New Resident Evil 6 trailer released

Resident Evil 6 isn’t due to arrive for a few more months, so for those of you looking forward to sink your teeth into the game, you’ll be pleased to know that Capcom has decided to release more video footage to satisfy your appetite. Called the Horror trailer, it shows off the grislier aspects of the game (previous footage showed a lot of action instead) and lets you know that Resident Evil hasn’t lost its scare factor.

Zombies? Check. Creepy monsters? Check. Blood? Check. I won’t go into too much detail about the trailer, but you can check it out for yourself in the embedded video above. Who’s stoked for Resident Evil 6? The game is slated to arrive in stores on October 2, 2012.

Mega Man and Sonic to team up for a comic crossover

Mega Man SonicIf you’re a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man, you’ll be pretty pleased to know that there’s going to be a crossover series featuring the two beloved blue heroes.  According to reports online, it will be a 12-part series that is based on Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man and Sonic Universe. No word on what the storyline is going to be or how the crossover happens, but I suspect that will happen at the San Diego Comic Con this week.

There are a number of similarities between both character’s worlds, namely robotic enemies and antagonists with moustaches, so it’s going to be interesting to see how this plays out. And if the comics do well enough, we can only hope it’ll pave the way for a video game (I mean come on – who wouldn’t play a Mega Man X Sonic game??!). Keep your eyes and ears peeled as more details shall be revealed in the future.

Engadget emblem in Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor makes uncontrollable VTs more stylish

Engadget emblem appears in Steel Battalion Heavy Armor, your VT just got techier

Fans of the Steel Battalion series will remember fondly showing off that massive, 40 button controller to their friends and, for a time, feeling like the most hardcore gamer on the planet. Those days are sadly gone, that amazing controller not compatible with the Xbox 360, but of course these days you are the controller. Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor is the latest, Kinect-powered entry to the series and if you look around you’ll find the above, your very own Engadget logo that you can plaster all over your Vertical Tank. While we’ve had limited time with the game, we have to echo the sentiment of our friends over at Joystiq who conclude that the controls are, well, broken to put it mildly. But hey, dig that logo!

Resident Evil 6 demo now available for Xbox 360 Dragon’s Dogma players

Resident Evil 6If all the video footage and news stories about Resident Evil available online isn’t enough to satisfy your cravings for the game – you’re in luck if you own an Xbox 360 and a copy of Dragon’s Dogma. Capcom announced today that the Resident Evil 6 demo that was promised with Dragon’s Dogma is now live. All you have to do is head over to the Xbox marketplace, and redeem your code that is written on the back of the Dragon’s Dogma manual to start your download.

I don’t own an Xbox 360 so I can’t tell you what you’re missing out on, but if Capcom delivers what is promised in all the released video footage of the game, I’m pretty sure it’s going to be one hell of a ride (at least until the demo ends). For those of you with an Xbox 360 and the game, what are you waiting for? Check it out and let us know what you think.
