Creed 3 and Far Cry 3 missing from UK Steam store

Back in the day, going to the video game store was pretty much the only way you’d be able to get your hands on a video game. While video game stores still exist, thanks to faster internet speeds, gamers now have alternative means of purchasing their games, such as digitally through virtual store fronts such as Valve’s Steam. Now if you’re a gamer who has a ton of credit in Steam and are looking to use it to get Assassin’s Creed 3 or Far Cry 3, you might have noticed that despite previous Assassin’s Creed titles being made available via Steam, the third installment of game has yet to make an appearance at least as far as UK gamers are concerned.

According to the folks at PCGamesN, Ubisoft has confirmed to them that they are currently in talks with Valve at bringing both Assassin’s Creed 3 and Far Cry 3 onto the Steam platform for the UK market. No word on when exactly will the game be making its way onto the UK Steam store, but in the meantime Ubisoft has suggested that UK gamers looking to get their hands on either game to either go to the publisher’s Uplay store or hit a retail outlet.

Assassin’s Creed 3 bound for the Benelux region gets its entire shipment stolen

Yikes – it looks like if you’re a gamer within the Benelux states (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg), according to reports it seems that the entire shipment of Assassin’s Creed 3 bound for those regions has been stolen! Yup, every single copy – ouch. However according to Ubisoft, this should not delay the PC launch of the game with copies still expected to go up on sale on the 30th of November. The caveat here is that while regular Assassin’s Creed 3 gamers shouldn’t be affected, those who ordered the “Join or Die” edition of the game might not get their copies as it seems that Ubisoft will not be able to backorder that product.

Ubisoft is currently hard at work producing more copies of the game and has since passed the serial numbers and barcodes of the stolen games to retailers, and have also blacklisted those numbers from server authentication which means if you see an Assassin’s Creed 3 copy pop up on eBay or local website for a price that might be too good to be true and promising the game before its release, it’s probably a good idea to give it a miss.

Another Assassin’s Creed 3 Parkour video hits the internet, remains just as impressive if not more

Remember Ronnie Shalvis, the Parkour stuntman who created the Assassin’s Creed video? If you haven’t, perhaps you should check it out, but if you have seen it, then you might be interested to learn the Shalvis is back with a new video which seems to be a tribute to the release of Assassin’s Creed 3. This time instead of him merely donning the Assassin’s Creed armor and performing Parkour stunts around the city, Shalvis has recreated an environment from Assassin’s Creed 3 and you will see him free-running through a forest, leaping off logs and rocks while chasing down a redcoat. As expected from Shalvis, this is an extremely impressive video with breathtaking stunts and breathtaking scenery, so if you have 3 minutes to spare, do check it out in the video above.

Samsung bundles Assassin's Creed III with SSD 840 Pro to spark a sales revolution, ships the 840 line

Samsung’s experiment with a Ghost Recon SSD bundle must have been a hit with gamers, since it’s coming back for a second round the very same year. The upgrade-minded buying 128GB, 256GB or 512GB versions of the SSD 840 Pro can get a free downloadable copy of Assassin’s Creed III for a “limited time” to take advantage of those 540MB/s peak read speeds while they skew the fate of the American Revolutionary War. The bundle comes not-so-coincidentally as Samsung has shipped and priced the wider SSD 840 line itself: while we knew the Pro line’s impact on our wallets, the regular models are now ready to sell at prices between $140 for a 120GB drive to $700 for a 500GB model. That’s a $50 to $190 savings over the Pro models, but we’ll leave it to you to decide whether faster write speeds, slightly more capacity and Connor’s secret fight with the Templars are worth the premium.

Sony unveils PlayStation exclusive Assassin’s Creed 3 bonuses

Good news gamers, it looks like if you were looking forward to Assassin’s Creed 3, well you’re probably aware of the fact that today is the day when the game is launching (as if we needed to remind you about that!). Now it seems that Sony has decided to reward Assassin Creed 3 gamers who will be playing the game on their PlayStation 3 console. This takes the form of four exclusive missions that gamers will be able to access to on day one itself, with no extra fees whatsoever. These four missions can be downloaded via the PlayStation Store update, although Sony notes that access to these missions might be locked depending on your progress within the game. To top it off, it seems that if you’re a huge fan enough to buy both Assassin’s Creed 3 for the PS3 and Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation for the PlayStation Vita, gamers will be able to access Cross Content. So, who’s excited for Assassin’s Creed 3?

Assassin’s Creed 3 picks up Ubisoft gong for being most pre-ordered game to date

Just how popular do you think that Ubisoft’s upcoming Assassin’s Creed 3 is? Well, for starters, lets just say that it is going to be a surefire hit, considering how the game has already achieved the status of being the most pre-ordered game by Ubisoft to date. In fact, the previous record holder was (no surprises here) Assassin’s Creed Revelations, and it is interesting to note that Assassin’s Creed 3 has already doubled the previous number held by Assassin’s Creed Revelations, now how about that?

We are talking about pre-orders on a global scale here, and Ubisoft mentioned, “Pre-orders for Assassin’s Creed III at GameStop are 100% higher than last year, putting the game on track to be one of the top titles of 2012. In addition, Ubisoft is offering a Season Pass and high quality DLC available at launch to bring even more excitement to this title.”

Are you one of those who contributed to this record breaking feat? Just so you know, you can enjoy your Halloween when Assassin’s Creed 3 arrives then on the PS3 and Xbox 360, while PC gamers will have to wait until November 23rd.

Assassin’s Creed 3 PlayStation 3 bundle for Hong Kong revealed with bonus Assassin’s Creed hoodie

If you’re a gamer in Hong Kong and you were planning on picking up Assassin’s Creed 3 on either the PlayStation 3 or the PlayStation Vita, it seems that Sony has announced several bonuses that looks to be exclusive to the Hong Kong market. Starting with the PlayStation 3 bundle, this will include the new PlayStation 3 with a 500GB HDD, a copy of the Assassin’s Creed 3 game in English, an exclusive multiplayer DLC and an Assassin’s Creed 3 jacket with a hood (pictured above), although in all honesty it looks more like poncho.

For those who prefer playing the game on the PS Vita, the Vita bundle will include a WiFi only version of the console, a copy of Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation, a special DLC and a limited edition Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation protection film. Now if you own Assassin’s Creed 3 for the PlayStation 3 but you decide to get Liberation for your PS Vita, you will also get to play as Connor in an exclusive mission set in New York, and gain access to the Tomahawk weapon, an ammo pouch upgrade and a French Agile multiplayer character. These two bundles will be released in Hong Kong come 31st of October and will be priced at HK$2,280 (~$294).
