There is a new job posting that appeared on Microsoft Careers, pointing out the fact that Microsoft’s Interactive Entertainment Business is currently looking for new faces for a kind of cloud-based TV platform that has been dubbed “Cloud TV”. The careers which went up on the Internet did not reveal too much information, although we do know that Redmond is after skilled software engineers who do have adequate experience in web technologies including HTML5 and JavaScript, in addition to having dipped their toes in mobile and browser application development prior.
Assuming Cloud TV takes off in a big way (we do hope that Microsoft will reveal more about the project), this would mean Microsoft will further strengthen their already strong presence in the media world, having products like the Xbox 360 deliver a slew of interactive content right in the comfort of your living room. What, in your opinion, do you think that the Cloud TV project is all about, and do you have any speculation on it?
