Last week, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima shared images of the iDroid case via Twitter. It makes the iPhone 5 and 5S look like the eponymous cutting edge walkie-talkie used by Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Snake must have been wearing cargo pants in the game, because this thing is huge.

Kojima also pointed out the features of the case on Twitter. It has a blue light in place of the in-game item’s holographic display and a fake antenna that’s actually a small stylus. The case also has buttons for the iPhone’s sleep and volume controls. The part of the case that covers the phone’s camera lens and flash can also be removed. As a final touch, Kojima encourages fans who will get the iDroid case to download the free MGS V: GZ app.

According to Metal Gear Informer, Sentinel will release the iDroid case in Japan this October for ¥7,500 (~$74 USD). I don’t know if it will be released internationally. If you’re more of an Attack on Titan fan, you’ll be glad to know that Sentinel also has a 3D Maneuver Gear hand grip iPhone case on its lineup. Game of Thrones fans get out your wallets. ThinkGeek has a set of replica dragon eggs that you know you want to add to your collection. There are three egg replicas in the box. Each of the eggs isn’t a petrified dragon, rather they are made from resin.

The box is made from Cunninghamia wood and lined with black silk. The fittings on the box are made from brass. The replica eggs are official Game of Thrones licensed merchandise.

The outside lid of the box has the Targaryen sigil in red and white on the top. The box measures 9 3/4″(L) x 4 3/4″(W) x 3 3/4″(H) and each egg is 3″(H) and 2 1/4″ in diameter.

Times are tough for Nintendo. The Wii U is not selling very well. So maybe it is time to focus on old school games that don’t require a screen. Nintendo hasn’t ventured into the world of Connect 4 yet, so why not? I present to you Super Mario Connect 4.

Connect 4 is a classic kids game. Now it gets a Mario makeover. That should be enough reason for any Nintendo fanboy to buy it to play with their kids. The game features Mario and Luigi faces on the checkers. Play a quick game between Mario Kart races to decide who gets the best drivers or just play to determine which brother is best, Mario or Luigi.

Professional sculptor Hector A. Arce mashed up Game of Thrones with SoulCalibur in this grisly stattuete. He calls it Throne of Souls, and it shows the fighting game villain sitting on a throne that’s “made up of the souls and swords of his fallen enemies.” Take that Aegon.

I was going to post about this Mario Bros. sculpture but when I got to Minty Fresh I got sidetracked by the other items for sale. Steve Minty is the Fangamer of geeky visual art. Or maybe Fangamer is the Minty Fresh of geeky apparel. I could have picked an item from Minty Fresh’s virtual shelves at random and it would have been worth sharing.  For now though I just had to highlight Hector’s masterpiece. The statuette is 12″ high and 10″ wide and is made of ceramic clay.

Wield your browser and head to Minty Fresh, where you can buy the statuette for $450 (USD). Hector priced it at $300 on his shop, but it’s not yet available there.

Hamsters now have a new mech that they can use to conquer the world. This neat Strandbeest is powered by a hamster in a wheel. The hamster inside turns some gears, which move the mechanism forward. Your kids will love it as a hamster toy, but your hamster will love it because he/she will now have a vehicle. World domination can’t be far behind.

It’s pretty creepy watching a hamster move such a machine. Maybe we should just bow down to our new masters now and accept our fate.

Maybe the cats will help us. Cats are our friends right? Right?
