Bing Shows Off Travel Time And Mileage For Driving Directions

Bing Shows Off Travel Time And Mileage For Driving DirectionsYou know what they say – better late than never, but it always makes sense to plan your day better so that you will be on time – or at least, early to your appointment. Bing, Microsoft’s search engine, has already received a scientific calculator and an image match feature, but this time around, there will be the addition of estimated driving time as well as mileage between two points on the map whenever they are typed into Bing. This is new to Bing, but Google Maps have had those for quite a fair number of years now, so it would not make Google’s executives quake in their boots with this Microsoft announcement.

Toshiba 4K Satellite P50t Laptops Set To Arrive

Toshiba 4K Satellite P50t Laptops Set To ArriveWe have seen how Toshiba rolled out their range of laptops in the past, and this time around, what has been revealed at CES 02014 in January earlier this year looks set to arrive in the US before summer hits. Take the Satellite 50t for instance – this 2.2kg laptop might be rather heavy in comparison to the slew of Ultrabooks that are in the market these days, but there is a very good reason for the additional weight. After all, we are talking about a 4K display with 282 pixels per inch (ppi) at 3,840 x 2,160 resolution, displayed in a 15.6-inch touchscreen format.

128GB RAM Kit For The Mac Pro Will Cost Over $2,000When Apple launched the Mac Pro, they claimed that the computer would be able to support up to 64GB of RAM. For the average user and even the hardcore gamer, 64GB of RAM is more than plenty, in fact one could even argue that for the average consumer, going beyond 16GB might be a little excessive.

However as the Mac Pro was not designed for the average consumer, but aimed at professionals who might need the power to render graphics, edit movies, and produce songs, there might be times when 64GB of RAM might just not be enough. (more…)

YouTube Gets Help Of ‘Super Flaggers’ To Detect Offending Videos

YouTube Gets Help Of Super Flaggers To Detect Offending VideosWhen you happen to be a site with millions of users who upload content every single day, monitoring what is uploaded to make sure that it does not go against the terms of service can be a monstrous, and nigh impossible task unless you have a huge workforce – which would be highly inefficient. The best way would be to empower users with a sense of ownership as they look out for proverbial red flags in the service itself. YouTube has taken this particular approach in an invite-only program, where YouTube offers approximately 200 people, government agencies, and organizations the authority to flag up to 20 videos at a time.
