Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Next DLC ‘Uprising’ Releasing On April 16 [Rumor]

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Next DLC Uprising Releasing On April 16 [Rumor]

The release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2′s Revolution Map Pack DLC brought a number of additional multiplayer maps, a new co-op map, new game mode called Turned and, for the first time in the franchise’s history, a new downloadable weapon. But as many Call of Duty fans expected, the next piece of DLC for Black Ops 2 seems to be right around the corner according to recently leaked promotional material.

The leaked promotional material outs the name of the DLC pack, known as “Uprising,” and will feature four new multiplayer maps called Vertigo, Encore, Studio and Magma, as well as something called “Mob of the Dead,” which we assume is a new co-op level. The Uprising map pack is expected to be released on April 16, which if it turns out to be true, means we’ll probably be hearing from Activision in regards to the new DLC next week. For now, just keep enjoying the Revolution Map Pack until Activision announces Uprising, although we’re pretty sure if you really enjoy playing Black Ops 2, you’ve probably already exhausted their first piece of DLC by now.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 Revolution DLC Is Now Available

For those of you who are avid fans of the Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 title on the PS3 as well as Windows-powered computer, here is a snippet of good news that should get you drooling all over. Access to the title’s first ever DLC Map Pack, known as Revolution, is now open to owners of the game who play on either the PS3 or the PC. Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 Revolution is said to offer an unparalleled amount of variety as well as content for all types of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 players, where among them include a quartet of all-new multiplayer maps that will see you visit different locations around the globe.

Hydro is located in Pakistan, where the hydro-electric plant will feature a lethal spillway which floods with very little warning, while Grind will see you thrown into a skate park in Venice Beach (where skateboarding began), sporting quarter-pipes and curved surfaces that provide ample cover. Want to bring temperatures down a little notch? Downhill will pit you in a ski resort in the French Alps, where there is a moving gondola system that offer both cover and the ability to crush you (or your opponents) to death. Last but not least, Mirage will place you in the unforgiving Gobi Desert, albeit in the midst of a sandstorm ravaged luxury resort.

New Call Of Duty Game Confirmed For 2013 That Will Raise The Bar Higher

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 received its long-awaited Revolution Map Pack over a week ago, and even Treyarch is still hard at work on additional content for its latest Call of Duty title, that doesn’t mean Activision isn’t planning for the next game in the series.

Just as we should expect the sun to rise and set every day, we should also expect a new Call of Duty game to be released with nearly as much frequency. And that’s exactly what Activision announced recently during its post-earnings call. (more…)

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Revolution Map Pack Now Available On Xbox 360

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 players have had a rather long month considering the new Revolution Map Pack was announced 21 days ago, although we’re sure you were keeping count of that on your own. It looks like your patience and nightly multiplayer matches has lead you to today’s official release of the Revolution Map Pack, that is, as long as your an Xbox 360 Black Ops 2 player.

Xbox 360 Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 players can now pick up the Revolution Map Pack for 1200 Microsoft Points, although if you purchased a Black Ops 2 DLC Season Pass, you’ll be able to pick up the Revolution Map Pack without paying anything extra. PC, PlayStation 3 and Wii U Black Ops 2 players will have to wait for their turn with the Revolution Map Pack as neither Trayarch nor Activision have announced when the new pack will be available outside of the Xbox 360.

The Revolution Map Pack contains four new multiplayer maps, a new co-op map and an all-new Zombies game mode called “Turned,” which allows players to play as zombies. And for the first time in a Call of Duty game, a new weapon called the Peacekeeper will also be made available in the map pack.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Revolution Map Pack Announced; Available Starting Jan. 29

We caught a glimpse of a leaked photo that teased a major upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 DLC Pack over a week ago, and it looks like Treyarch and Activision are ready to spill their guts about the Revolution DLC pack.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Revolution DLC pack will come with four multiplayer maps: Downhill, Grind, Hydro and Mirage. A new co-op map called Die Rise will also be made available for Black Ops 2′s Zombies mode, with an all-new Zombies game mode called Turned, which allows you to play as zombies. A new weapon will also be available called the Peacekeeper, which Treyarch makes note, is the first they’ve released a weapon in a DLC pack.

