People, muster up all your creative juices and imagine the most ridiculous bed you can think of. Is it a waterbed? Obviously. Can it play music from your iPhone? Totally. Does it vibrate to the beat of that music? Yes, it can. Can it sync 50 LED lights to the beating of your heart? Yup.
It seems like snoring has become more of an epidemic than any of us have realized. At CES, Sleep Number revealed its IQ bed
Bedjet Bed Heater & Fan: a Weird Appliance in the Streets but a Source of Heat in the Sheets
Posted in: Today's ChiliDo you find it hard to stay warm during winter even with the heater on? Well then I envy you, because it’s always hot and humid where I am. But Mark Aramli knows that feel bro, which is why he and his colleagues Scott Milligan and Shaun K. designed the Bedjet, a localized heater and fan for beds.
The Bedjet has a nozzle that’s meant to stick under your blanket or comforter. The rest of its body stays on your floor, so you don’t have to worry about getting electrocuted or having your toes sucked in its blades. Unlike conventional heaters or electric blankets, the Bedjet can supposedly raise the temperature under your bedding by 30ºF in as little as 3 minutes. If you need it to keep cool, the Bedjet can also feed air in at room temperature.
Another neat thing about the Bedjet is that it comes with a remote control, which lets you toggle the main power as well as control the timer and blower speed of the device. The Bedjet will also get a mobile app version of the remote if they hit at least $175,000 on Kickstarter.
Pledge at least $249 (USD) on Kickstarter to get a Bedjet as a reward.

Devices that collect all kinds of fitness and health metrics populated the halls of CES this year, but Sleep Number revealed one of the more intriguing options with its new x12 bed featuring the company’s SleepIQ technology. In addition to providing as comfy a night’s sleep as possible through a series of inflatable cushions and the company’s Sleep Number system, the bed also keeps tabs on your slumber letting you know how restful an evening you had through an accompanying app.
What makes traveling costly aside from airplane tickets and transport is the price you have to pay in order to get decent accommodations. One possible solution lies in the Fold Inn.
As its name suggests, it’s a bedroom that you can set up wherever you might need accommodations, so you can unfold it and get ready for bed when you’re ready to turn in for the night.
When it’s fully expanded, the Fold Inn is about the size of an average elevator. Packed inside is a bed and cushy bedding so you rest easy and snooze comfortably. Additionally, the walls are made from sturdy wood so your privacy is assured.
While it’s not something you’d probably carry around with you, it’s an innovative idea for reconfiguring spaces into sleeping quarters on an as-needed basis – such as when companies are bringing in workers from remote locations.
The Fold Inn was designed by Lieke Jildou de Jong and Alei Verspoor. It was on display this past October at the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, Netherlands.

Here is yet another story about parents who go the extra mile for their kids. In this case, these parents created an awesome Super Mario Bros. themed bedroom for their daughter. The daughter requested it and the parents went well beyond the call of duty in giving it to her.
And they didn’t cheat by using all stickers either. The only stickers are Mario and Bowser. The rest of it was painted by hand. Not too shabby. Redditor carpenter75 estimates that it took about 60 hours painting all those bricks, and the total cost for the project was only about $700(USD). Not bad for bringing a classic game to life.
The room even has sounds from the game and an NES system. Now she truly feels like Princess Peach in her castle.

Portal Bedroom: Aperture Inn
Posted in: Today's ChiliA couple of years ago we saw a Portal-themed bedroom that a father made for his son. Accountant/interior design nut/test subject Lauren recently shared her take on a Portal-themed bedroom on Reddit. It’s neat, creepy and very geeky. Doug Rattman would hate to stay here.
Lauren wanted to make it so her bedroom was filled with references to the game but still looked tidy and could be appreciated by someone who wasn’t familiar with the game. I think she didn’t quite succeed with the latter, but the room does look clean despite the grimy borders and the terrifying scrawl on her closet. The room really shines when its orange and blue LEDs take over though, especially the ones on the Portal guns and on Lauren’s infinity mirrors, which were made by her friend Steve Gilbertson.
Open a portal to Imgur or on Lauren’s website to see more pictures of her bedroom.

If you have been dying to get between two buns and sleep in a non-greasy cheeseburger bed, this is the bedding for you. It comes from Davidelfin of Madrid. It looks like a cheeseburger, but thankfully doesn’t smell like one.
In fact it’s a double cheeseburger, which is even better. This duvet will cost you €90 – €130 (~$117 – $170USD) depending on the size of your bed. For that price, you get two square sesame seed bun pillow covers too.
Of course this is just going to make you hungry at bed time. Still, I wouldn’t kick it out of my bed for dropping sesame seeds.

What’s with all of these kids getting special geek bedrooms and beds shaped like vehicles? I had a boring room with a boring bed because I had boring parents. Yeah, I’m a little bitter. Anyway, this is a pretty awesome Zelda inspired bedroom. Lucky kid.
This Zelda room is great, but it’s not the only special room this kid had. He had a Mario nursery, but when his parents felt that he outgrew it, they gave him this room. See, this kid had two cool rooms. My parents suck.
They have a second child on the way, so this room was made to accommodate two kids. You guys are great parents. Unlike some people. Check out more pictures here.

Love lounging around? Love burritos? Then you’ll most likely love the Blandito, or at least the thought that went behind it.
The Blandito is basically a giant pita-shaped sleeping mat that looks extremely cushy and comfortable. It’s convertible, too. Just twist it this way and that and tie it shut to wrap yourself (and your significant other) into a warm embrace.
The Blandito isn’t available for purchase yet, although you can bookmark its page on Behance and check back often for updates. This stop-motion video shows all the ways the Blandito can be folded, wrapped, and twisted into shape:
