3D Printed Sad Keanu is Anything But Sad for the People Who Buy One

Keanu Reeves is one of the many celebrities who have been turned into a meme. The Sad Keanu meme came to be a couple of years back after someone snapped a picture of Keanu sitting alone on a park bench, looking particularly downcast. While Keanu explained that he’s not sad or depressed, the meme lives on.

And now it lives on in another form: a 3D printed figurine.

Holy Batarang Boomerang, Batman!

Victor Poulin makes all kinds of cool boomerangs. Even the glaive from Krull. He recently made this sweet Batman batarang, which works really nicely and comes back to the thrower. I just wish I could see the Joker get hit upside the head with this thing. Crazy freak!

In the video below, Poulin shows off the batarang like a pro. This thing measures 25.25 inches across even though it doesn’t look that big. He throws it and it returns to him every time. It’s a bit big for a utility belt, but it works like a champ.

It’s made of wood, so it is probably nice and light – and not as deadly as it looks. Poulin is a true boomerang master. Check out this other video of him playing basketball and starting fires with a boomerang. Great stuff.

NAX 2.0 Can Slice and Dice Zombies and Still Open Your Beer

ThinkGeek is intent on getting us all ready for the zombie apocalypse. They will sell you the Crovel or Crovel II which will certainly come in handy to take on the zombie hoard. A new tool has turned up that looks even more impressive than the Crovel, called the NAX 2.0.

The NAX 2.0 is a multitool that can function as a hatchet, machete, and a kukuri knife. I don’t know what that last one is, but it sounds really cool. The handle of the NAX 2.0 can be used as a pry bar so you can open any wood crates of Twinkies you might run across.

The handle also has a bottle opener, which is key to surviving the zombie apocalypse. Few things are worse than running across the last beer in the world and not having a bottle opener. The handle also has a gas shut off wrench, I guess that will help to burn up some zombies or cook Ramen soup to enjoy with your beer. Plus, the handle is wrapped in 550 paracord, which is perfect for setting booby traps and strangling the undead.

The Nax 2.0 is available from ThinkGeek for $149.99(USD).

Fans have been waiting for the first LEGO Simpsons set and now you can watch it being built. It’s an expensive set, so maybe this is the next best thing to owning it.

Mike, also known as “Bricks Nerd” got his hands on the LEGO Simpsons House and is sharing some videos of the set being constructed. This isn’t just a simple project either since this $200 set features 2,532 pieces in all. The speed-build video is about six minutes-long and there is also an 18-minute video that is basically a review of the set.

They are definitely worth watching if you are thinking about buying this set.

Rocking Horse Tauntauns: I Want to Rock and Roll All Night and Party on Hoth Every Day!

There is something special about old timey toys like rocking horses. They are simple and require a child to use their imagination. No fancy lights or voice activation here. Just good old fashioned play. Well, if you like the simplicity of the rocking horse, but want a geeky spin on it, look no further. I present to you the Tauntaun rocking horse.

They don’t smell like the real thing, thankfully and will provide hours of rocking fun, while you pretend that you are on Hoth. I’m not sure who made these, but they are awesome, and whoever did it needs to step forward so we can give them the credit they deserve.

Heck, I would use one of these as a chair and rock all day while I work. Kids shouldn’t have all the fun.

Plush Kitten Bouquet Lets You Say It with Kitties

I am not a fan of Valentine’s Day. My wife always wants something expensive or changes her mind 57 times until I can’t remember what she wanted and I give up. I stopped buying flowers because the evil florists up the price of roses so much during the lead up to V-Day and the things will cut you with thorns and die in two days anyway.

I think I am going to go with the Plush Kitten Bouquet this year.

This is just about what it sounds like. You can give your lady nine plush kittens. Being plush they are much more docile than real kittens, which wouldn’t likely appreciate being mounted on sticks, or shipped via UPS for that matter.

The kitties can be removed from the sticks so you still have evidence six months down the road that you actually bought your girl a gift. The kitty bouquet is available now for $49.99(USD), which is cheaper than a dozen real roses in the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day.

Jimmy aka 6kyubi6 made a working Star Wars-themed pinball machine using LEGO. Aside from its moving parts and different colored lights, the machine also has various minifigs and figures of Star Wars characters, including Luke, Darth Vader, Chewie, Artoo and even Jabba the Hutt.

SteelSeries Stratus Controller Price Not as Bad as First Thought

If you are an avid gamer on your iPhone or iPad that runs the iOS 7 operating system, you may be in the need of a controller. I think any serious iOS 7 gamer will want one, as touch-based controls suck. We got a bit excited at the prospects of the SteelSeries Stratus wireless gaming controller that we talked about earlier this month. We were excited right up until SteelSeries smashed our testicles with a boot when the price was tipped to be $100.

That is a lot of green for a tiny little controller. The Stratus controller has now officially launched for you to pre-order and the good news is your testes (and your wallet) won’t feel the pain quite as badly. The official pre-order price for the controller in the US is $79.99 (USD).

That price certainly isn’t cheap, but it’s better than $100. Now for the catch, you need to pre-order the Stratus to get it at that price so I suggest you run along and do it right now. Seriously, go do it now. You can pre-order via SteelSeries.
