All the logos you see around you? They’re eventually going to change some day. It might be because they get outdated or it might be because of a new CEO’s quirky taste or it might because the company has some vain hope to rebrand themselves as more modern or more friendly or more whatever it is to get you to buy more of their products. Just take a look at some logos of famous brands. Even those that still look the same have added some embossing or shading. More »
It’s funny how fondly we look back at classic ads—print, commercials, anything—compared to how we react to ads today. That Apple 1984 commercial? Perfection. Those old VW Bug print ads? Soooo cute! Comic Sans is so universally reviled on the Internet that it’s become hilarious when people actually try to use it. I wish I could be like those people who can look at Comic Sans and just see it as a happy font. I wish I could see the entire world in Comic Sans and love it. I wish every company’s logo was in Comic Sans. More »
In a hilarious court ruling, Apple got denied a trademark on its orange music icon (the one that’s on iOS devices) because trademark judges said consumers might confuse the logo with one owned by MySpace. Hah! More »