Revolution will be made available on Xbox Live on January 29, with releases for other platforms following, for $14.99, unless, of course, you are a subscriber to Call of Duty Elite, then you’re admission to the Revolution DLC pack has already been paid for. Until Revolution is available for you to download, be sure to check out the newly-released trailer that highlights everything we just described above. But, you know, in video form.

Possible Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Major DLC Pack Leaked In Photo

black ops 2 DLC Possible Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Major DLC Pack Leaked In PhotoAre you looking forward to the first DLC map pack for Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2? If you are then you might be interested to learn that thanks to an alleged leak on the forums, the photo above was spotted which had some speculating that this could be Black Ops 2’s first major DLC pack. The post has since been deleted, suggesting that perhaps the post was indeed real and that Activision was not quite ready to share that information with the public just yet. However based on what we can see, this DLC should introduce four new maps – Hydro, Grind, Downhill and Mirage, a new SMG weapon called Peacekeeper and one zombies map called Die Rise. Word on the street has it that this DLC pack should be released for Xbox 360 owners come 29th of January 2013. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for now so we suggest you not get your hopes up just yet, but be sure to check back with us closer to date where hopefully we will have more details to share with you guys.

Black Ops 2 PS3 Patched, System Lockups Are No More

For Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 players on the PS3 platform, you might be part of the unfortunate few who have experienced system freezes ever since the title launched not too long ago. Should you be one of those who are down and out on your luck, here is a wee bit of good news – it seems that Activision has rolled out a patch to tackle this particular issue specifically so that system lockups are a thing of the past. The downside to this bit of news is this – it seems that the fix only works for some, so if you are still unlucky and have your Sony PS3 hang or freeze whenever you play Black Ops 2, you will have to be a bit patient, as the company claims that they are still “doing everything [it] can to get to the bottom of it as quickly as possible”. If you are curious in downloading the patch, all you need to do is to boot the game and try to play online, and you will be led to the correct display.

Black Ops 2 Gamers Asked To Install Mass Effect 2?

So you have been having the time of your life ever since Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 was released, but there are some segments of gamers who complained of a rather weird issue whenever they make an attempt to install the second disc on a PC. Upon inserting the second disc, one will be prompted to install Mass Effect 2 instead, and so far, more than one person has stepped forward to verify that this is true, thanks to different posts that mentioned the same on the official Steam forums, Reddit, and Call of Duty forums. BioWare is aware of this “discovery”, and they did post an official response on their blog, where they made light of this mix-up by regarding it as “an omen” to point players to Mass Effect instead of Call of Duty.

Of course, BioWare is also serious about keeping customers happy, and they have pledged to give away their upcoming Mass Effect trilogy to the first 50 people who are able to send in legitimate photographic evidence of their swapped disc to community@bioware.com. This deal applies only to those gaming on the PC of course, since the issue affects only PC versions of Black Ops 2. Were you one of those affected?

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 street date possibly broken in Europe?

As you guys know by now, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be released on the 13th of November, although word on the street is that the street date has already been broken thanks to one particular retailer in Slovakia, Bazo.sk (via CVG). The product listing has since been deleted but thanks to photos that have been grabbed before it was taken down, it certainly looks the case. As you can see in the image above, what we are looking at is the box art for the Hardened Edition of the game. However as the folks at VG247 have noted, since there are no photos of the actual disc, there is a chance that these boxes are merely promotional materials used to display on shelves for customers to look at,  rather than the actual game itself, although the deleting of the listing is rather suspicious. In any case at the very least we have a glimpse at how the Hardened Edition will look like. Either way we only have a couple of weeks to go before the official release, so stay tuned for more updates!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 live action trailer released

We’re sure that many gamers are probably aware that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be launching on the 13th of November 2012, and perhaps to whet the appetite of gamers out there, or perhaps to amp up the excitement and anticipation, a new live action trailer for the game has been released. It combines live action acting from real life actors and actresses, while giving us a glimpse at some gameplay footage which to be honest looks pretty chaotic – promising, but chaotic, which we’re sure is one of the reasons why some gamers love the Call of Duty franchise. The live action trailer was directed by Guy Ritchie, the same director behind the two Sherlock Holmes movies which starred Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law. In any case if you’ve got a minute to spare, check the trailer out in the video above.
