Balloon Animal AT-ATs: Hoth Air

Look out kid! You’re being attacked by a couple of Imperial Walkers! These impressive balloon animal AT-ATs were created by Balloon Guy Entertainment, who previously blew up a Balloon Bag End from The Hobbit.

What’s that you say? You don’t have a tow cable to take them down? That’s okay, kid, all you need is a pin.

Get out Your Tow Cables, the AT-AT Rocking Horse Is Finished

Remember that AT-AT rocking horse that we all wanted, even though it wasn’t even painted or detailed? Well, now it is finished. Behold the rocking horse for young Imperial forces in training.

This was one of the coolest kids toys we had seen in some time and now that it is finished, it looks even cooler and we want one. Cakewrecks and EPBOT creator Jen Yates has finally finished this masterpiece and it has all the right details.

She added a seat back and an extra sturdy T-bar handle for safety, along with some extra-long bumpers on the bottom rails to prevent it from rocking too far. To quote Vader, “Most impressive!”

Star Wars AT-AT Walker Sled: The Empire Slides Back

Check out this massive AT-AT walker that doubles as a sled. It wasn’t built by the Empire, which is why it isn’t the size of a skyscraper. Doug Brewbaker, Garret Geiger, and James Groves spent 70 hours building this amazing seven-foot, eight-inch tall AT-AT Walker sled.

This incredible beast was made out of only cardboard, paper, glue, tape, and paint. This huge four-legged sled went up against 50 other competitors at the 8th Annual Cardboard Classic in Lansing, Michigan on January 25th, 2014.

Unfortunately its journey only lasted about 15 seconds as it descended down a hill. I suspect it was a snowspeeder with a tow cable that took it down.

AT-AT Rocking Horse: for Imperial Troops in Training

Rocking horses are so last century. Let your child rock with the might of the Empire with this Rocking AT-AT. How do you think General Veers got started? Start them young and they will pilot the Empire’s best vehicles and crush the rebellion.

Jen from EPBOT, along with her husband, are making this cute rocking AT-AT. The couple started with a template and cut over 40 pieces out of fiber board. The picture above is of their test assembly. It isn’t finished yet. They have to make sure it’s safe to ride and add paint, probably outfit it with some new Snowspeeder defenses. It looks amazing already.

It sure would look great alongside a tauntaun rocking horse.

Gingerbread AT-AT Plays Reindeer Games

At Christmas time everyone loves to wear those antler headbands, even AT-ATs. This awesome gingerbread creation captures an Imperial Walker getting in the holiday spirit. And a little snowspeeder too. I would love to wrap some tow cables around it’s legs and trip it into my hungry and waiting cartoon mouth. Nom nom nom.

This beautiful sculptural treat was made by Magnolia Hotel & Spa in Victoria, Canada. More specifically their hotel restaurant Catalano has created this gingerbread masterpiece for the Canadian National Gingerbread Showcase in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Victoria.

The best part is the red nose. You can almost see other AT-AT Reindeer not letting him join in on their AT-AT Reindeer games. Awesome job guys and gals.

Felted Mini Star Wars AT-AT (All Terrain-Adorable Transport)

Is this not the cutest little AT-AT you’ve ever seen? Why, this little guy would never march forward to the Imperial March theme and lay waste to Rebel forces. He just wouldn’t have it in him. All of the other AT-ATs talk about trampling the rebel scum, but this guy just wants to have peace and smell some flowers. Maybe make friends with a Tauntaun or two.
sad at at 620x413magnify

He is an outcast. He’s just not like the rest. And that makes him sad. Now you see why he has his head down. This adorable AT-AT comes from Etsy artist famished and is about 5″ long and 6″ high.

He would look good sitting on your desk or shelf. I mean, he’s gonna look sad no matter what I guess, but he is cute and will look good with your other collectibles and toys. You can grab him up for $85(USD). The seller has only made two in this style so when they are gone, that’s it.

All of the other AT-ATs (and General Veers) used to last and call him names. They wouldn’t let poor felty join in any AT-AT games.

AT-AT Walker Bookcase: The Empire Strikes Book

There aren’t many more iconic creations from the Star Wars universe than the AT-AT Imperial walkers from The Empire Strikes Back. Sure, they ended up having an Achilles’ heel (or four of them), but I’d like to see you design a walking weapon that can’t be tripped. Fans of the AT-AT will definitely appreciate this piece of furniture – a bookcase made in the form of the Imperial walker.

Diana over at Bit Rebels spotted this awesome AT-AT bookshelf by Whittled in Wood. It’s perfect for holding onto your Star Wars books and collectibles, and while it might designed for a kid’s room, I don’t see any reason why you adults can’t enjoy it too. It’s handmade from birch plywood and other woods, and held together with screws and dowel rods. That sounds pretty sturdy to me, but you still won’t want to let any Rebel snow speeders get near it with tow cables.

The AT-AT bookshelf is available over on Whittled in Wood’s Etsy shop for $565(USD). While you’re over there, you might want to pick up a Millenium Falcon

AT-AT Groom’s Cake, Attack It with a Snowspeeder Fork

We’ve seen some impressive Star Wars cakes, but this AT-AT takes the proverbial cake. This thing looks amazing and the details are super nice – so nice that it doesn’t even look like a cake. It was made by Cake Central member ChrisTheCook for a friend’s wedding and it stands at over two feet-tall.

If the Imperial March isn’t playing in your head at the sight of this cake, I will need to revoke your geek credentials and lock you up in a dark cell without the internet. With a very talkative Jar Jar!

The cake board is covered in snow to look like Hoth of course, though there’s no signs of any edible snowspeeders or tauntaun.

Imperial Ketchup AT-AT Walker: Hothy Sauce

While there have been plenty of images circulating over on Reddit showing the awful, unsanitary things workers do when they’re bored at their fast food jobs, Redditor Txmaluda did something a little more creative – and decidedly less disturbing – with their downtime at work.

imperial ketchup walker

Yes, that’s an AT-AT Imperial Walker made  from plastic ketchup containers and cardboard. Of course, it’s all well and good until the Rebels start firing french fries and chicken nuggets – as it seem to be even more vulnerable than the ones in Empire Strikes Back. You certainly won’t need a tow line to take this AT-AT down.

My favorite part of the picture is the box that says both WHATABURGER and “fancy ketchup.” How fancy can WHATABURGER ketchup really be?

Steampunk AT-AT Liquor Cabinet: for the Lords of the Victorian Empire

Vancouver artist Colin Johnson made a unique piece of furniture shaped like the AT-AT from The Empire Strikes Back. He calls it the Emperor’s Cabinet. You wouldn’t want to take down this Imperial Walker, but you would want to open it up. That’s because it’s hiding drinks behind its door.

Colin made it out of plywood, mahogany veneer, brass and glass. I wonder what a Jedi’s drink of choice would be. I assume the Sith just drink the blood and tears of their victims.
