Rugged iPad cases seem to be in demand, and I guess it makes sense since people are taking their tablets all over the place. The LifeProof iPad case is both durable and waterproof, so you won’t be damaging your tech while on your adventures.

LifeProof makes some sturdy cases, and apart from offering military-grade shock and impact protection, the case is also waterproof for up to 6.6 feet. Though one interesting idea is that the screen of your ipad is actually exposed to the elements, and just sealed in place by a watertight O-ring. You’ll also still be able to use your headphones, which also has a watertight seal. The other port covers are also sealed.

LifeProof hasn’t yet disclosed the pricing of this rugged case, but you can leave your email at their website if you want further information. The LifeProof iPhone case costs $79.99, so expect the iPad case to cost more than that. The case is expected to ship in July.

Desk case PC mods have lit up our radar before, but a modder by the name of Pirate — who’s no stranger to us — has dropped the typical glass and metal enclosure for medium-density fiberboard. Though the material choice was an effort to avoid buying a new desk, it created a need for a robust cooling system. Five fans (three exhaust, two intake), a radiator and a liquid-cooling system keep the rig at roughly 88 F (31 C) with ambient temperatures hovering around 79 F (26 C). As for horsepower, the workstation features a Core-i5-2000k processor and a Radeon HD 7950 graphics card sporting a water cooling block on an Asus Gene IV microATX motherboard. Visuals are piped to three displays in an Eyefinity configuration that are held by a modded ergonomic stand. Pictures of the build process in excruciating detail await you at the source.

Finding the right iPad cover is sort of a first world problem – there’s plenty of choice and you just don’t know what to spend your money on. I’ve been using a Speck case and the smart cover for a while but I think I found my new favorite, the Moshi iGlaze with folding VersaCover. What it lacks in naming finesse it makes up for in beauty.

This case features a bonded cover and clear back shell case (called iGlaze). The cover itself is the real draw, however. It is made of soft material and folds in five places. Two magnets hold the edges together, turning it into sort of a cup or beak that you can use to hold up the iPad in portrait or landscape positions.

Moshi doesn’t make cases in crazy colors or styles – no Hello Kitty here – but the iGlaze is delightfully low-key and seems to just work. I can’t comment on the durability yet – I haven’t dragged this onto forty planes and through 80 TSA checkpoints yet – but at first blush it seems like it will last at least as long as a my Speck/Smart Cover combo.

Apple has already entered the full case space with the $49 Smart Case but I think the unique folding design of this $60 Moshi model may make up for the lack of color choice. It’s a cool case with plenty of flair and well worth checking out if you’re in the market.

For a tablet that prides itself in being thin and lightweight, the latest Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 accessory sure adds considerable heft to the device. The Korean manufacturer’s UK branch has teamed up with 14 Bike Co to bring the world the Samsung Galaxy bicycle — a mild-mannered bike with a custom paint job and a detachable holder for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 made from carbon fiber. So, why carry a tablet on a bicycle? For checking things like mileage planners and route trackers on the go, apparently. No word on pricing yet, but we’re guessing that this’ll be among the more expensive tablet accessories out there. Press information after the break.
