Here we have a new line of DRAM-cached USB 3.0 portable HDDs from Buffalo, the HD-PGDU3. Coming in 500GB and 1TB capacities, these travel-friendly HDDs are equipped with a USB 3.0 connection interface, a 1GB of DDR3 DRAM cache (transfer rates up to 400MB/s), an LED battery level meter for monitoring the battery life and a built-in lithium-ion battery (to ensure that there’s no data loss when data is being juggled to and from the cache due to an abrupt disconnection). The HD-PGDU3 will hit the market from late July for 18,900 Yen / $186 (500GB model) and 25,700 Yen / $254 (1TB model), respectively. [Buffalo]

Buffalo has also unveiled their newest wireless LAN repeater, the WEX-300. Designed to extend the radio range of the wireless LAN into out-of-reach areas of the home, the WEX-300 supports for single-band WiFi access point (2.4GHz – 300Mbps), has a WPS button and four LAN ports on the back, and provides security through encryption using WPA2-PSK (AES), WPA-PSK (AES), WPA/WPA2 mixed PSK (AES) and WEP (128/64bit). Buffalo has also unveiled their latest Bluetooth 3.0 keyboard, the BSKBB24BK. Powered by a built-in lithium polymer battery, this travel-friendly keyboard features a 2.4GHz radio frequency (works up to 10 meters), 64 keys and is compatible with Bluetooth 3.0 enabled devices. Measuring W233mm x D125mm x H6mm and weighing 159g, the BSKBB24BK will start shipping from late April for 8,400 Yen (about $81). [Product Page]

Buffalo has introduced another one of its upcoming network-enabled HDD (NAS), the LS220D. Coming in four different storage capacities: 2TB, 4TB, 6TB and 8TB, the device is equipped with 1x USB 2.0 port, 1x Gigabit Ethernet port, RAID (0,1) support, DLNA & DTCP-IP support and ‘WebAccess’ function. The LS220D will start shipping from mid-April for around $326 (2TB), $424 (4TB), $544 (6TB) and $732 (8TB), respectively. [Buffalo]

Buffalo hits back with a new line of USB 3.0 portable hard drives, the Mini Station HD-PLFU3. Coming in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB capacities (black & white color options), these portable hard drives feature a USB 3.0 connection interface, come with a TurboPC EX2 software to increase up to 20% of data storage capacity and are backed by a one year warranty.
