Back to the Future Sports Almanac is Real, As an iPad Case

Now Back To The Future fans can turn their iPad into the Grays Sports Almanac that Old Biff gave to Young Biff in Back to the Future II. It’s just too bad that it didn’t arrive in time to get some future scores.

Oh well. So you won’t get rich with this thing, but at least your iPad will be protected and look awesome. And who knows, maybe some dude from the past will steal it from you. Then he’ll be upset that it has no sports results and all he got was a lousy flat TV. Which will then lead to an iPad being manufactured in 1984. Great Scott!

BTTF’s Grays Sports Almanac iPad Case Only Makes You Rich in Spirit

BTTF's Grays Sports Almanac iPad Case Only Makes You Rich in Spirit

Trumped only by the time-traveling Delorean itself as the greatest movie plot device of all time, the copy of Grays Sport Almanac that put the events of Back to the Future II into motion can now be yours—as an iPad case. Gone are the pages and pages of sports scores and statistics, not that they’d be any good to you for predicting the future anyways, because they only go up to the year 2000.

Pay for a Blast from the Past: Rent a ‘Back to the Future’ DeLorean

Ever wished you could go back to the past or travel through time into the future? I have, and I’m not ashamed to admit it. A lot of people would give the pageant-perfect answer and say no, explaining that they wouldn’t be who they were today had they changed their past experiences.

I agree with that sentiment most of the time, but there’s also the case of committing mistakes consciously, just because you were in the heat of the moment or just weren’t thinking at all, period. Of course, time travel is impossible in this world, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t pay to experience a literal blast from the past.

Rent a DeLorean

There’s currently a rental service that’s lending off a street-legal DeLorean time machine that looks like it came off the set of Back to the Future. It’s not one of the actuals car they used in the movie, though it’s a pretty good replica of the iconic car-slash-time machine.

The rental service is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota during the warm season and in Las Vegas, Nevada during the cold season. However, they can travel to “practically any location in the continental United States and Canada,” should you have a need for a time-traveling DeLorean.

Hourly rates are discussed on a case-to-case basis, so you might want to get in touch with Time Machine Rental if you’re interested.

Oh, and where you’re going, you’re probably going to need roads.

Is This the Closest We’ll Ever Get To Seeing a Back to the Future Hoverboard Fly?

Everyone wants a hoverboard. Everyone. Don’t even try to disagree. But while you can buy a lame-o, non-working Back to the Future-style ‘board, it’s just not the real thing. Crazy optimists can hold out hope for 2015, but in the meantime, this clever little picture by François Dourlen is probably the best we can do. More »

Oh Yes, An Iranian Scientist Has Invented a Time Machine (So He Says)

Ali Razeghi, an Iranian scientist who is the managing director of Iran’s Centre for Strategic Inventions, has done something only the great Doc Brown has done: he’s created a time machine. But unlike Doc’s DeLorean, Razeghi’s “The Aryayek Time Traveling Machine” can only take you to the future. What are we waiting for? Let’s go! More »

I Love This Little Girl Who Wants to Make a Hoverboard After Watching Back to the Future II

This short film, “Hoverboard”, is about a girl and her teddy bear trying to create a hoverboard after watching Back to the Future II. I can totally relate to her because I was trying to make my own hoverboard really hover just last month. You’re an inspiration girl! More »

Watch Back To The Future Boiled Down to 60 Awesome Seconds of Animation

Back to the Future is a classic, a mastery of the zany-time-travel form, and we’d all like to watch it every day if we had the time, I’m sure. But we don’t. Lucky for you, the guys at 1A4 Studio worked a little time-related magic of their own and boiled the whole 116 minute film down into a cool, 60 seconds of animation. It’s a classic in its own right. If I Can’t Have a DeLorean Time Machine, I’d Totally Take This DeLorean Hovercraft Instead

I’ve grown up. I’ve faced reality. I now know that getting a DeLorean time machine like in Back to the Future isn’t going to happen any time soon. I think I’m okay with it. I’d definitely be okay with it if I could replace the DeLorean-sized hole in my heart with this awesome DeLorean Hovercraft. It was spotted tearing up the beaches of San Francisco and great Scott it looks so freaking fun. More »

DeLorean Hovercraft Caught In The Wild In San Francisco

We’ve covered Back To The Future quite a bit here at Ubergizmo since we know, just like us, you’re all probably big fans of the films, TV shows and delicious cereal. We’ve seen hoverboards, sneakers and a LEGO set inspired by Back to the Future. But have you ever seen a DeLorean hovercraft? You have?! Well, let’s make believe you didn’t so the rest of the class could enjoy this video.

A few days ago, YouTube user Terry Barentsen happened to be in the right place at the right time as a hovercraft made to look like a DeLorean was seen driving around. Since it didn’t reach 88 miles-per-hour, it wasn’t able to travel through time, but we’re sure Doc Brown would still be proud of this creation, even though this thing doesn’t move quite as well as the real DeLorean, or even the hoverboard.

We’re not sure what exactly is going on with California as a RC Superman was spotted there just a few weeks ago. We’re just happy there are people around to record these bizarre instances so they can spread through the Internet life wildfire.
