Adorable baby freaking out about a car wash is how we should all feel

You can totally imagine what this adorable kid going through an automatic car wash for the first time is thinking. He takes a swig out of his juice to take the edge off but is quickly shocked at what he’s seeing. He looks all around at the car wash gadgets (which he probably thinks are monsters), does a double take, a triple take and looks over at his parent with a face that basically says: "Yo, you see this shit?"

Aliens Baby Power Loader Costume: Get Away from Her, You Poopypants!

We’ve actually seen a baby in a Power Loader costume before, but it doesn’t get old. There’s something very creepy and unsettling about seeing a baby in control of a multi-ton machine capable of crushing an Alien Queen like a bug.
baby alien power loadermagnify

This one was built by Carsten Riewe for a Karneval Parade in Germany and it’s a dead ringer for the Caterpillar P5000 exoskeleton power loader from Aliens. But instead of Ripley, his 13-month-old daughter is the one driving this thing. Hopefully she isn’t a temperamental child and won’t destroy the whole town or anything because she didn’t get the toy she wanted. Nah. Don’t worry, her dad is behind her as the real driver.

The costume is a nice piece of work, and took about 100 hours to build. The arms and legs are full moveable and the top-light and LED are powered by a 12 Volt battery pack stored in the backpack. The on/off switch is in the left arm. There is also a Bluetooth boombox in the backpack to play mechanical robot sound effects or music.

LOST Themed Baby Nursery Still Doesn’t Sufficiently Explain the Polar Bear

Fans of LOST may not have liked the ending, but for the most part, it was a great groundbreaking series. It was a fascinating show during the first few seasons. Now you can get your kid into this show too, with a LOST themed nursery. Better late than never, I suppose.

This fun nursery comes from the M&J Collection. The collection features LOST bedding, an Oceanic Airline mobile, a stuffed polar bear, and even Dharma Initiative baby food. No black smoke monster though. You don’t want to scare your child after all.

Let’s be honest, this is more for the parents than the baby, but any excuse will do to have a LOST themed room. It looks amazing.

Your Unborn Baby, Immortalized in a 3D Printed Figure

Technology has made it easier for prospective parents to see what their child looks like, even before he or she is born. There’s ultrasound (to get a rough outline), 3D imaging, and even 4D ultrasound so you can clearly see your unborn baby’s face and physical features in real time.

Now there are 3D printed figures of your unborn baby.

3D Fetus 620x621A company called 3D Babies is offering parents-to-be a chance to see and touch a replica of their unborn child by using data from 3D and 4D ultrasounds. The result is an accurate albeit somewhat creepy 3D model of the developing child.

Three sizes are available: lifesize, which is priced at $600(USD), half-size, which is priced at $400, and mini, which is priced at $200. Clearly, it’s not cheap, and probably only the most excited of parents will choose to spend money on this (although it would probably be smarter if they spent that money on baby supplies instead.)

3D Babies may even offer people a chance to 3D print babies that aren’t their own. For a time, they were even offering 3D prints of North West (Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s baby). Now that’s wrong on so many levels.

When Babies Attack, Only Garbage Men Are Unafraid

I like a good prank, especially when its played on unsuspecting people on the streets. something about strangers getting the crap scared out of them in public makes me smile. A new movie is coming out soon called Devil’s Dueand to promote the film Thinkmodo created a horrific baby to prank passersby.

The creepy animatronic baby was put inside a stroller. Both stroller and baby are remote controlled and the little devil can pop up and shoot milk out of its mouth Linda Blair style. You have to watch the video yourself, so I won’t give any more away:

Needless to say, people scare easily. That is until the devil baby rolls up on the trash man, he doesn’t even blink. Clearly, he is someone that has seen it all.

Wrap Up Your BurriTOT in This Tortilla Swaddle Blanket

Raising a kid is a huge responsibility (and from what I’ve seen my sister go through so far, it’s also the cause of many pains and frustrations.) But the fun thing about babies is that you can dress them up in whatever clothes you want, and they don’t have any say because, well, they don’t really care.

This isn’t exactly an article of clothing. It’s actually a swaddle blanket and it’s designed to turn your baby into a burriTOT! (Sorry, couldn’t resist!) The blanket itself looks like a gigantic tortilla, and your baby is the filling.

Don’t be surprised when people’s heads turn your way when your baby’s wrapped in this and you happen to be out and about, because it’ll probably look like you’re embracing a gigantic burrito.

Power Ranger Onesies for Your Mighty, Morphin Poopin’ Machines

Go, go, Power Rangers!

The theme song would play at full volume every time my sisters and I got home from school. We made a deal with our mom then that we’d do our homework every night and eat all the vegetables on our plates if she let us watch the show when school let out. I don’t watch the show anymore and don’t even follow it now, but I still have fond memories of that part of my childhood.

Whether you have similar stories or grew up watching the mighty, morphin Power Rangers fight evil in your PJs, then you will no doubt find these Power Ranger onesies adorable! They’re currently sold out since they were marked down to $5 each for the holiday season, but hopefully they’ll be back in stock next year so you dress your little one in proper Ranger garb.

The Power Ranger onesies were available in red, pink, green, yellow, black, and blue. What, no white Power Ranger?

Tablet Toddlers Rejoice: The Apptivity Seat is a Baby Chair with an iPad Dock

What’s the difference between a kid today and a kid from a couple of decades ago? Here’s a big one: When you tell a kid to play these days, most will run off to get their parent’s smartphone or their iPad. However, if you told a kid from the nineties or before the same thing, they’d probably grab a couple of friends and start playing tag outside.

Taking things to even more of an extreme, we’re now giving babies our mobile devices. Fisher-Price recently released the iPad Apptivity Seat, which is essentially a baby chair with an iPad dock that holds the tablet at less than an arm’s length away from the baby’s face. Whether they came up with it based on actual need (ie. having parents send in requests for such a chair) or because someone in the company thought it would be a good idea, no one knows.

While there are definitely numerous apps and games targeting young children, I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to slap a tablet in front of the face of babies instead of the human interaction they need and crave.

Kids these days are more tech savvy, and while that’s not necessarily a bad thing, I think they should go outdoors, run around, and play actual games once in a while. If you believe otherwise and actually need something like the Apptivity seat, then you can check it out here, where it’s priced at $75(USD).

Piv-O Convertible Stroller Can Provide Years Of Transportation For Your Child

As a soon-to-be father, I can tell you that one of the most challenging new purchases my wife and I have to make is buying a stroller as we want our baby to be as comfortable as possible while we take her out for a stroll. Buying a new stroller each time your child grows out of the old one can be extremely expensive, which is why the Piv-O Stroller is something that I’d be extremely interested in. (more…)
