Cambridge Audio announces Minx Go

When it comes to portable speakers, I guess you can say that this particular segment of the market has grown tremendously over the years simply because of a greater degree of mobile device adoption among the masses, not to mention better battery technology which naturally results in superior battery life, in addition to the advancement and proliferation of Bluetooth capability embedded in just about every modern day mobile device like smartphones and tablets. Having said that, the portable wireless speakers of today are what boomboxes were to a previous, bygone era, and Cambridge Audio intends to usher in a new reign of such portable wireless speakers by announcing the availability of the Minx Go.

The Minx Go is a high performance, portable Bluetooth speaker that is capable of delivering deeply expansive, crystal clear audio. Similar to other Cambridge Audio product, the Minx Go will carry the company’s design DNA thanks to their design team who are based in London. The Minx Go will come acoustically loaded with an array of five premium quality speakers as well as the latest Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, ensuring that your ears will always be treated to massive power at all times, without taking up too much space no matter where you are. What would most probably be the most impressive feat of the Minx Go would be the amount of detailed bass that it is capable of pumping out, and this is made possible thanks to the Bass Radiator that has been neatly integrated into the rear panel.

Just how long can the Minx Go last? Well, it boasts a battery life of up to 18 hours, which is lengthy enough for an entire day out, even stretching into the wee hours of the night. From a flat battery, it takes just a couple of hours to juice up fully, and while it is being recharged, it will even allow you to charge a tablet or phone thanks to the integrated USB charging port. You will be able to choose from high gloss black or white colors for the $149 Minx Go.

Phoenix Portable Bluetooth Speaker

If there is one aspect of portable speakers which should always be there, then size would be it. After all, if it is too large or bulky to tote around, surely it is not considered to be “portable” enough, don’t you think so? Firebox has something up their sleeves with the £59.99 Phoenix Portable Bluetooth Speaker, and it is hoped that you do not judge the device by its size. After all, Firebox claims the Phoenix Portable Bluetooth Speaker to offer a whole lot more bang for your hard earned buck, where it delivers incredibly loud audio despite coming in a small form factor.

Do not be fooled by its exterior at first glance, where it sports tight curves and a shapely figure, this is still one perky little portable Bluetooth speaker. Since it operates using Bluetooth connectivity, there are no cables required to have it pumping out your favorite audio via its pipes, giving you more than an adequate amount of space to dance around the room. Needless to say, it works best with Bluetooth compatible devices within a 20 meter radius, and will come in blue and black shades, depending on your choice.

Satechi BT Touch Speaker

Bluetooth enabled speakers are dime a dozen, and these seem to proliferate just about anywhere and every accessory shop that you go to. Having said that, it would also mean it is more challenging to select the right kind of Bluetooth enabled speakers, considering the vast choice that there is available to the average consumer. This calls for a more discerning eye, and with the Satechi BT Touch Speaker, you know that your ears will be treated to quality sounds without having to break the bank.

The Satechi BT Touch Speaker would come across as a compact and portable Bluetooth speaker which has been touted to be ideal for both office and travel use. It is capable of delivering powerful, dynamic sound, despite its relatively small size, of course. This is yet further proof of not judging a book by its cover, or in this case, the quality of audio by the speaker’s size. This small yet mighty Satechi BT Touch Speaker is said to have the ability to fill a room with crystal clear audio thanks to its 2.5 X 2 watt dual-channel speaker system. The presence of a built-in microphone also enables the speaker to double up as a hands-free calling device which will play nice with just about any smartphone these days, as long as they support Bluetooth connectivity, that is.

Good design principles are not compromised or forgotten either with the Satechi BT Touch Speaker, where it sports a glossy, sleek black look that ought to find a place in any office aesthetic. The speaker itself will boast of modern, blue LED touch buttons which are able to control audio playback, volume and answer calls. Not only that, the extra features that were thrown into the mix include a rechargeable lithium ion battery as well as a built-in 3.5mm jack so that it can handle legacy, non-Bluetooth enabled devices. Right now, the Satechi BT Touch Speaker is going for an introductory price of $49.99 a pop.
