    USB Type-C Cable Render Spotted

USB Type C Cable Render SpottedAt the end of last year, a new USB Type-C connector was announced, and here we are with a render of what the final deal could actually look like. It is interesting to see a new variant of the USB connector appear considering how microUSB has already done its fair bit in climbing up the popularity stakes among users. Still, to have a new kind of cable architecture known as the USB Type-C is welcome, as it will be smaller than microUSB and is also reversible. This means you no longer need to worry about its orientation whenever you plug the USB Type-C cable into a compatible port.

LinkedIn Email Addresses Exposed Via Browser Plug-In Software

LinkedIn Email Addresses Exposed Via Browser Plug In SoftwareSecurity breaches in the digital world seem to be all too common these days, and such malicious activity does seem to have picked up in pace in recent times, too. Thankfully, what has happened with the email addresses of LinkedIn users this time around IS NOT a security breach, but rather, Sell Hack, a free extension for the Chrome browser, will rely on an algorithm in order for it to “guess” members’ email addresses. This would mean Sell Hack falls back upon publicly available data, after performing a comparison against the rest of the information online, resulting in storing such lookups that ends up in a giant database.

Last month the Apple U.S. online store estimated shipping for 2013 Mac Pro in April. Supply seems to be tight ever since the new Mac Pro was released late last year. Apple did manage to get it out in December but since then shipping times have slipped greatly. Even on the launch day itself the shipping estimates slipped into February. Now the online store lists shipping availability between 5-6 weeks, pushing deliveries well into May.

Skype Could Feature New Chat UI For Windows Desktop

Skype Could Feature New Chat UI For Windows DesktopWhile some might call this to be an April Fool’s prank, it apparently isn’t as the person who leaked out what seems to be an update to the Skype client which boasted of a new chat UI for the hugely popular VoIP program. The tipster known as “Marvin” claimed that he was absolutely clueless as to how he received the update, but at the end of the day, the chat interface looks extremely different from what he was used to. Check out the screenshot above and draw your own conclusions – it shows off the Modern UI that is normally found in the Windows 8 version of Skype.

Users Migrating From Windows XP Prefer Windows 7 Over Windows 8

In about a week Microsoft is going to kill support for Windows XP, one of the most popular iterations of its operating system. It has been around for a long, long time and there are still a lot of users out there who haven’t updated to subsequent iterations. The company has been trying to raise awareness about the potential threats that may rise after support for Windows XP is stopped. It has even started offering a $100 discount to users who jump ship from Windows XP to Windows 8.1, the latest iteration. But it appears that those migrating prefer Windows 7 over Windows 8.
