Bem Wireless Speaker Watch

Bem Wireless Speaker WatchWhat you see above sure as heck looks like a watch, but the question to ask is, is this a timepiece to begin with? The answer would be, “No”. Pretty strange, don’t you think so? Let us explain what the Bem Wireless Speaker Watch is all about from the get go. This is worn around your wrist like a normal timepiece, but what it does is actually to function as a regular portable speaker, playing back tunes to anything compatible device that is connected to it wirelessly. The Bem Wireless Speaker Watch will use a Bluetooth connection to hook up to your smartphone or tablet, and it will then be able to play back for all and sundry to hear what you have on your playlist at that point in time.

Heck, you can also get that conference call done, although most of the modern day smartphones already come with more than a decent loudspeaker option to get the job executed well. The Bem Wireless Speaker Watch would retail for $70 a pop just in case you are interested, and the colors that it comes in could be rather gaudy in nature when you think about it – we are talking about extremely bright shades of aqua, pink, and kermit green, although for those who prefer to lay low, there are the standard issue white, black, and gray colors.

    Bēm Wireless Boom Box: Boomtooth

There are plenty of Bluetooth boom boxes available, but I have to say that this one from Bēm looks quite interesting. The overall shape is reminiscent of a traditional boom box, and the handle will let you lug it around quite easily from place to place.

The Bēm Wireless Boom Box looks like it belongs in 2001: A Space Odyssey, and it delivers quite a bit of punch for your mobile devices, with a top output of 105dB. It will last 10 hours on a charge, and comes with a 3.5mm audio port to directly connect your devices as well. There are only three buttons on the speaker, play/pause, volume up and volume down.

bēm x The Public Zoo Bluetooth Speakers: Cute Critters and Happy Sounds

It seems there are a squillion different Bluetooth speakers on the market these days, so how do you choose which one to buy? You could pick one because of its size or sound quality, or you could just pick one because it looks cute. Fortunately, these speakers from bēm and The Public Zoo satisfy all of the above criteria.

These loveable little speaker cubes measure just 2.35″ x 2.35″ x 2.5″, and are embellished on three sides by the whimsical art of illustrator Han L. Lee. I can’t decide which of the three designs is my favorite, but I think I have to go with the panda bear with the eyepatch. Yes, the eyepatch has eyes of its own. How goofy is that?

The little bēm speaker connects with any Bluetooth device, and in my testing I found it easy to set up and provided very good sound quality for its size. I had to crank it up to its highest volume level before I experienced distortion, and at reasonable volume levels, the little speaker can fill a small room or office with its omnidirectional sound. It’s even got pretty decent bass thanks to a sound-conductive rubber pad on the bottom. You can recharge the speaker via its Mini USB port, and it also has a aux 3.5mm input for wired gadgets.

So put on your eyepatch and red bowtie and head over to bēm, where you can get The Public Zoo Bluetooth Speaker for $69.99(USD).

Bem Outlet Speaker: Plug in Your Tunes

There are plenty of wireless speakers on the market these days, but sometimes, you just need a small speaker to deliver the right amount of sound at the right place. While outlets might not be optimally placed, this speaker takes advantage of the fact that most wireless speakers still need to be plugged in – at least to be charged.

The Bem Outlet Speaker  just plugs into a North American 110V outlet and connects with mobile devices via Bluetooth. Once your devices are within 25-feet and paired, simply hit the play button, the music will flow. The compact speaker is only sightly bigger than a juice box, so you can hide it away pretty much anywhere. It will cover up most of the outlet, so you’ll have to watch that if you use many of yours. It’s also got a USB port and 3.5mm jack for connecting wired devices.

Bēm Wireless intros four Bluetooth speakers, aims to fulfill your wireless audio needs

dnp Bm wireless intros four Bluetooth speakers, aims to fulfill your wireless audio needsre

Never heard of, Bēm Wireless? Don’t worry, it’s our first time, too. The audio company has taken to this year’s CES to show of quartet of interesting wireless speakers. First up, its $300 Speaker Trio consists of a charging base that houses three wireless speakers — no word whether it’s inductive, though, we’d hope so for that price. The cube-shaped sound pushers have a 120 foot range in total over Bluetooth, and come in either black or white. If you like the aesthetic of the Trio but only need one for traveling, the company also offers its Mobile Speaker. The unit runs over Bluetooth, comes in size colors and costs a cool $70.

