Plastic iPhone 6 Concept Doesn’t Look Too Bad

Terrafugia TF-X Plug-In Hybrid Flying Car

Terrafugia TF X Plug In Hybrid Flying Car Whenever you watch movies like Star Wars, especially in Star Wars episodes 2 and 3, or how about the remake of Total Recall, you begin to wonder how come folks are so law-abiding when they “drive” in the air, whereas they remain utterly reckless whenever they are driving on the ground with lines to guide them. A flying car is certainly as likely as a flying pig, or is it? What you see above could be the savior of traffic jams, but it might also spell the end of mankind as the rate of accidents are sure to increase exponentially compared to regular road users, and everyone on the road will need to wear helmets to avoid falling debris. The Terrafugia TF-X is a plug-in hybrid, where the team behind it are currently working on a feasibility study.

We do not know too much about the Terrafugia TF-X at the moment, other than the fact that it will improve on its spiritual predecessor, the Transition’s basic design. It seems that this bad boy will be able to seat four, sports fly-by-wire controls and state-of-the-art in intelligent systems. Imagine it having vertical take-off and landing capability like that of a helicopter. Considering how the Transition would retail for $279,000, one can only wonder whether the TF-X would cost a whole lot more than that.

iOS 7 Concept Shows Expose-Like Multitasking

We’ve seen a couple of iOS 7 concepts in the past, and for the most part most of the concepts surround the different ways the lock screen could be improved upon, notifications, and multitasking. Now we’ve also heard that with iOS 7 and with Jony Ive at the helm, the software could see not just UI changes, but how the operating system is used too, an example would be the expose-like multitasking feature found on OS X. Now thanks to a concept video by Ran Avni, we get to see what Jony Ive could have in store for us with the announcement of iOS 7 which will most likely take place during WWDC next month.

Based on the video, it certainly looks pretty good and impressive and could very well be the multitasking that iOS users have been begging for the past couple of iOS iterations. Will this be what Jony Ive has planned for us, or did you have something in mind? In any case if this isn’t what Jony Ive had planned, we guess the jailbreak community will probably implement this into a jailbreak tweak of its own, assuming there isn’t something similar like this already available in Cydia.

Bemoove Concept Car

Bemoove Concept Car Would you like to get around in a mode of transport that looks like the above? What your eyes see would be the Bemoove concept car, which is the brainchild of Italian designer Andrea Filogonio who came up with this special design just for the city folks. How the heck do you get in, you ask? Well, there is a small hatch that functions as an entrance to the inflatable cabin, which will sport a special spherical shape that paves the road for unobstructed 360-degree views. Definitely great for the passengers, and the driver too, would have a greater degree of visibility, although it might prove to be distracting as well since you have more time to check out that cutie walking down the street.

As for the tricycle component, it is made out of carbon fiber, where individual wheels will sport an electric engine that will rotate the frame-embedded Kevlar belt tires. It looks like the ideal intra-city ride to get around with, although between this and a Ferrari, the latter would certainly win more stares at the end of the day. When will this concept be realized? Who knows? This Renault concept car looks closer to production than the Bemoove for what it is worth.

Microsoft IllumiRoom Won’t Be Ready In Time For Next Generation Xbox

The Microsoft IllumiRoom concept was initially showed off at CES 2013 back in January. It uses a projector combined with Microsoft’s Kinect sensor to offer users a literally absorbing gameplay experience. IllumiRoom extends gameplay beyond the television as it scans the user’s surrounding through Kinect and creates a digital map of the room. Images and illusions are then projected on to walls or objects via the widescreen projector. For example, if the player was in a level in which it was snowing, IllumiRoom could make it look like it was snowing inside the room in which the game is being played.

It was rumored yesterday that Microsoft IllumiRoom might be available with the next generation Xbox, though that is not entirely true. Brett Jones and Hrvoje Benko, researchers at Microsoft, said that the product isn’t ready yet though it is working quite nicely in the lab. They say that the earliest this can be shown to people, that too as a concept, is July. They didn’t say anything with regards to the release time frame for IllumiRoom. Microsoft is due to make the next generation Xbox announcement at the 21st of May.

Microsoft IllumiRoom Could Equip The Xbox 720 With A Projector

At this year’s CES, Microsoft decided to tease us a bit with its IllumiRoom concept which was shown to expand the visuals of your game beyond your HDTV. After 3 months since its initial unveiling, Microsoft has released a new video showing off the concept once again.

Microsoft’s Illumiroom could end up being a device that would sit on a coffee table in order to work together with the Kinect to project lights around their HDTV to extend the image that is displayed on the screen in real-time. The way Illumiroom would work with the Microsoft Kinect is by having the camera deliver information in regards to the person’s living room, which would help in its ability to project the expanded images. Google Smart Watch Concept Shows What Could Be

As it stands, there are several rumors floating around that a couple of companies could be interested in making a smart watch of their own, such as smart watches from both Apple and Microsoft. While those rumors have yet to pan out, the folks at T3 have put together a concept on what they think a Google-made smart watch could look like. We guess since this is merely a watch, there’s not much they can do about its design, although we have to say that the design does look pretty sleek with plenty of screen real estate to display the relevant information. The version of Android they projected on the phone looks like a regular version of Android, albeit more compressed so there’s not much to see in terms of operating system, which we think is probably the most important aspect of a smart watch! Either way if you’ve a minute or so to spare, check it out in the video above and let us know what you think!
