BLU Products To Rely On Stock Android From Now On

BLU Products To Rely On Stock Android From Now OnIf you are out in the market looking for a new Android-powered smartphone, you would most probably fall back on the tried and tested such as the likes of Samsung, Sony, LG, and HTC of course, but would you want to throw your lot behind a company known as BLU Products? Sure, they have not really managed to take the world by storm with their previous releases, but this does not mean they have just keeled over and clocked out from the smartphone game permanently. In fact, they are thinking of changing the way they operate, by offering the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for their Vivo 4.3 device, and will also ensure that every new device from their stable will come with stock Android for that sense of uniformity.

This is a break from the trend that seems to lean more towards a customized user experience, and whether BLU Products will be able to succeed with this market direction, only time will be able to tell, and of course, a whole lot of it hinges on whether the general populace will “bite” into this shift. The BLU Products Vivo 4.3 will also receive a minor hardware update in the form of new colors, namely pink, yellow and white, for $229 a pop.

Ah well, different strokes for different folks. What can we say about the new Quattro Series of smartphone devices? All of them will be powered by an NVIDIA Tegra 3 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, which comes with a fifth battery saver core. Expect the Quattro Series to deliver flagship smartphone performance alongside console-quality gaming, amazing graphics, speedy applications and fast multitasking capabilities.

Unfortunately, you will not find the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system accompany the new range of Quattro smartphones, but rather, you will be “stuck” with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Fret not though, as BLU Products has released word that they do plan to offer an upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in due time. All the new Quattro Series devices will feature quad-band GSM and penta-band 21Mbps HSPA+, including 1700MHz AWS for the US.

First of all, the Quattro 4.5 HD

Other than that, there is an 8-megapixel camera featuring an f/2.4 large aperture lens, HD video recording capability, 16GB of internal memory, and 1GB RAM.

As for the Quattro 4.5 , it will offer plenty of bang for your buck with a 4.5-inch qHD display, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera, HD video recording capability, 4GB of internal memory, and 1GB RAM.

Last but not least, the Quattro 5.7 HD
will deliver phablet-class performance with its 5.7 inch, 1280 x 720 HD display, an 8-megapixel shooter with HD video recording capability, 4GB of internal memory, and 1GB RAM.

The Quattro 4.5 HD, Quattro 4.5, and Quattro 5.7 HD will retail for $349.99, $249.99, and $299.99 in the US from this month onwards.

BLU Products Unveil Vivo 4.65 Android Smartphone

blu BLU Products Unveil Vivo 4.65 Android SmartphoneIs BLU Products a company that you’ve heard of? If you haven’t we can’t say we blame you, but if you’re in the market for an affordable Android smartphone unlocked and free from carriers, then you might be interested in the company’s Vivo 4.65 smartphone which will be priced at $300 and should be available for purchase come January 2013. So what can you expect for $300? Surprisingly its specs aren’t too shabby and they should be more than adequate at getting the job done, especially for the user shopping on a budget or for a parent looking for a cheap smartphone for their kids.

Sporting a 1.2GHz A9 dual-core processor, the Vivo 4.65 will feature, well, a 4.65” HD Super AMOLED display. It will ship with 1GB of RAM and an 8MP rear-facing camera and will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich preinstalled along with support for dual SIM. Not exactly the most mind-blowing specs, but they aren’t the worst either and like we said earlier, we have no doubt that it should be able to get the job done.

BLU Vivo 4.65 HD Unlocked Android 4 Smartphone Announced

If you’re soon to be in the market for a new smartphone and you’re looking for an unlocked device that you won’t have to stick with a contract for, BLU Products’ Vivo 4.65 HD might be perfect for you.

    blu vivo 465 hd smartphone

This smartphone has a large 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display promising HD resolution. The processor inside the device is a dual core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9 and the smartphone supports 3G/HSPA connectivity. The phone also features 1 GB of integrated RAM. Other hardware features include an eight-megapixel autofocus camera that can record HD resolution video. The device will ship with the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. The smartphone also supports dual SIM cards allowing both to be active and receive calls at the same time.

The unlocked Blu Vivo 4.65 HD smartphone will be available in major US retailers in January 2013 at a price of $299.99(USD). While it definitely doesn’t have top-of-the-line specs, it sounds like a good deal if you want to avoid a phone contract.

BLU Products announces VIVO 4.65 HD smartphone

When it comes to naming your product, hitting the nail on the head can be quite tricky. You will need something that is short and sweet, and yet gets the message across so that ordinary folks would know what you are referring to without having to pause and think. Giving smartphones names could be quite a fun affair, where you have Samsung with their Galaxy range, HTC with different kinds of “feelings” involved (Desire, Sensation, et al), Sony with their trademark Xperia line, the list goes on. How about BLU Products? We also haven’t heard of them, but this could by the very reason why they decided to go for the jugular by calling their latest smartphone as the VIVO 4.65 HD. You know for sure this puppy will come with a 4.65” display, and it will be the better version of the VIVO 4.3 that rolled out earlier this year.

Needless to say, whenever a new model hits the market, one can expect marked improvements, and for the VIVO 4.65 HD, you will be able to find a more generously sized display at 4.65″ compared to 4.3″ from the previous model, in addition to a better display resolution thanks to its HD Super AMOLED screen, not to mention having a bump in the RAM department to touch the 1GB mark.

The VIVO 4.65 HD’s overall design will continue from where its predecessor left off, that is, you will not be able to find any physical hardware buttons on the front so that your eyes are met with a seamless elegant design, and the VIVO 4.65 HD will comfortably occupy the mid-range smartphone market thanks to its dual-core MediaTek MT6577 1.2 GHz Cortex A9 processor, accompanied by 3G/HSPA connectivity, powered by the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, while carrying an 8-megapixel autofocus camera at the back that does HD video recording and playback.

Oh, there is also dual SIM capability that lets you live with two lines simultaneously, so that both SIMs remain active, and you can switch from one line to the other seamlessly without having to disable one of them. Expect the unlocked VIVO 4.65 HD to retail for $300 a pop when it arrives on US shores in January next year.

BLU Products intros Vivo 43, says it's 'world's first' dualSIM smartphone with Super AMOLED Plus

It feels like it was only yesterday that BLU was keeping us slightly occupied with its Studio 5.3 and TouchBook 7.3 devices, which, as you may or may not know, left us with somewhat of a bittersweet taste in our mouths. Still, the past is the past, and now the company’s back for more with the recent revelation of its Vivo 4.3 handset; one the company’s loudly dubbing as the “world’s first dual-SIM smartphone with Super AMOLED Plus.” Regardless of any global, self-induced titles, the 4.3-inch Vivo appears to offer some interesting features of its own, including that aforementioned Super AMOLED Plus screen, a 1GHz, dual-core Cortex A9 CPU, dual-SIM capabilities and a tweaked flavor of Android 4.0. What’s best, however, is BLU plans on selling the Vivo 4.3 unlocked in the US next month for $250, while additional availability is “soon to follow” through Latin America and some parts of Asia.