Beyond those, Bēm is highlighting its larger Boom Box 2.1 Bluetooth system with a handle, which looks similar to Sony’s NFC-loaded $99 SRS-BTM8. Sadly, it may be harder sell at $250 (if it’s similar in size to Sony’s), but it’ll net you 10 hours of wire-free music streaming per charge. Last up in the lineup is the “juice box-sized” Outlet Speaker, priced at $99. Similar to an offering by JBL, the unit plugs directly in your power outlet, letting you stream music over Bluetooth from “up to 25 feet” away. We’ll do our best to check these out on the show floor, so check out the press release past the break to find more info in the meantime.

    Bem Outlet Speaker

bem outlet speaker Bem Outlet Speaker[CES 2013] It is not every day that we see a speaker of this size and functionality. I know, the power outlet in your home is more often than not plugged in with all the essentials, and some of us who adamantly refuse to jump aboard the wireless connectivity bandwagon at home have relied on Powerplug networking technology to remain wired to the Internet? Here is a novel take on the humble yet all important power outlet – with the $99.99 Bem Outlet Speaker.

The name itself, the Bem Outlet Speaker, ought to shed a whole lot of light on just what this bad boy delivers. Basically, all that you are required to do is plug it in, pair it up with a compatible device via a Bluetooth connection, hit the play button, and start to groove to the kind of tunes that you have loaded earlier on. It will work wherever there is a power outlet in the vicinity, and considering its diminutive size of being a wee bit larger than a juice box, this is one easy traveler.

bem wireless Bem Mobile Speaker[CES 2013] They say that good things come in small packages, and assuming that the Bem Mobile Speaker lives up to all that it is supposed to be, one would agree with the prior statement. It is said that the Bem Mobile Speaker packs far more punch than it looks, especially in this day and age where plenty of emphasis is placed on the external design of a device. Well, the Bem Mobile Speaker was specially developed to target travelers as well as consumers who are interested in a grab-and-go option.

The Bem Mobile Speaker will hook up to a smartphone or other compatible device (Bluetooth-enabled, of course) via Bluetooth technology. If you do not have a device that comes with Bluetooth connectivity, fret not – there is always the wired option to fall back upon, but it more or less defeats the whole purpose of living in the 21st century. Having said that, you can fall back upon the Aux In & Aux Out connections if you so desire. The Bem Mobile Speaker will come in black, white, ruby, orange, bright green and purple colors, retailing for $69.99 apiece.

    Bem Boom Box

bem boombox Bem Boom Box[CES 2013] The boom box is something that those of us who grew up in the 1980s were able to identify with, and even until now, there are iPod docks and peripherals that come in the design of a boom box, although it has been updated to be able to cradle your latest iOS-powered device lovingly. Well, Bem does not want to be left behind the times, which is why they have come up with the rather plain looking Bem Boom Box as it is called.

Basically, the Bem Boom Box will allow you to tote your favorite tunes on the road, wherever you go. This will obviously help nudge you towards realizing your life long dream of living the wireless lifestyle. All in all, this wireless, Bluetooth-enabled device is ideal for those who are always on the move, where it comes in a durable front and back metal casing (albeit looking rather boring), accompanied by soft touch finish and stunning sound. 2.1 stereo sound will definitely give your audio more muscle, and it has a battery life of up to 10 hours of continuous playback. You can pick up the Bem Boom Box in black or white at $249.99 a pop.

    Bem Speaker Trio Announced

bem speakertrio Bem Speaker Trio Announced[CES 2013] Bem has just announced their Speaker Trio – although I would like to venture and take a guess that this naming convention was inspired by Thor’s the Warriors Three. Well, just what kind of audio firepower can we expect to find from the Speaker Trio? For starters, we are looking at three speakers (obviously, hence the name) that are touted to deliver exceptional, crystal clear sound to multiple rooms without the hassle of wires.

Ah, wires, even in the year 2013, we still cannot escape the fact that it is nigh impossible to live a true, blue, wireless lifestyle. Not until someone comes up with a method to send electricity surging throughout the home or office wirelessly, knowing just which device to target and how much juice it needs. Well, the Speaker Trio will boast a range of up to 120 feet, and it can be controlled by an iPhone, smartphone or other Bluetooth device. Choose from black or white shades at $299.99 a pop.
