Said outfit has been cranking out waterproof shells for Apple’s cash cows for awhile now, but the latest one is of particular interest due to the iPod nano 5G’s integrated video recorder. The $79.99 case enables you to capture video clips while under the sea, and considering the multitude of wild and wacky scene modes, we’d say next summer just got a lot more interesting. Just ask that dude up there if you don’t believe us.

So, there are two nagging issues surrounding Thermaltake’s awe-inspiring Level 10 enclosure. First, it’s $850 and nearly impossible to find in stock; second, you best know how to piece together a full-blown rig yourself, ’cause you won’t find this beast hanging around at infrequently visited corners of Dell or HP. Somehow or another, however, iBuyPower has managed to swoop in and remedy quandary number two. As of today, it’s the exclusive provider of pre-built systems using this case, with base configurations boasting Intel’s Core i7-920, a 2GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285, 6GB of DDR3 RAM, a 128GB SSD boot drive, 1TB of storage space and a Blu-ray drive. Feel free to spec this one out ’til your heart’s content, but be mindful of that already-lofty $2,499 starting tag.

Yes, you can travel easily with a 27-inch iMac, thanks to the just-announced CaseCruzer carrying case made for that model. CaseCruzer specializes in indestructible padded cases for a variety of computers. This iMac model holds the LCD screen in an upright position, and is both airtight and waterproof. If you’re traveling for a trade show and you need a large iMac for demonstration, you’ll be safe even from airport baggage handlers with this one.
While the 27-inch iMac case is large (34.5 by 13 by 30 inches), it’s no chore to maneuver, thanks to corner wheels. It also includes two durable cushioned rubber end handles for easy lifting. The EVERKI Camber netbook case must have an inferiority complex. Why else, when every other netbook sleeve is designed to take up minimal space, does the Camber sport a large, bulging protrusion from one side? Well, you might say, it’s designed to raise your netbook or ultraportable up to a more ergonomic 30 degree angle away from horizontality, but when was the last time you really regretted not owning a CushionSpeaker or a CushDesk? The more useful feature here, for us, is the space that bulge provides for storing your charger and AC plug (which can be horrifically huge in the UK), though whether the $49.99 price is justifiable, we leave up to you. Look, you’ve always known that you were the next Kelly Slater, but you’ve never had the outlay to hire a professional recording team to capture your rides off of Oahu’s stunning north shore. Thankfully for you, your extreme sporting dreams are about to become a reality courtesy of a $39.99 waterproof case, which has just been released to encase VholdR’s ContourHD and ContourHD1080p helmet cams — which we just so happened to take a look at ourselves earlier this year. Said case can withstand liquids for up to ten meters deep, and just in case you’re in the accessorizing mood, the outfit has also released a handlebar mount, vented helmet mount, and a lens kit to its accessory range. Granted, all of this stuff will be rendered pointless when we start embedding HD cameras into our retinas, but we suppose it’ll do the trick until that fateful day.

Does your iPhone case match your outfit? I mean really match it? It can, now that case-maker Griffin has partnered with clothing co-op Threadless.
The first offering of this team-up is a slim polycarbonate iPhone case featuring one of two original Threadless images: clouds within the thunder and birds of a feather (shown). Both the shirt and the cases are limited runs, so if you love them, you’d better hurry. The cases go for $34.99 each.
More case designs and other accessories will follow from the partnership. At Threadless, the customers are the designers: Designs are submitted by a worldwide community of artists, and one million site members vote on which images will be made into T-shirts.
“I’ve been a fan of Threadless ever since my first visit to their retail store in Chicago,” said Mark McGlon, visual brand coordinator at Griffin Technology. “I saw immediately, from their layout and presentation, that their shirt designs would be a perfect match for our accessories.”
Quirky’s, erm, quirky approach to product design and marketing seems to be working. The company’s latest crowd-sourced gadget is the Beamer, which is not a German car that turns its owner into a boorish prig but an iPhone case with its own built-in flashlight.
And like its Powercurl cord-winder and Kickster Nano case, the Beamer production line will only be powered up when enough orders have been received — 500 in this case. The Beamer itself is a two-part plastic case with an LED lamp on the back and a recessed silicon switch on the side. Hit the switch once and you get ten seconds of bright light, enough time to snap a photo with the iPhone’s camera. Press it twice, quickly, and the light stays on until you press the switch again.
The case runs off a lithium coin-cell, like many bicycle lights, and should last for around ten hours before it dies. If you want one, sign up now and have your card billed for $32 when production starts.

Now that the Kindle has ventured outside its home — the land of cowboys, blue jeans and beef — it seems that it should get a change of clothes. The Amazon-supplied leather jacket may make the e-reader look all cool and James Dean in its native land, but overseas we’re a little more conservative.
So it seems very fitting that the first English Kindle case to reach our inbox is a wool and cashmere pinstripe number, the very essence of the City Gent in protective rectangular form. It costs 22 Pounds Sterling ($36), and with its foam lining works as a protective slip case rather than mimicking a paper book’s cover like the official Kindle uniform. The maker, UK Wrappers, also offers a range of materials and designs, including a couple of tartans for Scottish Kindle owners, and a Paisley-lined number for the Irish.
It’s all very international, although I now feel that my Kindle is a little underdressed here in Spain. What should he wear, I wonder? Suggestions in the comments.

Remember that Thermaltake enclosure that blew your mind back in March? Of course — you’re still recovering, after all. Fast forward to today, and that very case — which had a hint of BMW influence, by the way — has morphed into reality, and it’s far and away one of the most fabulous cases we’ve ever seen. Amazingly, the finished product looks awfully similar to the concept, with each compartment boasting its own ventilation. There’s room for pretty much anything you’d ever want (yes, even room for three Blu-ray writers), and of course, enough LEDs are included to light up the average night club. You should also know that the shipping container weighed 66 pounds and the chassis itself is probably larger than your eight year old, so unless you’ve got more square footage than you know what to do with, you’re probably better off viewing the unboxing shots (there in the via link) from afar.
