White House Reportedly Unhappy With Samsungs Selfie Stunt

If you like to keep an eye on viral stuff, you might have come across David Ortiz’s selfie with U.S. President Barack Obama. The hitter for Boston Red Sox met the president after the White House invited the World Series winning team for a visit. At the event Ortiz asked the president if he would pose for a selfie, which he did. Ortiz tweeted it, and the image was then retweeted by Samsung Mobile’s official Twitter account. Grush, Connected Toothbrush with Games

    Grush, Connected Toothbrush with Games
Another day, another connected toothbrush… the Grush one is slightly different from Kolibree, the first electrical connected toothbrush, because it will feature a few games at launch and it is not electrical. Note that the Kolibree team talked about adding games in the future but we have not seen one yet. For now, Grush is merely an early stage prototype that has been developed by cofounders Ethan Daniel Schur and Dr. Yong-Jing Wang.

Galaxy S5 Zoom Purported Picture Appears Online

Galaxy S5 Zoom Purported Picture Appears Online

Samsung has a penchant for launching several variants of its flagship smartphone. Come April 11th the Samsung Galaxy S5 is going to be released in more than 100 countries. A couple of upcoming variants have already been rumored, such as Galaxy S5 mini and the Galaxy S5 Zoom. Today a purported picture of the Galaxy S5 Zoom has appeared online. Rumor has it that the device might actually be called Galaxy K Zoom.

If that really is true, then Samsung would be moving away from the naming convention that it debuted with Galaxy S4 Zoom. A similar variant of 2013 flagship was also released last month, the main idea behind this variant is to offer a much better imaging experience, even if that means opting for not so spectacular hardware specifications.

Rumored specifications for Galaxy S5 Zoom include a 1.6GHz quadcore or 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos 5 hexacore processor with ARM Mali-T624 graphics. It may have a 4.8-inch display and 2GB RAM. The Galaxy S5 Zoom might come with Android 4.4.2 KitKat pre-installed.

Evidently the pièce de résistance on this variant will be its camera. Word on the street is that it packs a 20 megapixel rear camera with 10x optical zoom as well as a Xenon flash. Its predecessor, the Galaxy S4 Zoom, had a 16 megapixel camera, so at least that’s an improvement. Samsung hasn’t officially confirmed when or if it intends to launch this variant. [Image via KZoom]

Sony Xperia Z2 Compact Might Have Received FCC Approval AlreadyIt does seem that the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact has left a mark in the world of smartphones, as this particular device could very well feature a successor in the weeks or months ahead. Nothing’s been confirmed just yet, but we could very well have seen the Xperia Z2 Compact gain FCC approval, although the handset in question has been certified as the Sony SO-04F “Altair”, which will in all probability be a device made available via NTT DoCoMo of Japan if one were to take the model number as a reference.
