Lightsaber Crochet Hook Makes You Obi-Wan Craftobi

We’ve seen plenty of nifty crocheted Star Wars items and I’m sure we will see more. But a real Jedi Master crafter uses a weapon like this awesome lightsaber crochet hook.

Imagine what you could create with this lightsaber. It’s an elegant crafting weapon for a more civilized age. These cool crafting implements are made by Cherelled and are just $15(USD).

They are made from polymer clay. If you want to make one yourself, the tutorial for the grip can be found here. Craft or craft not. There is no try.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Crochet: Heroes in a Snail Shell

Teenage Mutant Ninja Snails are just like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They can be found in sewers, and I bet they love pizza too. Sadly, they can’t reach their weapons. And bad guys can always track them by their slime trail.

8-Bit Video Game Rugs Offer Soft Pixels Beneath Your Feet

Most geeks I know play their video games in the living room. But even if you play in your room or don’t play games at all, I think you’d agree that every living room needs a rug. That’s where Etsy artist Harmonden comes in.

8Bit RugsHarmonden makes 8-bit crocheted rugs of notable characters from video games (like the one above that features Link from Legend of Zelda) and of other gaming-related stuff, like console controllers and other game elements. You can check more of them out in the gallery below.

Life-Size Crocheted Skeleton with Organs: Undead Sackboy

We’ve seen a variety of awesome crocheted items, mostly hats and amigurimi based on fictional characters. But artist Shanell Papp is more interested in real human beings. More specifically, what’s inside of us. Back in 2006, Papp crocheted LAB, a life-size skeleton with organs.

In an interview with Order of the Good Death, Papp mentioned a variety of reasons why she made LAB. She says that she’s into “death, medicine and horror”, and growing up was very curious about what our insides are like and what each part does. Aside from looking at anatomical textbooks, Papp actually borrowed a human skeleton to use as a reference when she was making LAB. All in all it took her 8 months to finish her work.

He’s ready for CSI: LittleBigPlanet. I highly suggest you check out the full interview on the Order of the Good Death. Papp has more pictures of LAB on her blog.

Crocheted Bane Mask: You Have My Permission to Hug Me

Pretend like you’re Gotham’s reckoning – whatever the hell that means – without the discomfort or drunk Sean Connery voice that goes along with it with this awesome crocheted Bane mask made by Etsy crafter Rose Pope.

Rose makes each mask by hand using nothing but acrylic wool and a few wooden sticks to make the piping stable. If you look closely at the picture above you can see that there’s a gap in the mask to help the wearer breathe.

Rose is selling the crocheted Bane mask on her Etsy shop Stitch Finder General for about $93 (USD). However, if you want to order one don’t click on the “Add to cart” button; Rose says she’s struggling to cope with the demand for her creation – the League of Shadows probably placed a bulk order – so you have to contact her to place your order.

Magikarp Crochet Hat: The World’s Most Useless Headgear

Wanna know what it’s like to wear a butt of jokes on your head? Here you go. This crocheted hat featuring the most useless piece of carp in the Pokémon franchise was made by Etsy seller Savannah Mitchell aka corlista.

The hat measures 20″ and does not even know Splash. But wear it enough times and one day you could have a dragon on your head. I don’t know if that’s a better look though.

Corlista made the hat in the pictures expressly for one customer, but I’m sure if you contact her she could be persuaded to spawn more. That would make her the first successful Magikarp salesperson.

Store Your Feet in These USB Flash Drive Slippers

We’ve seen diminutive USB sticks with huge capacities, but these slippers by Etsy artist Unique P Crochet can only carry 1 foot each, despite being comically large. Although frankly I’m not sure how many gigabytes are in one foot.

Transfer $40 (USD) to UniquePcrochet’s Etsy store to order a pair. But if you know (someone who knows) how to crochet, UniquePcrochet also sells just the pattern for the slippers for only $5.50.

TARDIS Blanket is Warmer on the Inside

When you don’t have a TARDIS with which to travel through time and space, the next best thing might be a TARDIS shaped blanket. Instead of walking into the TARDIS and hitting some controls, you can just get in and pull this blanket over your head and let your dreams take you to distant alien worlds for adventure.

This blanket was made by Kristi from RainyMondayTumblr. It’s over 7.5-feet-long and has some nice extra touches. The windows and light glow in the dark, and the light itself was made with sparkly fabric. This thing took about two months to make.

The person who received this blanket is one lucky so and so. I wish I could sleep in it. With Amy Pond preferably.

Solid Snake Amigurumi Will Sneak His Way into Your Heart

We’ve seen an amigurumi of Old Snake before, but I like the young Solid Snake much better than that bitter – but heroic! – old fart. Which is why if I had this amigurumi I would hug it so tightly a ration would come out before I even dropped it.

But since he’s just 5.5″ tall, it’d be easier to squeeze him with one hand than give it a full CQC hug. But look at that awesomely stitched beard. And that mullet! Good thing he doesn’t have a crocheted cigarette or I would’ve given in and bought it, shipping be damned.

X-Wing Fighter Pilot Crochet Helmet: Knit Leader, Standing By

It’s cold in space. Whether you are flying a TIE Fighter or an X-Wing Fighter, you need to dress warmly. Good thing that this X-Wing pilot’s helmet was crocheted to keep you warm and toasty as you zip through the trenches of the Death Star.

This adorable helmet was created by Etsy seller HandcraftedByColleen and it is perfect for long space flights. “Red Leader, this is Echo 7. Are you warm enough? Yeah, me too. This thing won’t protect me in a crash, but I sure am glad that my grandmother gifted the whole squadron these toasty helmets.”

While they’re great in space, the Rebel pilots could have used these on Hoth, to keep warm in their Snowspeeders.
