BlackBerry Z10 Appears On Verizon

Z10 BlackBerry Z10 Appears On VerizonTick tock. The clock is ticking until January 30th. It’s the day, as we know, that BlackBerry 10 will be launched. Adding to the leaks, the reputable surreptitious informant on Twitter that is EvLeaks is posting what appears to be a leaked screenshot of the long-rumored BlackBerry Z10 on Verizon’s page. We tried to search for the actual Verizon landing page, but to no avail. Anyway, this somewhat confirms two things. (more…)

BlackBerry 10 camera app flaunts filters, transformation tools video

What’s better than a non-functional prototype? One that actually works, of course. The Gadget Masters have apparently been spending time with a pre-production version of RIM’s upcoming Z10 smartphone, and plundered its camera app in the process. The ensuing video (after the break) didn’t reveal any new features, but carries the novelty of actually manipulating an image with the app’s tools. After snapping a picture of the carpet (daring!), our host leads us through a few filters, mentioning the app’s ability to crop and transform images. It’s not groundbreaking, but it’s good to see a fully functional version of the app. After all, Thorsten Heins’ big event is just around the corner.

Leaked BlackBerry Z10 Video By German Website Leaves Nothing To The Imagination

We’re only 15 days away from RIM’s big media event where they plan to make a number of BlackBerry 10 announcements, although with the recent leaks of multiple handsets and first looks into the BlackBerry 10 OS, we can’t imagine there being anything else up RIM’s sleeve at this point. That is, besides actually showing off the new handsets and the OS together on film, which is exactly what another leaked video is doing.

A German website called TelekomPresse published a video recently that not only shows the BlackBerry Z10 in a pretty extensive hardware overview, but it also shows what the BlackBerry 10 OS is capable of on the device.

This isn’t exactly new ground as we’ve caught multiple glimpses at the BlackBerry 10 OS, but this is the first time one of the new handsets running the OS have been caught in the wild. If you absolutely can’t wait until January 30 when RIM makes their official announcement, this new video should hold you over for the next 15 days.

We’ve had an early look at the BlackBerry Z10 already — both from a leak of RIM marketing materials and from footage allegedly showing the handset’s components — but Austrian publication Telekom-Presse can lay claim to the first hands-on video with the phone. The seven-and-a-half-minute clip shows off the hardware in great detail — including what looks to be a removable plastic cover on the backing — and the narrator lists specs, including a 4.2-inch HD display, a dual-core 1.5GHz ARM Cortex A9 processor and 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. According to the video, the Z10 weighs about 125 grams (4.4 ounces). Of course, the hands-on also demos the BB10 operating system, and it looks to run quite smoothly as the user carries out such gestures as swiping to reveal the BlackBerry Hub. We’ll get an even better look at the Z10 when it becomes official, but for now jump past the break for a look at the video (natürlich auf Deutsch).

BlackBerry Z10 With Verizon Livery Spotted

z10 branding BlackBerry Z10 With Verizon Livery SpottedIt will be at the end of this month in New York City when we will finally see what could very well be the last throw of RIM’s dice where their BlackBerry future is concerned with the unveiling of BlackBerry 10. Well, what kind of hardware could we look forward to? The BlackBerry Z10 is certainly one of them, in addition to the BlackBerry X10 that comes with a QWERTY keyboard. Well, the BlackBerry Z10 has been spotted with the Verizon logo at the top of the device, as you can see in the image above, which is very different from the RIM-only branded hardware that we have seen in leaked images of the past.

As for the other Z10 that you see above, it is said to be made available for AT&T in the US, but it could be the case where the badging is not quite ready for prime time viewing, or perhaps the AT&T logo is located right at the back, although we would put our smart money on the former. Would you be one of those who are willing to throw your weight and money behind the BlackBerry 10 ecosystem?
