Boba Fett Mixer Stirs up Its Bounty

When it comes to kitchen appliances, women want colors that match their decor. Men want what they usually want. Something cool that looks nothing like what women want. Preferably, their kitchen appliances should look like Boba Fett. That’s why Tommyfilth talked his wife into buying a broken old Kitchenaid for Christmas. It would soon get a super nice makeover.

Soon he refurbished it into this Boba Fett Mixer. It’s got some excellent battle-worn armor and it mixes batter like there was a bounty on baked goods. I’m sure they have already made their share of Star Wars cookies and cakes with this thing.

Okay Disney, your move – let’s see some more officially licensed Star Wars appliances now.

Boba Fett and Han Solo to Be the Focus of the Two Standalone Star Wars Films

I mentioned yesterday that rumors were swirling about what Star Wars character the first of the standalone feature films from Disney would focus on. Early rumors said Yoda would be the subject of one of the films. The characters of the films will cover have now been confirmed, and Yoda isn’t the subject – at least not of the first two films.

The two initial standalone films will reportedly focus on Han Solo and Boba Fett separately. Those are two of my favorite characters from the franchise while Yoda is one of my least favorite so this is very good news for me. A lot of details on the films remain unannounced. The Han Solo film is rumored to take place between two existing movies in the franchise.

The Han Solo film would reportedly take place between the Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope movies. The Boba Fett film is rumored to take place either between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back or between Empire and Return of the Jedi. Either time period would allow for the return of fan favorite characters including Darth Vader and Jabba the Hutt.

I wonder how the part of Han Solo will be cast since Harrison Ford is clearly too old to play a young Han. I’m guessing they won’t go with Sean Patrick Flannery again.

Iron Bounty Hunter: Is He Tony Fett or Boba Stark?

This Iron Man/Boba Fett sculpture is awesome. Matthew J. Hideousboi painted after seeing a Boba Fett helmet painted as Iron Man for the As You Wish Helmet Project, a charity event that raised funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, by getting artists to make their own custom Boba Fett and Clone Trooper helmets. Personally, I think that Matthew’s version is better.

I would love to see this guy in a movie. Maybe now that Disney owns both Marvel and LucasFilm, we will someday.

[P.S. I had no idea the Stan Winston School of Character Arts even existed. If you dream about doing character design or special effects, you can become part of the whole process by subscribing to the school and getting step-by-step videos. Pretty soon you too will be making badass creatures and aliens for yourself.]

Boba Flake: Star Wars Laser-Cut Snowflake Ornaments

Do you have empty spaces on your tree that aren’t filled with geeky ornaments? You could cut out your own paper snowflakes, or you could fill up those empty spaces with these laser-cut, acrylic Star Wars snowflake ornaments.

They’re available in stormtrooperBoba Fett or Yoda designs. Each ornament measures 4-inches in diameter, is 1/4-inch thick, and is full of geeky holiday joy.

Yoda is available in green acrylic or oak plywood. Don’t worry, I’m sure these ornaments are made from wood that was not harvested from Endor. In other words, no Ewoks were harmed to make these. Or Wookiees for that matter.

You really can’t go wrong with these on your Christmas tree. Especially since they sell for just $5(USD) each over at Light Carving’s Etsy shop.

Sarlacc Pit Bundt Cake Devours Everything in Sight

Poor Boba Fett. He came to a pretty lame end by falling into the Sarlacc pit. His jetpack didn’t even help him. Well, if you love that classic Return of the Jedi scene, you can recreate it by making your very own Sarlacc Bundt cake.
sarlacc pit bundt cake

Jenny Landa’s sarlacc pit cake awesome because it is easy to make and looks realistic. This sarlacc is made from a split chocolate-covered stawberry, chocolate-gummy worms, and almonds. Just bake the cake, blend up some ginger snap cookies for the Tatooine sand, insert your almonds for teeth and put in your chocolate covered gummy worms for tentacles.

It looks delicious. Better to eat it than fall in and have it eat you.

Boba Fett Motorcycle is Perfect for Jumping Sarlacc Pits

Forget Fett’s Vette. Fett’s bike is much cooler. Imagine if Boba Fett had had a bike instead of Slave One. I’m not sure where he would have stored Han Solo in frozen in carbonite, but otherwise I would have loved to see that movie. Maybe he could have used a sidecar.

This awesome ride was built by Star Wars fan Tattoodle. It’s a Boba Fett-inspired BMW motorcycle, complete with matching helmet! Of course it has a Star Wars themed Garmin GPS unit on board too in order to track down bounty.

Lucasfilm really ought to team up with some motorcycle companies and offer up some cool rides like this. They would sell like crazy. After all, some of us geeks are actually tough enough to ride a motorcycle.

Stormtrooper and Boba Fett Toms: The Empire Walks Back

Now you can wear Stormtroopers on your feet with these custom, hand-painted Toms that are truly unique. As you probably already know, Toms are crazy comfortable, and having a pair that takes after an Imperial trooper is an added bonus.

That added bonus we’re talking about is currently available from Nadia and Jeannine Guadamuz’s shop on Etsy called MoosiesShoes. They’re a talented pair. So talented, in fact, that they can pretty much churn out customized Toms painted with your character of choice – from Boba Fett to that girl from Disney’s Tangled and the gang from The Emperor’s New Groove.

Each pair of customized, hand-painted Toms are available for $95(USD).

Star Wars Helmets Get Horny for a Good Cause

Check out this horned Boba Fett Samurai helmet. That’s frakkin’ awesome even if one of its horns was lost in battle. The As You Wish Helmet Project is a charity art event benefiting the Make A Wish Foundation and this is just one of over 40 helmets that you can bid on.

They are all re-imagined Boba Fett and Clone Trooper helmets. Some of the artists making these helmets include names like Kotobukiya, Weta Workshop, and Volpin Props. I know you know those names.

You can check out more helmets on the project’s Facebook page. If you like what you see and want to put in a bid on one, the helmet auction begins August 27 on eBay. Begun, these helmet wars have.
