Bioshock Infinite Motorized Patriot Action Figure: Columbia! F-Yeah!

We saw an unofficial LEGO version of the Motorized Patriot a couple of weeks ago. But if you wouldn’t mind spending a little cash for something more detailed, check out NECA’s officially licensed action figure of the fearsome Heavy Hitter.

The action figure stands 9″ tall and comes with two tattered flags of Columbia, two interchangeable heads and a gatling gun.

The gun’s barrels move if you turn its crank, and the flags fit in the back of the action figure, just like its virtual counterpart.

For the glory of Columbia, order the action figure from ThinkGeek for $30 (USD).

LEGO Bioshock Infinite Motorized Patriot: Comstock’s Brick Men

This LEGO model of the Motorized Patriot from Bioshock Infinite is a testament to the technical prowess and power of Carl Merriam. He made it as part of his Iron Builder battle with Pepa Quin, who if I remember correctly is another famous and talented LEGO enthusiast.

BioShock Infinite DLC Rolls Out Today

BioShock Infinite DLC Rolls Out TodayBioShock Infinite, a game that was released on the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC earlier this year, has broken new ground in the world of gaming then, but there is more to the game than that as two different sets of downloadable content has also been announced to inject new life into BioShock Infinite. The first one, known as Clash in the Clouds has been made available to the masses today. Clash in the Clouds happens to be a rather challenging, battle arena-style event that has been modeled after the game’s tough 1999 mode, where you are required to dispatch of your enemies under selected conditions, where the cash that you obtain after achieving such objectives can be used to further unlock more bonuses that range from audio files to concept art.

Levine shared, “So I thought, maybe we can do something where we give the player the opportunity to just play with the full toolset, and all of the powers and upgrades and everything, and create far more challenging gameplay for them. So with that in mind, we gathered up the people really specialized in combat on Infinite and essentially told them the gloves were off, you guys can make whatever you want.”

As for the second DLC, it will take place in the city of Rapture and comprises of a two-part outing that will be called “Burial at Sea.”

Custom PlayStation 3s for Sony’s Friends: It Only Does Sweet Casemods

The very talented case modder Javier Riquelme customized several PlayStation 3 consoles for Sony, who in turn gave them as gifts to its partner developers and publishers. With the exception of what seems to be Javier’s trademark flourish, each console looks radically different and suited to its theme. This dude is for real.

As I said, each casemod is unique; if someone told me that the Borderlands-themed PS3 was made by someone from Gearbox Software while the Metal Gear Rising one was made by a cyborg ninja from Kojima’s lair I would have believed that. But Javier does like adding thick letters with LEDs that contrast nicely with the rest of the sweet art on the surface of the console.

playstation 3 casemod 6 grand theft auto v by jriquelme 300x250
playstation 3 casemod 7 assassins creed 3 by jriquelme 300x250

All of these look awesome, but I want to shake Javier’s hand just for the Assassin’s Creed casemod. I don’t even like that franchise and I want the console. You can see more shots of Javier’s work on his Imgur gallery, on his Twitter page and on his Facebook page.

Bioshock Infinite Bird/Cage Necklaces: Choose Your Path (on Etsy)

The bird and cage necklaces in Bioshock Infinite are one of the “choices” offered in the critically acclaimed game. In that world, Elizabeth asks you to choose which necklace she should get. But in this world, you don’t have to choose, because you can buy both of these fan made replicas. You don’t even have to buy either of them.

Of course, you won’t know how not owning either or both of these necklaces will affect your game’s ending. Compounding matters is the fact that Etsy seller League of Shadows has three different bronze outlines for the pendants. And that the pendants are also available as brooches. Brooches be crazy.

You know what they say – there’s always a lighthouse, there’s always a man, there’s always a city. Not that I know why they say that; I haven’t played the game yet. What I do know is that you can buy the necklaces and brooches from League of Shadows for $13 (USD) each.

BioShock Infinite Player Asks For Refund After Viewing Religiously Offensive Scene

BioShock Infinite Player Asks For Refund After Viewing Religiously Offensive Scene

BioShock Infinite was released three weeks ago with many players completely surprised by not only its story, but also at its ending. We won’t get into its story, but there is one moment in the game that was so disturbing for a player, he demanded a refund.

[Warning: Slight spoilers ahead which won’t ruin the game’s story, but it does share an early moment of the game which is necessary to enter Columbia.]

The portion of the game Breen Malmberg found offensive wasn’t one of violence, debauchery or the mistreatment of the citizens of Columbia. Instead, it’s a scene that occurs early on in the game when you first arrive to Columbia. The scene involves Booker being required to become baptized in order to enter the floating city of Columbia, which Malmberg, who is a devout Christian, found so offensive he couldn’t continue playing the game from that moment on.

Malmberg requested to be refunded for his purchase from Valve, to which the company complied with his request. He wrote the following to Valve in regards to the offense he experienced:

I cannot play it because at the very beginning of the game there is a section of the game that is so offensive to my religious beliefs that I cannot proceed with it any further. I did not know this section of the game was there and had no way of knowing it was there before-hand as it was not shown in any trailers, previews, screenshots or other marketing material.

Have you played BioShock Infinite and have felt offended by what goes on in the game? Do you feel Malmberg should have received a refund for being offended, and if so, should that mean anyone offended with the game should try to get a refund? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.
