Settlers of Catan Cake Helps Me Win Every Time

I’m not the best Settlers of Catan player, I’m going to be honest.  By “not the best,” I mean that I always lose.  By “honest,” I mean that I’m a lying little rat in the sewer, because NOBODY EVER BEATS ME AT ANYTHING.  You don’t understand the level of competition that I am at – I will burn down your house before I let you beat me in a game of squash.  I will put hundreds of forks into your front lawn before I let you take me down in COD.  I will steal your homegrown tomatoes even if you let me win, because I’m a jerk and those things are delicious.

This Settlers of Catan cake is one of a kind, because it actually can be pulled apart!  Each of the hexes comes off as a bite-sized piece of deliciousness, and the board even has little edible pieces!  “Those are plastic.”  That in no way indicates that they are not edible!  *Eats pieces*

That giant Kalli Cakes logo is obstructing my view, and it’s only on there because the creator is afraid of Samoan pirates internet pirates stealing her stuff.  I always give credit where credit is due, as long as that credit makes me look better.  I feed off of public opinion, my precious. You pirating internet sleaze-bags have ruined my chances of experiencing this cake in all of its glory!

If you like the Settlers of Catan cake, I suggest that you check out the Ninja Cake Pops and the Walking Dead Birthday Cake.  I’m not sure if you will like them, but I like them, and I push my views onto others.  People generally don’t like me, and I generally don’t like people, so it’s a kind of symbiotic ignoring-ship.

Ninja Cake Pops: Are You Quick Enough to Pop Them in Your Mouth?

I have a thing for cake pops. There’s just something so delicious about the idea of a piece of cake you can eat anytime, anywhere – like a lollipop. Whoever invented the cake pop should win a Nobel prize as far as I’m concerned. My favorite cake pops of the day have to be these ones, shaped like little ninjas.

They’re made by SoSweetPops, and come in an assortment of hooded red and black ninja heads, filled with your choice of chocolate, red velvet, vanilla, yellow, carrot, birthday, or strawberry cake. Yum. Strawberry shinobi! My only concern about these cake pops is that ninjas have been known to pull off some serious defensive maneuvers – so they might try and punch their way out of your mouth when you go to eat one. Or they might not even let you get that far.

If you think you’re powerful enough to take on the ninja cake pops, head on over to Etsy, where you can grab a dozen for $24(USD).

Millenium Falcon Cake: She May Not Look Like Much but She Has Frosting Where It Counts

This Millenium Falcon wedding cake looks delicious, although you have to really feel for our buddy Han. He looks really scared there with his eyes popping out of his fondant head.

I’m not sure of all the construction details, but they did an amazing job. The detail is super nice, right down to the guns and radar dish. I’m not sure why Leia is blonde though. Probably because the bride is a blonde. And the heads of Boba Fett and some stormtroopers are a nice touch. And not a spot on it suggesting that a finger had poked at it to get a taste.

Well, I hope that this couple shares a happy life full of geek treats like this cake. Well, not so much that they end up looking like Jabba though. Great cake!

The Walking Dead Birthday Cake: for a Very Happy Undead Birthday

The Walking Dead is both one of my favorite graphic novels as well as television series. Sure, the TV series veers off course from the comics from time-to-time, but that’s to be expected. It’s still a pretty awesome show in my opinion. And to celebrate the TV series AND the birthday of one very lucky guy, we have this awesome Walking Dead inspired birthday cake.

It was created by theRPF forum member Maelina in celebration of her husband’s (Gorgot3000′s) birthday. The scene shows Rick Grimes, Daryl, and Andrea taking up arms against the zombie horde from atop Dale’s Winnebago (poor Dale!), while Glenn finds himself chopping up a zombies with an axe on the ground in the middle of the action.

Of course, Carl has been separated from dear old dad as usual, and has his own dangerous weapon in hand – though it seems as if he should point it at som zombies instead of the ground. Oh, Carl!

The cake is made completely from cake, sugar paste, fondant and food coloring, so it’s completely edible. But it looks so good that I’d eat it if it were made from brains. Check out more pics of this incredible bit of edible zombie goodness over on Flickr.
