Case Cord iPhone Case for Gadget Fashionistas

Ever wanted to match your iPhone’s case with your wardrobe? I actually know a lot of people who do this, and this case takes the possible customization a bit further. At the end, it will match your clothes, but you most probably will have to sacrifice some of your old clothes to make it happen.

The Case Cord was created by the Korean designer Lee Ji Hoon and it uses spare fabric from your apparel as the backplate. You’ll need to cut out a portion of your clothes with the supplied template, then fit it into the designated casing. Having played around with old denim, I can imagine that might look cool.

For now, the case is just a concept/prototype, but I’m sure that there will be enough interest for this to be made into a real product at some point.

Phocus iPhone Case Lets You Use Your DSLR Lenses, Taking iPhonetography to the Max

There are cases that allow you to use additional lenses for your iPhone, but the Phocus case goes one step beyond those. It will let you use your DSLR lenses, either Canon or Nikon, to get the best picture possible. However, your iPhone might no longer be as compact as you would have liked.

The Phocus iPhone case does a good job of using your existing lenses, especially if you’ve already got a DSLR. The case might be best suited for photographers trying to get the most out of their iPhone, and who want to mount their smartphone on a tripod. Watch out if you’ve got big telephoto lenses though, it could get quite bulky.

The Phocus case comes in two packages, one that sells for $99.95(USD) that comes with two extra lenses and one that sells for $134.95 that comes with three. You’ll have to spend extra to get the Canon or Nikon lens adapters, which sell for $220 and $245 respectively, so it can add up really quickly.

If you’re going to spend this much money and carry around giant lenses anyhow, it makes me wonder why you don’t just use your DSLR itself.

ego Hybrid Flash Drive iPhone Case Combines 2 Essential Things

iPhone cases and USB flash drives are probably some of the most popular tech around, and both things that you almost always have to have on you. That’s one of the reasons why ego decided to combine them into one sleek package. The ego Hybrid iPhone case looks pretty good, and you’ll be able to carry a USB flash drive without knowing it and without losing it.

ego hybrid usb iphone case

The ego Hybrid USB Series 2-in-1 iPhone case has a slide-out USB flash drive that’s available in 4, 8, or 16GB sizes. It’s incorporated into the case itself, which is made out of matte gray resin that’s matched with pastel drive colors. It’s not a bad look, and the fact of the matter is that I’ve lost quite a few USB drives over the years, so this will keep one securely in a known place.

The ego Hybrid iPhone case starts out at $34.95 for the 4GB and goes up to $49.95 for the 16GB version. The only improvement I can think off is it would be great if your iPhone could connect via Bluetooth to the flash drive to transfer files.

It perfectly matches the Poketo Striped Fleece backpack, which looks even cooler and more comfy. The backpacks are made out of sweatshirt fleece, which is even softer to the touch.

The Striped Fleece Laptop case sells for $32(USD) and the Striped Fleece backpack sells for $58. The laptop cases are available for laptops with 13″ or 15″ screens. The backpack can fit a 15″ laptop. Unfortunately, 17″ MacBook Pro users like me are screwed.

New 2012 iPhone body reportedly leaks, gives the glass front its time to shine

New reported 2012 iPhone body leaks, gives the glass front its time to shine

Remember that tall, mostly aluminum 2012 iPhone shell that appeared to have leaked? It’s back. This time, KitGuru has unearthed what it claims is a “test sample” with the glass front panel roughly intact. We’ve seen the darker steel sides, aluminum back and new dock connector before, but the front gives us a much better sense of how the finished product (if real) will turn out. Sitting next to an iPhone 4S, it’s suggested that the new model would stuff in that bigger screen more through a better use of the available area — there’s much less blank space than on the iPhones we’ve known since 2007. While we still don’t know for sure if the design shown here is close to what will go hand-in-hand with iOS 6 in the fall, we’re starting to see enough smoke that there’s bound to be a fire nearby.

The Hana case is definitely an oddity, because you actually stick your fingers up its silicone nose to hold your iPhone. Grossed out yet? If not, then this might be the case for you. Digging around in there will surely get you a few looks on public transport.

FreedomPop jumping from WiMAX to LTE by year’s end, iPhone sleeves intact

FreedomPop

Followers of FreedomPop’s saga have seen the fledgling data-only provider make a few audacious claims: providing free bandwidth, for one, and basing its 4G device lineup as much on iPhone sleeve cases as on traditional access points. Add another one to the list — the MVNO is planning to switch from Clearwire’s WiMAX network to Sprint’s LTE before 2012 is over. While FreedomPop is still planning to go forward with WiMAX for the initial deployment, it’s now looking to use tri-mode EV-DO, LTE and WiMAX modems and phone cases just months later. We’ll see if that leads to existing iPhone 4 and 4S owners getting an LTE fix without having to spring for a new phone; marketing VP Tony Miller wouldn’t tell GigaOM more. Either way, it’s a mixed blessing for data addicts that might find themselves crashing that much faster through the 500MB regular cap on free data.

Ag++ Aluminum iPhone Case: Metal Goodness

What is is about aluminum that works so well with iOS devices? Maybe because Apple’s other industrial designs like unibody case of the MacBook Pro translates so nicely for accessories as well. If you’re thinking about an aluminum case for your iPhone, check out the Ag++ case, created by designer Andrea Ponti.

You’ve got the music, the air conditioning, and the chemicals. Fake some ID, hand over $33 and reach for the lasers.

The iPhone MacPro Case: 3D-Print Yours for Free!

Well, it probably won’t be free for most of us who don’t have our own 3D printers, but still this is a great-looking case, perfect for all of the Apple fanboys who just love the Mac Pro. Heck, who wouldn’t want to have a Mac Pro they can stick in their pocket?

The iPhone 4/4S MacPro case takes the front of the Mac Pro and fits it onto the back of your iPhone. The design was created to maintain the integrity behind Apple’s design philosophy. I have to say as an iPhone case, this looks pretty awesome.

The designer Cinemo recommends 3D-printing this baby on Polished White Strong & Flexible (Nylon), but Polished Alumide would look cool as well. You can get yours directly through Shapeways if you don’t have a 3D printer for about $30(USD).
