Entertainment and DC Entertainment have prepared a year-long celebration for the Caped Crusader’s 75th birthday, most of which involves getting you to buy more stuff from them. A notable exception? Awesome Batman Sleeve Tattoo: Where Does He Get That Wonderful Ink?

There is something about the colors in the older comic books that today’s comics just don’t have. They were bright and vibrant and just jumped off the page in a way that today’s do not. Maybe it was the ink that they used. Anyway, this amazing Batman tattoo captures this spot on.

This super detailed, full-color tattoo by British artist Ian Hopkins truly brings the classic Batman comic books to life. This is pre-Dark Knight Batman, when the colors were alive and stunning.

This tattoo won him a prize at the Titanic Ink Tattoo Convention in Southampton, UK and took him 40 hours of work to complete. Amazing job, Ian!

Dad Builds Kids a Batpod Replica

One of the coolest things about Batman is all his gadgets. I particularly like the gadgets that he had to play with in the Dark Knight trilogy like the Batpod and Tumbler. Inspired by the Bat’s wonderful toys, a dad made a really cool Batpod for his kids.

bstpodmagnify

But unlike the bike in the movies, this Batpod is sized for the man’s 10 and 12-year-old boys to enjoy. The bike uses an Alltrax AXE 4844 controller running a Mars ME0709 electric motor, and the Batpod is powered by a quartet of lead-acid batteries from a car. I think I would worry about those lead-acid batteries in a vehicle that is destined to spend lots of time tossed on its side. The power system has a maximum of 50 volts and the bike can hit speeds of 37mph.

Check out the videos to see the bike in action along with some kids that aren’t big on safety gear other than a helmet.

Superheros Poop Too

You know how superfans are. These are the folks who want a lock of hair from their idol or a used Kleenex. It’s weird, I know. Overly-obsessed superhero superfans who are in this category will certainly want to buy some superhero poop from their favorite hero. And now they can.

That Hulk poop with the fist on the end? That’s gotta hurt coming out. No wonder he is so freakin’ mad all the time. Never mind the fact that it’s green and purple. At least he’s a doctor, I suppose.

So if you ever wanted some superhero poo, you can get a jar for only $15.99 to $19.99(USD). Enjoy your purchase. You weirdo.

Batman: Arkham Origins DLC To Be Prioritized Over Bug Fixes

Batman: Arkham Origins DLC To Be Prioritized Over Bug FixesFor gamers who have been playing Batman: Arkham Origins, you may or may not have noticed that the game is somewhat buggy. However it is expected of most games where there are bound to be minor bugs that might have been missed, but at the same time, Arkham Origins also have some game breaking bugs, such as corrupted save files, repeated crashes in certain parts of the games, being locked out of missions and so on. Naturally one would expect Warner Bros. Games Montreal to get on those bugs ASAP, right? Oddly enough that does not seem to be the case. (more…)

Batman Assault on Wayne Manor LEGO Set Looks Amazing

LEGO already has some really cool DC Comics sets, but we can never have too many. This “Assault on Wayne Manor” design by LEGO Cuusoo contributor DarthKy is definitely worthy. Bruce Wayne’s mansion has never looked so amazing (though his Batcave has.)

    wayne manor 620x348magnify

In this proposed set, you’ll get Wayne Manor and minifigs of Ra’s al Ghul, Red Hood, Firefly, Batgirl, Lucius Fox, Bruce Wayne, Alfred, and Batman. The manor even has secret passages and a Batcave. Because what would Wayne Manor be without the Batcave.

    batman wayne manor 3magnify

    batman wayne manor 3a 620x610magnify

The set is designed to hinge out into multiple sections, so you can open it up and reveal each section of the interior of Wayne Manor’s interior.

    batman wayne manor 6 620x310magnify

This set is estimated at 2,000-2,800 pieces, and the detail is quite impressive.

    batman wayne manor 2 620x348magnify

    batman wayne manor 4 620x348magnify

The Batcave even has some of Batman’s best known trophies, including a T. Rex, a giant Lincoln penny, Mr. Freeze’s gun, a Joker card, and some green Kryptonite. What, no Two-Face coin?

    batman wayne manor 5 620x348magnify

If the set gets 10,000 votes on Cuusoo, LEGO has no choice but to look at it and evaluate it for possible production. It’s almost halfway there. I think it will reach the goal easily – and it doesn’t hurt that LEGO already has a business deal with DC Comics either.

You can find more images of Wayne Manor over on Flickr, and show your support by heading to Cuusoo now and casting your vote!
