Batman: Arkham Origins For Wii U Will Be Priced Cheaper Due To Lack Of Multiplayer

Batman: Arkham Origins For Wii U Will Be Priced Cheaper Due To Lack Of MultiplayerBack in August it was revealed that the Wii U version of Batman: Arkham Origins will not come with multiplayer mode, leaving some to wonder if this meant that the game would cost less for Wii U gamers. After all it did not make sense for Wii U gamers to pay the same price for the game as other platform owners, but at the same time be denied access to a rather big feature. Well the good news is that it turns out that the game will cost less for gamers who own the Wii U, according to a rep of the publisher for the game who confirmed the price cut to Kotaku.

The game will see a price cut of $10, meaning that the game will cost $50 instead of $60. Granted it might not seem like too big of a cut, but we guess something is better than nothing, right? It is unclear as to why the Wii U version of the game will not see multiplayer mode. Last we heard the developers wanted to focus on platforms with a larger audience, which does seem a little unfair. We’re not sure if this feature will be added in the future through a patch, but for now Wii U gamers should not expect to see a multiplayer mode if they were to get their hands on the game.

Batman Wedding Cake Has a Secret Identity: Two-Face Cake

How awesome is this? This Batman cake has a secret identity, just like Batman himself. By day, it is a beautiful mild mannered wedding cake, but by night it is a dark and sugary guardian of Gotham.

Bruce Wayne can eat from the front half when attending the wedding, then at night he can get icing all over his cowl when no one is looking. It was made by New Zealand based Stiletto Studio who knows how to make an amazing wedding cake that even Two-Face would love.

Cut it in half and you can please the traditionalists and the geeks in one shot.

    If Batman Wore Scalemaille

Over the years Batman’s suit has ranged from a form-fitting nylon leotard to lightweight carbon composites. But if Batman dwelled in medieval times, I bet he’d have worn something like this.

This scalemaille armor Batsuit was handmade by Creations by Christopher. The body is made from almost 27,000 individual stainless steel rings, 4,500 large anodized aluminum scales, and another 3,000 small ones.

The armor weighs in at about 60 pounds, and includes not only the upper body, breastplate, pauldron and backplate, but it comes with a pair of matching Bat-bracers, and a cuisse to protect your lower body. The suit is rounded out with a fabric cape and boots, as well as a helmet with bat-like knife-ears – though Christopher didn’t make the helmet himself.

The whole getup was custom-made for a web series called Legends: The Dark Knight, and is now available for sale up on Etsy. Unless you’re Bruce Wayne, you’ll need to save up a few paychecks for this suit though – as it’s going for $9500(USD). Also, you need to be 6-feet-tall, weigh about 190 pounds, and have a 32″ waist. Though if you can afford another $1000 or so, Christopher will custom make one to your size.

Detailed Batman Cowl Replica: Will the Real Adam West Please Stand up?

There’s cosplay and then there’s COSPLAY. If you’re serious about your costuming, and you’re into Batman, then you’ll want to start pinching your pennies now. Unless that is, you’re Bruce Wayne – then you can already afford to buy this stitch-perfect Batman cowl based on the one that Adam West wore in the 1960s TV series.

Each cowl is handmade by Williams Studio 2, and is as accurate as anything I’ve ever seen. It’s made from custom dyed Lastex, with a fiberglass shell, paint, foam, leather, and snaps to hold it in place. The pattern for this mask was made using a show-original cowl as a reference, and even the color of the eyebrow paint was Pantone-matched to the original.

Apparently, this thing is so perfect that Adam West himself owns one of these replicas. If you’d like one for yourself, you’re going to need to pony up $1,500(USD), but that’s chump change to Gotham’s number one billionaire, right? While you’re on a spending binge, why not grab an Adam West head to go with it?

The City of Marseille Needs Batman

It looks like the citizens of Marseille, France’s second largest city, need a guardian. Of course they want the best. Batman. Residents of Marseille are fed up with the crime in the city. Gang crimes have escalated and the politicians are not doing anything.

So now they have created an online petition asking for the Caped Crusader to help them. A few thousand people have signed it and liked the accompanying Facebook page. Even though this is a mock petition, it sends the message they want. They are fed up and it is time for a change. The petition says that adding more police officers is just a band-aid that’s not curing anything.

Hopefully the city leaders get the message, because Batman is already too busy fighting crime in the U.S.

Ben Affleck will play an older Batman fighting the young Superman

The odds of Batman Vs. Superman being an interesting film just went up somewhat. Because Batman, who apparently will be kicking Superman’s ass judging from the speech we heard at Comic-Con, will be played by Argo director Ben Affleck.

    Everything Wrong with Batman Begins

2005 was quite a long time ago! That was back when everyone had an iPod, that was when we knew Android as just being a robot and that was the year that Batman Begins came out. And though Batman Begins certainly was a fantastic movie that kicked off an even more fantastic trilogy, there were still little annoyances in the film. Our friends at Cinema Sins found 50. Totally worth it for The Dark Knight. [CinemaSins]
