Girlfriend Is Making This Guy Sell His Giant AT-ST Walker

Man, it isn’t easy being a geek with a girlfriend or wife sometimes. You know the story. You find something you love and you display it. You love it, but she hates it. That’s what happened with the gigantic AT-ST Walker that is for sale on eBay right now. Apparently, its owner’s girlfriend is sick of having it around.

The AT-ST’s owner, Martin Fillery says:

I think my girlfriend is starting to get a bit worried about me. I’ve always been a bit mad, and I love sci-fi stuff, but my spending on props is going through the roof… The Scout Walker is amazing, but I realised pretty quickly that it was just too big to use as on stage, so I’m selling it so I can get more toys.

The 16-foot-tall AT-ST Imperial Walker will cost you £9,800 (~$16,000 USD) – plus you’ll have to figure out how to ship it from the U.K.. You know this guy’s just going to get a bunch of other stuff she hates. This girl has a heart made of carbonite.

How many of us, at some point or another, have actively fantasized about how cool it would be to own an Imperial AT-ST Scout walker? The answer should be "all of us." There’s a chance to make that dream come (kind of) true, and it only costs $15,698.62. Roughly.

16-Foot Star Wars AT-ST Walker Replica: for Half-hearted Invasions

eBay seller Hollywood’s Finest is selling what it claims to be a life-size replica of the All Terrain Scout Transport aka the AT-ST aka the Ewoks’ Bitch. However it seems like Hollywood’s Finest didn’t bother looking up the canonical dimensions of the ill-advised vehicle. This replica is 16ft. tall, but the Empire requires its AT-STs to be about 28ft. high. I think the replica still looks imposing despite its height deficiency.

Hollywood’s Finest said that the replica is made from metal and wood. It appears that the trailer that it’s standing on will be included with the purchase; that’ll make it much easier for the person who buys it to haul it around. The replica can also be detached from the trailer, thanks to an integrated metal stand. The walker’s head can also be lowered between its legs using a built-in winch if you need to fit it in a smaller space.

Offer at least £9,800 (~$15,700 USD) on Hollywood’s Finest’s eBay page to get a chance at owning the AT-ST replica. Just know that your lawn gnomes won’t be afraid of taking it on.

Steampunk AT-ST Desktop Lamp: For Fighting off Desk Ewoks

Desk Ewoks can be a serious problem. They are attracted by crumbs and spills from hundreds of late night gaming sessions with never a clean-up. Yeah, I’m surprised you haven’t seen them yet either. It’s just a matter of time. So how do you combat Desk Ewoks? You get yourself a AT-ST Desktop lamp, that’s what.

This Steampunk AT-ST Lamp was made by Gozdom using wood, bronze and copper overlays and looks pretty awesome. It’s made to resemble the AT-ST scout walker, but with a head that resembles the boiler of a steam locomotive.

Okay, so the Empire’s machines didn’t do so well against Ewoks and their primitive weapons on Endor, but at least you will have a fighting chance when the Desk Ewoks show up.

The Empire Strikes Small: Mini AT-ST Popsicle Stick Models

We would all love to have full sized AT-ST models guarding our front yards (or at least for our cats), but sadly that is beyond reach for most of us. At least you can make some mini AT-ST models from popsicle sticks.

mini at st walkers

These “chicken walkers” proved a challlenge to build compared with other projects because of the two skinny mechanical legs that they balance on. So there may be some difficulty here, but nothing that you can’t overcome. All you need is a few tools, popsicle sticks and some glue and Instructables will show you how to create these mini Imperial vehicles after you finish your frozen treats.

Don’t let tiny Ewoks anywhere near them though. It just takes a pair of smart Ewoks and some logs to really mess up an AT-ST’s day and smash it’s head in.

Star Wars AT-ST Cat Playhouse: CAT-ST

I’m pretty sure the battle of Endor would have turned out differently if the AT-STs had been piloted by cats instead of Imperial troopers. Cats don’t fall for all of those old jungle traps. Plus they would just jump out of the vehicles and claw Wicket and his Ewok friends to pieces.
at st cat playhouse

This AT-ST is a cat house. Not that kind of cat house. A cat play house. For a cat named Buffy. Her owner built her a new Star Wars AT-ST playhouse from left over materials from some home renovations. That’s one lucky cat.

Cat AT-STs would have kicked butt on Endor and they could have been controlled from space, where the second Death Star would shine lasers down on targets and watch these kittytroopers pounce on their targets.
