Unlike Maverick, Dale "Snort" Snodgrass was a real F-14 Tomcat pilot. The Tomcat pilot, according to the US Navy: He’s considered the "highest time Tomcat pilot, with over 4,800 hours and more than 1,200 arrested carrier landings." Like Maverick, however, he did some pretty crazy stuff.

Here’s a crazy story. A GoPro camera falls out of a plane, travels hundreds of feet to the ground, and lands in a pig pen. Eight months later, a random person finds said GoPro, footage intact. It’s worth watching.

I came across this crazy video today. It shows the crash landing of a Royal Air Force Harrier plane landing at Kandahar back in 2009. Watch as fire engulfs the plane as the pilot tries to control it, jumping at the very last second, when the flames reach the cockpit.

Step 2: Get someone to drive a 62.3-ton Leopard tank at full speed on that road only to activate the emergency brakes just a few meters from the 23 lunatics. There’s no step 3. Just pray that you don’t end up with three thousand pounds of human jam.

Christ. An awesome lunatic wasn’t happy with just dragging his knee while making a high speed motorcycle turn so he decided to lay his head and drag that on the gravel too. Because, well, there’s nothing cooler (or more out there) than scraping your noggin’ on the street while going well past the reasonable speed limit of a turn. To be honest though, it does look kind of cool.
