Ultimate Bat Cave: Dark Knight Rises Movie Theater

If you have a Bruce Wayne sized bank account, you may want to turn your man cave into a bat cave like this Dark Knight home theater. You see that bookcase on the left? It slides out to reveal a Tumbler behind it. How cool is that?

There’s also a spare bat-suit or two for that imminent change into character, several seats for all of your bat friends and all of the controls are in back. The stalagmites on the ceiling are a nice touch. This setup is so good that you expect to see some actual bats flying around inside.

Those seats look mighty comfy too. Just sit down, set up the movie, have Alfred bring you some popcorn and watch your favorite Batman flick.

Check out this awesome Batcave home theater

Every Batman fan wishes that he could have his own Batcave in his house, and it looks as though it is now a possibility to have your own Batcave which will serve a dual-purpose as a home theater as well. Elite Home Theater Seating designed the room for a client in California and will provide the seats. They said they wanted to “fuse together the cozy elements of Wayne Manor with the Art Deco styling of Gotham City.”

You’ve got your invitations with gold batarangs, your black wedding dress with gold utility belt like belt etc. It’s all gold and black using the Batman costume from the movies as inspiration. The Batsignal could be used to signal the bride and groom to walk down the aisle. And I would also suggest that the ring bearer look like Jim Gordon or Robin.

Hopefully we will see some couples use some of these ideas and throw an awesome Batman-themed wedding (and send us some pics.)

The Dark Knight Rises tribute watch by Jaeger-LeCoultre revealed

Unknown to a few Batman fans, Swiss high-end luxury watch and clock manufacturer Jaeger-LeCoultre has actually designed watches for Batman movies. And it seems that Bruce Wayne is loving the famed manufacturer’s work so far. Now that Christopher Nolan’s third and final Dark Knight Rises film has been released to complete the Batman trilogy, Jaeger-LeCoultre is honoring Gotham’s hero by designing a special tribute Reverso chronograph similar to the one worn by Christian Bale in the Dark Knight Rises flick. The watch features a flippable steel case and an engraved bat logo on the back, which is pretty awesome. Availability and pricing has not been announced, although you can check out this watch alongside the one worn by Val Kilmer in Batman Forever at specialty JLC boutiques in Geneva, London, Los Angeles and Hong Kong.

The Dark Knight Rises now on iOS and Android

TDKR gameIf you’ve just come back from the cinema after watching The Dark Knight Rises and you’re still amped about the movie, you can quench your thirst thanks to Gameloft. The previously announced The Dark Knight Rises game that was promised this summer is now available for you to get your hands on. The game is a third-person beat-em-up (like most superhero mobile games from Gameloft tend to be) where players are put into the shoes of Batman and have to clean up the streets of Gotham. I haven’t played the game myself, but I’m assuming it will follow the movie’s story line so those of you who haven’t seen the movie should probably stay away unless you want it spoiled.

Contrary to previous reports, Gameloft isn’t releasing this game as a freemium and will set you back $6.99. It is available now from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. If you do check it out, let us know what you think. We’ve heard it’s a hefty download so make sure you’re on WiFi and near a power source for everything to go smoothly.

Sakar International offers Batman-themed electronics

Sakar International must have decided that it is a good thing to team up with a movie franchise that is more or less guaranteed to be a huge hit this summer – The Dark Knight Rises, that is. After all, this is the final installment in the Dark Knight trilogy, and Sakar International intends to milk this particular partnership for all it is worth. I suppose kids would benefit the most from this, as you can always kick start your day with the Batman Alarm Clock Radio which will project the Bat-Signal on the wall or ceiling, while there is also a 3-in-1 digital camera that delivers still, video and web-cam capability alongside a trio of interchangeable face plates.

Want to get a little bit more adventurous with your imagination? Not an issue, thanks to the three-piece Batman Adventure Kit that comprises of adventure necessities, including a 35mm camera, flashlight and binoculars. Too bad all of these gadgets and toys do not come with the brains that Bruce Wayne has, not to mention his street fighting ability and the knowledge of disabling his enemy. Ah well, it is just time to send your imagination into overdrive, that’s all.

I do find it rather strange that Sakar International’s site lacks the relevant information on something this big…weird. [Press Release]

Rotten Tomatoes Had to Protect Dark Knight Rises Critics from Bloodthirsty Fans [Batman]

People really like Christopher Nolan movies. They like them so much that everyone knows they like them before they even see the movies. So much, in fact, that they’ll cuss out and threaten any critics who disagree so badly that Rotten Tomatoes has to disable commenting for the movie—a first for the site. More »

LEGO The Dark Knight Rises Minifigures Rise

Give your minifigs the hero they deserve – and the villain they don’t – with these official The Dark Knight Rises minifigures. They’re far from the first minifigs of Batman or even Bane, but they are the only ones officially based on the movie. In fact, they’re so faithful to the movie that you’ll have a hard time understanding minifig Bane.
