Cat Has TIE Fighter Markings: The Empire Claws Back

This cat must be part of the Imperial fleet and he doesn’t even try to hide it. Either that or he is an a never ending war with that TIE Fighter on his fur. Maybe the Empire sends him out to act as a decoy to fool other animals and distract them.

This cat is owned by Ella McConnell, who must make spaceship and laser noises every time it walks by. I know I would. This cat needs to watch out for X-wing cats if he wants to avoid a fight. Maybe he could just face the other way and let it pass.

This is just more proof that God loves Star Wars. Not the prequels though. That is the devil’s work.

Giant Cat Couch Lets You Sit on Your Cat’s Lap

Any cat owner knows just how much cats love human laps. Now you can switch things up and sit on their lap for a change with this massive cat couch. This huge feline comes from Unfold, a design studio in Antwerp, Belgium and it is a cat lovers dream come true.

I call it a couch, but Unfold thinks of it as more of a sculpture. It is appropriately called Felix Domesticus. This is just one of five cat-themed elements of an art installation that the studio assembled in 2010. The 3.5-meter long cat takes up residence in an apartment’s master bedroom, while visitors to the exhibit can sit on it. I wonder what a small house cat would think about this?

Now if they only sold these things, we could all sit and lay on a giant cat, without getting fur all over our clothes.

Hello Kitty Ninja Turtles: Heroes with a Hairball

These cool looking toys are aimed at the amazingly small cross-section of people who are fans of both Hello Kitty and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Or maybe there are a lot of fans who like both franchises. What do I know? This combination does make a super neat looking group though, I have to admit.

These feline heroes in a half shell are pretty adorable. The six inch-tall figures even have bows that match the masks. They are limited to 1,000 pieces and are going for ¥6,980 (~$69 USD) each. Pretty expensive, but then again, it isn’t everyday that you see Teenage Mutant Ninja Kitties.

They are available through DCT as far as I can tell since I don’t speak Japanese. Get the whole set. Who knows? Maybe this will be a cartoon.

Mew-Mew Mjölnirs: Hammer Time for Cats

We definitely need more cute stuff in superhero movies. Like Thor. Remember when Darcy calls his hammer “Mew-Mew?” Well, Etsy seller TwinsGeekShop has taken the nickname and created some literal Mew-Mew hammers. And they are pretty darn cute.

Of course these fabric hammers look like kitties, kitties that can beat you senseless. That is what they are made for, beating each other up with cuteness. Then throwing them on your couch so you can cuddle with them later.

Unfortunately, if you want some Mew-Mew Mjölnirs you may have to wait a while. The seller is based in Russia, and they’re currently sold out. PLus, shipping to the U.S. takes around 21 days. But it is totally worth it. Beating people with cuteness. Is there anything better?

Say Hello and Give Your Pet Treats Remotely with PetChatz

I feel immense guilt every morning when I say goodbye to Burrito, my hyper-energetic Pomeranian. There’s just something about his puppy dog eyes that make me want to stay home and play with him all day instead… which I unfortunately can’t do if I want to keep my job.

That’s where PetChatz comes in.

PetChatzPetChatz is a pet communication system that lets you interact remotely with your pet. It features two-way video, so you and your pet can see each other when it’s on. The device connects to your WiFi network, which allows remote activation via the PetChatz website or through an app that is compatible on most tablets and smartphones.

PetChatz can play a tone to attract your pet’s attention. Once it’s in front of the screen, you can it dispense a treat or release a scent for your pet to sniff on. A “calming” scent is available, but you can also choose to mix up your own customized scent.

PetChatz is also equipped with sound and motion detectors, and you can program it to send you an alert whenever it detects the presence of your pet. PetChatz is available for pre-order for $349(USD) and will ship out next year.

Grumpy Cat is Every Disney Princess

Prepare to have all your favorite memories from childhood invaded by none other than Grumpy Cat. She’s a huge sensation on the interwebs and people young and old recognize her as the cat from “that meme.”

Grumpy Cat is often the subject of artwork, and she’s the inspiration once again in artist Eric Proctor aka TsaoShi’s latest gallery on deviantArt.

Eric’s work puts Grumpy Cat at the center of iconic Disney movie moments, from the Little Mermaid on her rock with the water splashing all about or that scene from Lion King where Rafiki is raising little Simba. (On a side note, I can’t believe that I still remember the baboon’s name after all these years!)

You can check out the rest of the series in the gallery below.

Cat Candles Reveal Gory Skeleton Insides as They Melt

Aww, look at the cute little kitty candles… Now light them up and enjoy their warming glow.

Now watch in horror as their tiny insides are slowly revealed…

cat skeleton candles 1 620x1198magnify

These nightmare-inducing candles, titled The Devil’s Pet were conceptualized by Icelandic artist Thorunn Arnadottir using a tiny aluminum skeleton inside of a wax casting.

Sweet little kittens are transformed in a fire. Crawling from the ashes come forth grinning metallic devils with sharp claws and fire blazing in their eyes.

Now that’s quite a visual.

Due to popular demand, Thorunn plans on producing these candles via a Kickstarter campaign in the near future. If you’re interested in grabbing some once they’re available, hit this link to sign up for the artist’s newsletter. It’s too bad they won’t be ready for Halloween. Oh well, there’s always next year.

Placekitten: Let Kitties Take the Place of Blank Spaces in Web Designs

Who doesn’t love kittens? I’m no professional web designer, but I’ve tried designing a site or two, and let me just say it involved a lot of hard work. One of the tiring aspects of web design is having to insert placeholders for designs, images, or code that aren’t ready yet.

So to make that aspect of design less of a pain and a bit more fun, Placekitten was born.

Placekittenmagnify

It’s essentially an image gallery of sorts that was created with web designers in mind. Using the site, developers, designers, and cat lovers can generate various sizes of cat and kitten images that can be used as placeholders in their designs. Just use the URL below to get started.

http://placekitten.com/width/height

For example, if you want an image that’s 300×200, just type “http://placekitten.com/300/200” into your URL to get your correctly-sized kitty.

Here’s a couple of examples generated by the service:

Awwwwww. Placekitten exists thanks to Mark James.

Kitty-Casso: For Cat Vinci and Felineangelo

Life gets a lot more interesting when there’s a cat around. Consider yourself lucky if you own a cat with a personality that’s as huge as that of Tardar Sauce’s (aka Grumpy Cat.) Even if you don’t, their demanding but endearing ways will soon melt down your walls and get to you.

As a result, cats have people making them all sorts of stuff, from iPad games for cats to the Cat Tunnel Sofa. Another thing to add to that list is Kitty-Casso.

Kitty Cassomagnify

In case it isn’t obvious enough to you, Kitty-Casso is a paint kit for cats. It contains five tubs of non-toxic acrylic paint, art paper, paint shields, one frame, and of course, a surprise toy for your cat.

kitty casso 2 620x359magnify

Now I don’t think your kitty cat will know what you expect him to do after smearing his paws with paint, but hey, here’s to hoping that he’ll surprise you pleasantly and not make too big of a mess. And there’s always an outside chance he’ll create a masterpiece and you can sell it to a wealthy benefactor.

Kitty-Casso is available at Amazon for $19.95(USD). And dog owners, don’t feel left out – they also make Pup-Casso for your anipals.
