Blackberry 10 Z10 Retail Box Caught On Camera

z10 retail box Blackberry 10 Z10 Retail Box Caught On CameraIn a few hours, RIM will be officially taking the wraps off Blackberry 10 and hopefully share additional details about the operating system, accompanying hardware, apps, availability dates and maybe even pricing, but until then we guess we will just have to contend with leaked images and whatnot. Now if you were planning on picking up a Blackberry 10 Z10 device for yourself, a photo spotted in the Crackberry forums has revealed what appears to be the retail box for the Z10 which appears to be a typical Blackberry-styled packaging except with a colorful Z10 wording on the front. It is unclear as to what sort of accessories RIM will be including in the box i.e. earphones, charger, casing (probably not) and etc., but given that the announcement is only hours away, hopefully more will be revealed then. It is also interesting to note that there is no carrier branding on the box either suggesting that this box could be an off contract device – either that or the carrier sleeve for the box was not shown on purpose.

BlackBerry 10 Z10 Available For Online Orders In U.K. Starting Tomorrow

blackberry 10 z10 available uk BlackBerry 10 Z10 Available For Online Orders In U.K. Starting TomorrowTomorrow will be make or break for RIM as they’ll be showcasing BlackBerry 10 to the world and releasing some new BlackBerry 10 devices, which we already assume one of them will be the BlackBerry 10 Z10. Considering how many leaks have come out in regards to BlackBerry 10, we’re surprised we have yet to hear when exactly it will be available for retail. It looks as though the final piece to the BlackBerry 10 puzzle has fallen into place as we now know when it’ll be made available.

According to a Vodafone UK employee who sent an internal communication to The Verge, it looks as though we can expect for the BlackBerry 10 Z10 to be made available to order online starting tomorrow at 5PM local time in the U.K. Phones will be in-stock and ready to pick up at all Vodafone store locations starting on January 31.

So – we should now expect for BlackBerry 10 devices to officially launch in the U.K. starting Thursday, but what does that mean for the U.S.? Unfortunately, we aren’t completely sure of that at this point, although we’re hoping potential BlackBerry 10 customers will be able to get their hands on RIM’s new phones some time this week as well.

Unsurprisingly they appear to have been designed along the lines of older Blackberry cases with a leather finish, a holster-styled design and presumably a magnet in it which will activate/deactivate the device’s display when taken in or out of the case. We’re not sure how much they will cost you, but we expect that they will be somewhat affordable. So, has anyone already decided which case they will be getting? The one in red looks particularly striking! While we’re sure the price of the device might vary from carrier to carrier when bought on contract, for those who would rather not be tied down, the folks at Engadget have managed to get their hands on what looks like an inventory screenshot belonging to UK retailer, Carphone Warehouse where they have listed the Z10 for £480 off contract. What this means is that when converted, those living in the US can expect to pay around $760 for the handset which sounds about a right for a high-end flagship handset. Of course the price might be different when it arrives stateside, but since RIM has yet to reveal the official pricing, this is what we will be working with for now. What say you, is $760 too steep a price to pay for RIM’s brand new Blackberry 10 handset?

blackberry z101 Blackberry 10 Z10 Press Rendering Leaked OnlineThe Blackberry 10 Z10 has to be one of the worst kept secrets in smartphone history, but then again it could be a ploy by RIM to help generate excitement and anticipation, and it is safe to say that they have done a good job doing just that! Blackberry 10 Z10 Caught On Video Alongside iPhone 5

Apple’s Siri feature has been getting quite a lot of flak from its users, although in all fairness Siri is still considered to be in “beta”. That being said, RIM is expected to include a voice assistant-like feature in Blackberry 10 and if you’re curious as to how well it handles, you might be interested in checking out the video above. Basically the video above shows RIM’s Blackberry 10 voice assistant feature go up against Siri on the iPhone 5. The video also showcases some of the hardware differences between the iPhone 5 and the Blackberry 10 Z10 device. With RIM announcing Blackberry 10 on the 30th of January and with all the leaks we’ve seen and heard so far, we expect that there will be nothing left to surprise us once the announcement has been made, but for those who can’t wait, perhaps this video will be able to tide you over until then.

