Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 Apocalypse DLC Headed To PS3, PC Sept. 26

If you’re a Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 player who doesn’t play the game on Xbox 360, then you know the feeling of being left out in the fun of a new piece of downloadable content all too well. For years now, Call of Duty players have gotten first dibs on new DLC, leaving PlayStation 3 and PC players in the dust. The latest piece of DLC, called Apocalypse, was made available on the Xbox 360 just a few weeks ago, and it looks like the time in the sun for PlayStation 3 and PC players is coming soon as Activision has announced the final piece of DLC for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will be released on September 26.  (more…)

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Uprising Map Pack Now Available On Xbox 360

The wait for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2′s new Uprising map pack wasn’t that long considering Treyarch’s last map pack, Revolution, was released on January 29 on the Xbox 360 and then a few weeks later on the PlayStation 3 and PC. Treyarch announced Uprising would be launched on April 16 earlier this month, and if our calculations are correct, this means today is the day Xbox 360 players have been waiting for as Uprising is now officially available.

As we reported when Uprising was first announced, players can expect to play through four new multiplayer maps: Magma, which is set in a Japanese village surrounded with volcanic eruptions, Encore has you playing through the aftermath of a deserted London music festival, Vertigo takes you to a futuristic, Indian high-rise and last, but certainly not least, is Studio which is a remake of Black Ops’ Firing Range. Black Ops 2 Uprising’s Mob Of The Dead Highlighted In New Trailer

Activision and Treyarch announced last week it would be delivering a new map pack for its Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 called Uprising. The map pack will come with four new multiplayer maps and an all-new co-op zombies campaign called Mob of the Dead. The new zombies campaign will star four iconic actors who have performed numerous mobster roles, which is why both Activision and Treyarch decided to highlight Mob of the Dead in a new trailer.

Mob of the Dead stars the voices and the likenesses of Ray Liotta, Chazz Palminteri, Michael Madsen and Joe Pantoliano as they play four mobsters who find themselves trapped on Alcatraz Island. Lucky for them, they’re not alone, as the entire island has been overrun with zombies who want nothing more than have a meatball sub with the mobsters’ brains. (more…)

Black Ops 2 Uprising Map Pack Marks The Return Of The Replacers

When Call of Duty: Black Ops 2′s Revolution Map Pack was close to being released, Activision knew you’d be spending a lot of time with the game, which is why they suggested you used their Replacer services. With the upcoming release of Black Ops 2′s Uprising Map Pack, The Replacers are back to help you with those important moments in life you need to attend, but would much rather be playing Black Ops 2. This time, the original Replacer Peter Stormare brought along a buddy to help with his replacing this time, actor J.B. Smoove.

As with the previously released Replacer video, you’ll be given a short snippet of the new Uprising map pack, but the main focus of the video will be some of the more humorous job roles the Replacers will have to take up just so you can get some more quality time with Black Ops 2′s newest DLC. You’ll see the Replacers making “Sammiches,” defending the public and fixing the cable to name a few of their roles in the video.

Black Ops 2 Uprising DLC Launching On April 16 With New Story-Driven Zombies Adventure

Earlier this week, a promotional image was spotted at a Best Buy which potentially leaked the next piece of DLC content for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. The leaked “Uprising” promotional image looked to feature four new multiplayer maps as well as what seemed to be a new co-op zombies map called Mob of the Dead. It looks as though that leak was spot on as Activision announced the official details for its upcoming Uprising DLC pack.

The Uprising DLC pack will include new multiplayer maps called Magma, Encore, Vertigo and Studio, all of which you’ll see in the video above. In addition to those four multiplayer maps, Treyarch is also delivering “a reimagining of the classic map Firing Range” as well as a new “zombie adventure” called Mob of the Dead. (more…)

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Next DLC ‘Uprising’ Releasing On April 16 [Rumor]

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Next DLC Uprising Releasing On April 16 [Rumor]

The release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2′s Revolution Map Pack DLC brought a number of additional multiplayer maps, a new co-op map, new game mode called Turned and, for the first time in the franchise’s history, a new downloadable weapon. But as many Call of Duty fans expected, the next piece of DLC for Black Ops 2 seems to be right around the corner according to recently leaked promotional material.

The leaked promotional material outs the name of the DLC pack, known as “Uprising,” and will feature four new multiplayer maps called Vertigo, Encore, Studio and Magma, as well as something called “Mob of the Dead,” which we assume is a new co-op level. The Uprising map pack is expected to be released on April 16, which if it turns out to be true, means we’ll probably be hearing from Activision in regards to the new DLC next week. For now, just keep enjoying the Revolution Map Pack until Activision announces Uprising, although we’re pretty sure if you really enjoy playing Black Ops 2, you’ve probably already exhausted their first piece of DLC by now.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 Will Microtransaction Xbox 360 Players

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 Will Microtransaction Xbox 360 Players

Microtransactions have become quite common in games today, which can be seen as a good or bad thing depending what side of the fence you’re standing on. On one hand, microtransactions can add to a game if you’re somebody who doesn’t have time to earn it yourself within a game. On the other, it could also hold back a good portion of the gameplay experience just so the developer could nickel and dime you. Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will soon go the microtransaction route.

Starting tomorrow, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 will receive an update to offer a free Nuketown 2025 map, the option to download the Nuketown Zombies map and something Activision is called “Micro items.” These reworded microtransactions allow players to spend additional money in order to receive a number of benefits from the game, such as paying 160 Microsoft Points ($2) to receive ten additional Create-a-Class slots.

You can also spend 80 points ($1) to a “Flags of the World Calling Card Packs, and 160 points ($2) for a “Personalization Pack” that allows you to customize your weapon, Calling Card and reticle. Activision showed off one of the packs, called the “Bacon personalization pack” which equips your weapons in a delicious coat of bacon. We’re not sure why you’d want such a skin, but if it’s one thing we do know, it’s that everyone loves bacon.

New Call Of Duty Game Confirmed For 2013 That Will Raise The Bar Higher

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 received its long-awaited Revolution Map Pack over a week ago, and even Treyarch is still hard at work on additional content for its latest Call of Duty title, that doesn’t mean Activision isn’t planning for the next game in the series.

Just as we should expect the sun to rise and set every day, we should also expect a new Call of Duty game to be released with nearly as much frequency. And that’s exactly what Activision announced recently during its post-earnings call. (more…)

Spend More Time With Black Ops 2′s Revolution Map Pack Thanks To The Replacer

Like it or not, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Revolution Map Pack is coming very soon. Like, next week, soon. Which means you’re going to have to balance your personal life as well as your gaming life since Activision has a feeling you’re going to be spending a lot of time with the new map pack. Seeing how the Revolution Map Pack comes with four new multiplayer maps, a new co-op map and allows you to play as a zombie in the new game mode, Turned, we also think you’re going to be spending a lot of time with Black Ops 2 starting next week.

Activision has got you covered as they’ve enlisted the help of “The Replacer.” The Replacer will help you be there for others while you’re busy playing the new Revolution Map Pack. He’ll be there for the birth of your new baby, help your family build furniture and even go on a blind date for you. Sure – everyone will ask who this weird person is that is taking your place, but you won’t care since you’ll be happily playing the new Revolution Map Pack, which we know is exactly what you want to be doing next week.
