I have so many questions about being able to filter water out of coke. I don’t even care why. But does it tast like Coke flavored water? Or water flavored coke? Or maybe even just carbonated sugar water without the cola? The guy makes it seem like it taste disgusting and that’s the complete opposite of Coca Cola. Does that mean Crystal Pepsi is hiding inside Coke? More »
These Clever Packages Can Turn Crates of Coke Into Boxes of Life-Saving Medicine
Posted in: Today's Chili It’s one thing to have life-saving medicine, but it’s quite another to get it delivered to where its really needed. And what better way to make sure it gets to the furthest reaches of the world than by packing it in with a truly vital necessity like Coke. More »
It always seemed like a scare tactic that fat fearing parents would tell their sugar loving kids: if you drink too much Coke, you could die! (okay, maybe in a not so morbid way) But a woman actually died from drinking too much Coke. The coroner blamed the 30-year-old woman’s 2.2 GALLON a day Coke problem—as in Coca Cola—as the reason for her death. More »
Coca-Cola Work It Out Calculator
Posted in: Today's ChiliCoca-Cola in Great Britain has come up with what they call the ‘Work It Out Calculator‘, where it was developed in association with ex-Olympian and professor Dr. Greg Whyte, in order to share with the rest of the world the importance of balancing the kind of energy that enters your body, as well as energy spent. This is an online tool which allows you to pick your your favorite Coca‑Cola beverage, and after consuming it, will also share a list of various exercises so that you are able to burn off the calories consumed. Take for example a can of Coca-Cola that has 139 calories – you will need to play 17 minutes of basketball or vacuum your home for 51 minutes in order to burn the entire can. Salsa dancing takes the shortest amount of time at just 14 minutes, and I wonder how many hours of Diablo 3 gaming does it take to do so?
Of course, there would be those who have a different school of thought – avoid drinking all the fizzy drinks like Coca-Cola altogether, and settle for far more nutritious and healthy drinks such as natural fruit juices and of course, water. At least you do not need to run the risk of getting diabetes along the way, but if you cannot give up your daily intake of Coke, the Work It Out Calculator does make for a fun site to visit.

And so, Coca-Cola’s ingenious advertising campaigns continue. Remember their ‘Open Happiness’ vending machines that gave people free coke for a hug? This time around, they didn’t give out free drinks. This time, it was a complete meal – plus an awesome experience that they can tell their grandchildren about in due time.
What Coca-Cola did was team up with the Naked Communications agency and production company Acne to bring Operation ‘Happiness Table’ to life. They deployed a delivery truck that was quickly converted into a food stand (thanks to its pull-out dining table!) and served a scrumptious dinner that was prepared by Italian chef and TV personality Simone Rugiati himself.
The goal of the stunt was to promote eating together with friends and family (and a Facebook app), because that’s where the fun and happiness truly is.

Interbrand: Apple, Amazon, Samsung fast becoming brand darlings, ousting crusty traditional labels
Posted in: Today's ChiliInterbrand likes to give the world’s top companies a brand value, or a mix of their on-the-ground fiscal performance with an estimate of the premium they can ask through name alone. While there are a lot of traditional names in the consulting company’s 2012 list, the surprise this year is just how aggressively technology has invaded the top of the charts. It’s a good year to be a part of the mobile ecosystem: a very profitable Apple was by far the fastest grower and clinched second place in the list behind only Coca-Cola, while Kindle Fire creator Amazon (20th place) and Apple’s frequent rival Samsung (ninth) also shot past brands as big as Disney and Toyota. A special nod goes out to 69th-place Facebook, whose IPO this year and its recognition put it past companies like Porsche almost overnight. Not everyone in technology came out a winner — Microsoft, Nokia and RIM were among those that took a bruising — but Interbrand’s rankings hint that it’s better to be making tablets than designer handbags.

iPhone users in Brazil who also subscribe to a magazine called Capricho recently got an extra bonus in one issue. But it wasn’t a promo code for a free iTunes track or anything like that. No, it was a special printed cover that turned the rolled up magazine into a passive amplifying speaker for their phone. More »
I always hate it when earbuds pop out of my ears, especially when I’m on the bike or on a run. UK designer Michael Young has come up with earphone design that will probably stay put, no matter what you are doing. Oh, and the earbuds are made from recycled plastic bottles.
The EOps Noisezero Sports+ headphones have a Comply foam tip that expand in your ear so that it won’t pop out, as well as a flexible “SportsFin” earlock which holds them securely inside your ear. EOps partnered up with the Coca-Cola Company to produce these earphones, which include 20% recycled material from polyethylene terephthalate used in their plastic soda bottles.
They also include 9mm titanium drivers and foam tips that have some passive noise cancellation. There is a remote and microphone included, but the most interesting bit is how they pop in. The earphones will be available in red and black from EOps.
