Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all the others once seemed to have our interests at heart; now that’s looking a little more questionable; in the future, who knows where it’ll end? Problem is, subtle privacy changes creep up on us in such a way that we’re practically oblivious to them.
Since their introduction in 1978, Lego’s Minifigs have, um, reproduced at a rapid rate. In fact, the toymaker has been making the little fellas at such a pace that they’ll outnumber humans by 2019.
Wait, where is that audio coming from? I didn’t press play. Oh wait, it’s an autoplay video in one of the 30 or so browser tabs I have open and I have no chance in hell of finding it. Better just listen, then.
Squirrels might be tiny, but they can be huge pests sometimes. However, for people who don’t live in countries where they’re commonly spotted, they’re among the most adorable mammals ever. Although they can be destructive sometimes, they’re also heroes in their own little way. For example, they’re responsible for planting lots of trees in various areas, as they often forget where they buried their acorns.
Depicting them in a totally different light is deviantArt artist Santiago Perez.
His Photoshopped creations don’t just depict squirrels as mere heroes. They’re superheroes, and some of the biggest ones yet. His gallery features the tiny creatures shopped to make them look like they’ve donned the costume of Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Batman. In the case of the Hulk, I’d say he decked out the squirrel in the Hulk’s typical non-costume.
And while he’s not really a superhero, my favorite from the bunch is Yoda Squirrel. Check out the complete series over on Santiago’s DeviantArt page. Which one’s your favorite?

Humans? Usually unappreciative and typically awful. But it wasn’t always like this! When we didn’t have fancy technology with so many features they become useless and couldn’t trap amazingness in a box in our pockets, we enjoyed the little things. Like 8-bit graphics and physical buttons and cords and cartridges. Hell, we even though the graphics were great. Now? It could be real life and we wouldn’t be impressed.
If you’ve ever teased a cat by waving a laser pointer around on the floor and watching it chase the red spot around the floor, you’ll know animals can seem pretty dumb. But don’t for one second assume that you’re a higher form of intelligence.
If you’ve ever wondered how much of the Earths surface actually sits directly beneath the Sun at any given moment, then you probably also gave up on the math pretty quickly. Luckily, Randall Munroe didn’t.
Tall Infographics Suck
Posted in: Today's ChiliThere’s an ever-increasing trend to display information in the form of tall, indecipherable infographics: long colorful panels that look like they contain a wealth of information, but don’t. That’s not a good thing.
Buying a new computer can be a stressful experience if you’re not constantly reading tech blogs. But when it comes to advising friends on what t0 get it, things aren’t always straightforward.
In fact everybody’s at it. And, as Randall Munroe points out in today’s XKCD, we all know that it’s more fun when it looks pretty, too.