Blackberry 10 Z10 Sample Photos Spotted On Flickr And Picasa

8376748587 52f02ea7bd z Blackberry 10 Z10 Sample Photos Spotted On Flickr And PicasaThanks to the folks @evleaks, they have managed to get their hands on an alleged sample photo taken by the Blackberry 10 Z10’s camera. These photos were supposedly uploaded onto Flickr but it seems that the Flickr account has since been deactivated. In any case with @evleaks’ reputation for leaking the goods ahead of time, it is safe to assume that what we are looking at is the genuine article. However if you’re looking for more sample camera photos, the folks at Crackberry have also found an image uploaded onto Picasa which according to the EXIF data has been taken by the Blackberry 10 Z10 device.

Previously Blackberry phones weren’t exactly known for their amazing camera features. When it came to smartphones with amazing cameras, many people think of phones like the iPhone 5, the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Nokia Lumia 920, although based on the sample photos we’ve seen so far, it looks like the camera on the Blackberry 10 Z10 has come a long way. In any case RIM will be officially launching Blackberry 10 on the 30th of January, so be sure to check back with us then for the details!

Blackberry 10 Z10 “Lisbon” Could Arrive For T-Mobile 27 March

Screen Shot 2013 01 11 at 2.15.51 PMwtmk 660x365 602x332 Blackberry 10 Z10 Lisbon Could Arrive For T Mobile 27 MarchWe know that T-Mobile has expressed their support of RIM’s Blackberry 10 platform and products. While that is good news for Blackberry fans on T-Mobile’s network, the question we have to ask is when will T-Mobile actually launch a Blackberry 10 device? Thanks to the folks at TmoNews who managed to get their hands on a leaked screenshot of T-Mobile’s roadmap (alleged), it would seem that the Blackberry 10 Z1 will be released on T-Mobile’s network come 27th of March. RIM has provided a rough timeframe of the Blackberry 10 devices launch which is set for Q1 of 2013, although back in 2012, RIM’s COO said that Blackberry 10 devices will be made available 30 days after launch, so the 27th of March date seems to be kind of late. However given that US carriers tend to be a bit slow when it comes to pushing out updates amongst other things, we guess this isn’t surprising. Presumably this would mean that the Z10 will be available for purchase unlocked although we guess you’d still need to get a Blackberry plan with your carrier if you wish to use it. Anyway hopefully more information about the Z10’s launch and its dates will be provided shortly, so be sure to check back with us then for the details.

Dummy Blackberry 10 Z10 Units With Verizon Branding Spotted Online

T2H6iYXfpbXXXXXXXX 304466611 Dummy Blackberry 10 Z10 Units With Verizon Branding Spotted OnlineAbout a week ago photos of the Blackberry 10 Z10 was spotted with Verizon’s branding on it, suggesting that the Z10 could be making an appearance on Verizon’s network. Now more photos of the device have been spotted on Chinese marketplace, Taobao, although it should be noted that these are dummy units meaning that they will be used to put the phone on display versus the actual device. Dummy units are pretty common and can be spotted in retailers all around the world, giving customers a brief idea of what to expect before the actual unit is given to them to test out, or in some cases it is used as a placeholder for customers to make pre-orders. In any case it looks like these dummy units come with Verizon’s branding as well, and if you like you can actually purchase the dummy unit for yourself via Taobao for $50 although in all honesty your money could be better spent on something else. RIM will be launching the Blackberry 10 platform come 30th of January, and hopefully the announcement of its accompanying devices and supported carriers will be announced as well, but for now it looks like Verizon will be one of them.

Blackberry 10 Z10′s Parts Shown Off In Video

It’s early January and what this means is that in a few weeks, RIM is expected to launch its Blackberry 10 operating system and its accompanying devices shortly after, one of them being the full touchscreen phone, the Z10. While we’re sure that websites such as iFixit will most likely be getting their hands on the Z10 in a teardown to discover how repairable the Z10 is, the folks at ETradeSupply have already uploaded a video in which they display some of the Z10’s innards, giving us an idea of what makes the smartphone tick. In all honesty there’s really nothing new in this video that we didn’t already know, but we guess it just goes to confirm that this is indeed the design of the Z10 for those who stubbornly refused to believe the leaks and such. In any case if you’re a fan of teardowns, you might be interested in spending the new few minutes checking out ETradeSupply’s video above of the Blackberry 10 Z10’s parts.
