WhatsApp For Windows Phone To Get More Privacy Features

WhatsApp For Windows Phone To Get More Privacy FeaturesIf you have used WhatsApp before, you know that WhatsApp provides statuses on you that your friends and contacts can see. Basically it tells them when was the last time that you were seen online on WhatsApp. It’s handy if you want to check if a particular number is still being used for WhatsApp, but at the same time can be kind of stalker-ish.

The good news is that WhatsApp for Windows Phone could soon be getting a new privacy feature which allows users to select who can see their “last seen” status, thus blocking off any stalkers and exes that you might not wish to keep in contact with, or at least not let them into your life anymore. Leaked Nokia Lumia 630 Product Sheet Hints At 4.5 Inch Display

Leaked Nokia Lumia 630 Product Sheet Hints At 4.5 Inch Display

Nokia might be in the process of wrapping up its devices and services division and getting ready to drop it in Microsoft’s lap, but that doesn’t mean it has been sitting idly by, leaving the market to fend for itself. Earlier this week it unveiled its first ever Android phones, and it is believed that Nokia still has a couple of Windows Phone devices up its sleeve. The Nokia Lumia 630 is apparently one of them, and this smartphone’s purported “product sheet” has been leaked, which points towards a 4.5 inch display and also sheds light on the possible dimensions.

If this product sheet is to be believed, the Lumia 630 will come in at 129.55mm x 66.7mm, with the front being dominated by its 4.5 inch display. If previous specifications leak turn out to be true, it could be a 720p HD display on this smartphone. Apparently codenamed “Moneypenny,” the Lumia 630 was initially expected to be unveiled at MWC 2014.

There may very well be one aspect to this smartphone that will set it apart from all Windows Phone devices, even those from Nokia. It is believed that the Lumia 630 is going to be the world’s first dual-SIM Windows Phone. That’s very much possible, given that Microsoft has already confirmed Windows Phone 8.1 will bring support for dual-SIM phones. Presumably it will be launched in emerging markets at the start, after Microsoft formally unveiled its next major mobile platform update.

Google SVP and Android head Sundar Pichai has made some interesting comments at the Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona. He did go on record to clarify that contrary to popular belief Google did not bid $10 billion for WhatsApp, in fact it wasn’t interested in acquiring it at all. He also addressed Nexus 6 rumors, though with a ten foot pole, assuring that “it will not be released in the first half of the year.”

Sony Xperia Z2 Sole Flagship Status Is Not For Long (Rumor)The Sony Xperia Z2 that was unveiled at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, just earlier this week, is no doubt the latest flagship smartphone from the folks over at Sony. Well, it might seem as though a flagship device would keep its “position” within the company for a year or so, such as the iPhone from Apple and the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy S5. Things might be done differently over at Sony, however, as Sony Mobile’s Creative Director, Director of Product Planning and UX General Manager, Yoshiro Kurozumi, shared on how he figured out that a half yearly upgrade cycle would be a whole lot more beneficial to the industry.
