Dad Builds Kids a Batpod Replica

One of the coolest things about Batman is all his gadgets. I particularly like the gadgets that he had to play with in the Dark Knight trilogy like the Batpod and Tumbler. Inspired by the Bat’s wonderful toys, a dad made a really cool Batpod for his kids.

But unlike the bike in the movies, this Batpod is sized for the man’s 10 and 12-year-old boys to enjoy. The bike uses an Alltrax AXE 4844 controller running a Mars ME0709 electric motor, and the Batpod is powered by a quartet of lead-acid batteries from a car. I think I would worry about those lead-acid batteries in a vehicle that is destined to spend lots of time tossed on its side. The power system has a maximum of 50 volts and the bike can hit speeds of 37mph.

Check out the videos to see the bike in action along with some kids that aren’t big on safety gear other than a helmet.

This Batpod replica was put together using scrap metal

Christopher Nolan’s rendition of the Batman franchise has some pretty awesome vehicles in there, such as the Tumber, the Batpod and The Bat. However it is safe to assume that if anyone wanted to own any of those vehicles, replicas included, well that’s going to cost them a lot of money, such as this custom Batpod replica which costs a whopping $100,000. While not exactly the most spot-on replica we’ve seen, Tùng Lâm of Vietnam has managed to piece together a pretty close copy and surprisingly it only costs $480. Why so cheap, you ask? Well it might be hard to tell, but Tùng Lâm’s replica of the Batpod was actually put together using scrap metal parts which might explain why it was pretty cheap. Best of all it appears to be street legal, or at least the cops haven’t pulled him over for it yet. You can see Tùng Lâm cruising down the streets of Vietnam on his Batpod replica in the video above.

Batpod Motorcycle Replica Built from Junk

It takes a serious Batman fan to build a replica of any of the Dark Knight’s vehicles. It is even more impressive when they build them from junk as is the case with this Batpod motorcycle.

It not only looks amazing, but this is a fully functional hand-built Dark Knight BatPod. It was made from scrap metal parts by Vietnam’s Tùng Lâm. It looks like it cost him a fortune to build, but believe it or not, it cost just $480(USD). That’s a lot less than Bruce Wayne paid for his (or the $100,000 for this replica.)

The video shows Tùng tearing up the streets on this cool vehicle and just generally feeling good and being his own superhero. You can see more pics from the build at the link below.
