iPhone Survives 82 Days Of Being Submerged

iPhone Survives 82 Days Of Being SubmergedThey say that an accident knows no boundaries, and these people are definitely correct in saying so. The thing is, we on our part, are able to reduce the risk of bad stuff happening in an accident. Take David McGregor for instance – he did hook up his iPhone 4 to himself while he went kayaking, wrapping the smartphone in a waterproof Optrix case. Unfortunately, when he was out at sea paddling away, his iPhone 4 did not make it and fell right into the waters there. The more amazing thing was this, the handset actually managed to remain workable (after charging up its battery, of course) despite spending 82 days under water prior to being washed up on the beach.

Robot Plays Flappy Bird Pretty Well

Robot Plays Flappy Bird Pretty WellThere does not seem to be much news concerning Flappy Bird these days, especially after the creator of the game, Dong Nguyen, decided to remove it “for our own good”. Well, just in case you so happen to own a device that is still capable of playing Flappy Bird because the game itself has already been installed, what is your high score? You might be feeling all smug about it, but have you actually tried to measure your performance against others? How about coming up against a robot opponent? Humans vs robots are always interesting matchups, pretty much like a GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) debates, such as this table tennis playing robot who will go up against a human in due time. Liu Yang and Shi Xuekun of China are the brains behind this robot prototype that plays Flappy Bird pretty well. How well, you ask?

Samsung Will Preload Apps On Galaxy Devices Based On Your Personality [Rumor]

Rumor has it that Samsung wants to make your experience of purchasing a Galaxy device from its retail store more personalized. Apparently the company is going to install third party applications based on the user’s personality, when that user comes in to a Samsung retail store to purchase a Galaxy device. So for example banking and finance apps would be installed for someone working in a corporation or running their own business, while students may get office suites and note taking applications. Younger buyers may be enticed with pre-installed games.

Researchers Find iOS Security Flaw To Monitor Screen Taps And Keystrokes

A security firm called FireEye has discovered a new security flaw in iOS which can be exploited by a malicious app to keep track of screen taps as well as log all keystrokes. The test was conducted on a non-jailbroken iOS 7.0.4 device on which a “monitoring” application was installed. FireEye hasn’t revealed exactly how it was able to install the app on the device, given the fact that Apple has strict measures in place that safeguard its mobile devices against sideloading of apps. Its possible to do so on a jailbroken device though.

    LG F90 Mid-Ranged Handset Unveiled

LG F90 Mid Ranged Handset UnveiledThe other day LG announced the LG F70 which was a mid-ranged phone. This came as something of a surprise given that LG had previously unveiled the LG G Pro 2 and the L90, L70, and L40 handsets ahead of MWC 2014, so we had thought perhaps that was all LG had to offer this year.

Well it looks like apart from the LG F70, the company also has an LG F90 which they have also unveiled.
