    HTC One M8: Hands-On Preview

HTC One M8: Hands On PreviewThe best HTC smartphone ever just got a successor. The all new HTC One (aka HTC One M8) has been officially, and it will replace the HTC One M7 which came out just a year ago. There were quite a few leaks ahead of this launch, and many of them were spot on, but when I saw the HTC One M8 for myself, I though that none of the leaked photos did justice to the actual design and build quality of this handset. Now that it is out, you may want to check it out for yourself because if you thought that the original HTC One shined with its industrial design, the M8 takes it to the next level. Let’s take a closer look.

Windows Phone 8.1 Could Let Developers Reply To App Reviews

Windows Phone 8.1 Could Let Developers Reply To App ReviewsThere are some reviews left by users, whether it be for a product, a service, or a restaurant, that does not allow the seller/owner to respond. We’re not sure why that is since it gives the person a chance to explain themselves.

Well the good news is that if you’re planning on developing for the Windows Phone platform, or if you’ve already developed for the platform, you will be pleased to learn that thanks to a recent Windows Phone 8.1 leak, it looks like developers will soon be able to respond to reviews left on their apps. Well, Telegram now has 35 million members, where 15 million of them happen to be active members who make use of Telegram on a daily basis. In fact, in the past 30 days alone, the Telegram app has received a whopping 8 billion messages.

Next Nokia Firmware Could Be The “Blue” Update

Nokia does seem to be a company that has a great love for colors – otherwise, they would not have called its previous update the Nokia Black update, and this time around, it is widely believed that Nokia could refer to the upcoming Windows Phone 8.1 update as “Blue”. It does make sense, too, considering how the GDR2 update to Windows Phone which was introduced to the masses in 2013 alongside its accompanying firmware update was known as the “Amber” update.

Alleged iPhone 6 Dummy Model Reveals Possible Dimensions

Alleged iPhone 6 Dummy Model Reveals Possible DimensionsNo one really knows what the iPhone 6 will look like. In fact no one knows how big the phone will be, despite the rumors that the iPhone 6 could come in two sizes: 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch (earlier rumors suggested 5.7-inch).

However recently a Japanese case manufacturer has uploaded photos of a dummy device that is allegedly based on the iPhone 6, although we have no way of verifying if any of this is true. At the same time it does make for a pretty interesting point of discussion, so why not, right? (more…)

CyanogenMod Nightlies Adds Business/People Search In Dialer App

CyanogenMod Nightlies Adds Business/People Search In Dialer AppOne of the interesting and handy features of Android 4.4 KitKat is the ability to search for people or businesses in the dialer app. For example if you wanted to call a particular restaurant to make a booking but you don’t have their number, you could try searching for it in the dialer app as opposed to having to fire up your browser and perform a search.

This could potentially cut down the time spent searching for phone numbers and is pretty handy, since a business’s name will also show up in the caller ID, letting you know who is calling. The good news is that if you don’t have Android 4.4 KitKat but would like that feature, the folks at CyanogenMod will be adding that feature into their latest nightlies. (more…)
