Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix Spotted In Assassin’s Creed 4

Assassins Creed: Rising Phoenix Spotted In Assassins Creed 4Earlier this year, thanks to a leaked image, the title Assassin’s Creed: Rising Phoenix was revealed and it was suggested that this was another Assassin’s Creed title that would be making its way onto the PS Vita. Ubisoft has since come forward to debunk that rumor, suggesting that it was a fake. However thanks to the folks at I Go Gaming, they have managed to capture a screenshot of the logo which made its appearance in the latest Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. The logo appears after Sequence 7 in the Abstergo Entertainment offices.

If Ubisoft’s claims that it was a fake was true, then why would the company be using the logo in one of their games? Could their claims of it being fake be a ruse to throw us off while they get the game ready for launch, or so as to not detract any attention from Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag? Either way this latest sighting has renewed interest in the title once again but we guess we will just have to wait and see if and when Ubisoft will make the announcement, but what do you guys think? Why else would the Rising Phoenix logo appear in the game if Ubisoft did not already plan on announcing it in the future, right?

Ubisoft Removes Online System Pass From Assassin’s Creed 4, Future Games

Ubisoft Removes Online System Pass From Assassins Creed 4, Future Games

There’s no denying gamers have been looking forward to the release of Ubisoft’s next chapter in the Assassin’s Creed saga with Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag for quite some time, and the game released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U just this past week. PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC owners will have to wait just a bit longer for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag to hit their gaming platform of choice. Thankfully, all versions of Assassin’s Creed 4 will no longer require Ubisoft’s online pass system, called Uplay Passport, which would allow any and all players to gain full access to the game.

In the past, online pass systems withheld certain parts of a game in order to make sure those who payed for a used copy of the game would pay extra in order to access those portions. Ubisoft used its Uplay Passport system to restrict access to parts of Assassin’s Creed 4′s single-player campaign, which caused quite a stir in the gaming community. Thankfully, with this week’s move to remove its Uplay Passport system from Assassin’s Creed 4, players can now journey through the world, as well as it’s multiplayer mode, without needing to enter an online pass code.

Hopefully this move will cause other publishers to do the same thing for their respective titles as a world without online pass systems is a world we’re sure all gamers would want to live in.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag PlayStation Exclusives Will Remain Exclusives Indefintely

Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag PlayStation Exclusives Will Remain Exclusives IndefintelyAs gamers are well aware of, certain video game DLCs are exclusive to a particular platform for a while before being made available to other console gamers, such as Skyrim’s DLCs which were exclusive to the Xbox 360 for a while before being released to PlayStation 3 and PC gamers. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag where the game’s PlayStation DLCs will remain PlayStation DLCs exclusively indefinitely. This means that gamers looking forward to the extra levels that star Aveline, who made her debut in Assassin’s Creed: Liberation for the PS Vita, will be out of luck.

This was confirmed by Ubisoft to Eurogamer, stating that the PlayStation exclusive DLC is not being planned for the Xbox 360 or the Xbox One for the moment, and that it will be exclusive to PS3 and PS4 gamers. The game was recently released for current-gen consoles and is expected to see a release for the PC, the Wii U, and next-gen consoles n November. Ubisoft has also recently confirmed that Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag for the Wii U will also not be getting access to DLCs as well although it was not stated why. Any PC/Xbox 360/Xbox One gamers bummed out by this piece of news?

Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD Arriving To PlayStation Store This January 14th

Good news for all of your Assassin’s Creed fans! If you are patient enough to wait until January 14th, 2014, without doing anything silly that might just cut short your life or injure your fingers and thumbs, then you will be able to enjoy Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD on the PS3 on that date, via the PlayStation Store, of course.

The whole idea of Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD was pretty simple – the development team simply wanted to improve upon what they set out to do on the Vita, adapting both gameplay and missions to be the most fun and enjoyable they could be. This means every individual mission has been reworked so that its pacing is improved, in addition to offering more challenge to the player.

The background story of Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD has been set in New Orleans between 1765 and 1780, which happens to be the period between the end of the French and Indian War, right up to the middle of the American Revolution. Aveline, a female Assassin of mixed French and African heritage, would be the protagonist here, as she was brought up in a world of privilege and contrasts, resulting in her being a strong-willed woman and an avid opponent of slavery.

Assassin’s Creed 4 ‘Freedom Cry’ Single Player DLC Spotted

Assassins Creed 4 Freedom Cry Single Player DLC SpottedAre you a huge fan of the Assassin’s Creed franchise? If you have answered in the affirmative, then you would definitely have given Assassin’s Creed 4 a go already, and this time around, we have a spanking new single player DLC that has been unveiled where it will star shipmate Adewale. The time setting? A good 15 years of clock fast forwarding is required. This is the first single player DLC for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag from Ubisoft, where it is tipped to launch before March 2014 rolls around. In Freedom Cry, one will be able to enjoy nine missions of “self-contained” single-player story.

Ubisoft mentioned, “Born a slave, Adewale found freedom as a pirate aboard the Jackdaw as Captain Edward Kenway’s second-in-command. Fifteen years later, Adewale has become a trained assassin and finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue with no weapon nor crew, starting a new adventure of his own.”

This particular content will be made available as part of a Season Pass, where one will be able to enjoy a 20% discount after purchasing each piece of AC4′s upcoming DLC on an individual basis. Apart from that, the Season Pass will also include additional single-player missions, weapons, skins and collectibles, not to mention new multiplayer characters.

Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation HD Announced With Trailer

Yesterday we reported that thanks to a leak and a broken embargo, Assassin’s Creed 3: Liberation HD was revealed, although now the official details have since been announced. The game is expected to make its way onto the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, and the PC come early 2014. The game was originally designed exclusively for the PlayStation Vita and was unveiled during Sony’s press event at E3 2012, but for those looking to take their adventure on a bigger screen and different platform, Liberation HD will be the game you want.

The game will feature 15 new missions and has had its graphics redone to make it more in line with Assassin’s Creed 3. Some puzzles have been removed as they were originally designed for the touchscreen, and gamers can look forward to a remastered soundtrack as well. No specific release dates or pricing of the game were mentioned, but hopefully more details about its upcoming release will be revealed at a later date, but for now if you’re wondering what you will be able to look forward to, spare a couple of minutes and check out the trailer in the video above.

Assassin’s Creed Franchise Ending Written Already

Assassin’s Creed Franchise Ending Written AlreadyAll good things must come to an end, unless you are George Lucas and his Star Wars franchise (which happens to have been bought up by Disney that caused quite a shocker when it happened), who figured out that each generation will need a new bunch of Star Wars toys to play with, never mind if the characters in there are a poor excuse of an alien lifeform such as the ever irritating Jar-Jar Binks. How about the Assassin’s Creed gaming franchise? While there has yet been immediate plans to end the franchise, Ubisoft already knows just how the Assassin’s Creed story will end should the day arrive. Of course, I am quite sure that there is enough room to make changes between now and that fateful day, since nothing is ever really set in stone.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag game director Ashraf Ismail touted that there has been a rough outline of the ending narrative which has been written. He said, “The brand team that sits on top and is filled with writers and designers concerned with the series’ overall arc. So there is an overall arc, and each iteration has its place inside this. We have an idea of where the end is, what the end is.” Great, now if only the world would be able to dive into a similar idea, no? At least we do know that there will be three more titles in the franchise to come.
