Super Mario Bros. Crossover Receives Huge ‘Special’ Update

Super Mario Bros. Crossover Receives Huge Special UpdateThere is nothing quite like taking a classic game and putting a new spin onto things, is there? We have seen how Mario has influenced millions of gamers ever since he made his debut from a pipe somewhere, where he has since been playable within a game itself, getting a slew of new levels thanks to a user mod, or even re-imagined in HD glory – just like how Zelda’s The Wind Waker HD is coming our way later this year.

Developer Exploding Rabbit has certainly offered the Mario Bros. franchise a new perspective, as they worked on an 8-bit mash up game that they have called the Super Mario Bros. Crossover. In fact, this mash up title has just received a substantial update this week, where it has hit version 3.0 already, welcoming Super Mario Bros. Special to the mix. Super Mario Bros. Special happens to be the Hudson Soft-developed sequel to Super Mario Bros. that was rolled out all the way back in 1986 for Japanese computers, where this most recent revision to Crossover would see the inclusion of Special’s levels, enemies and power-ups (you will find familiar references to Donkey Kong and Mario Bros. in there), in addition to a more heavily saturated color palette. Not only that, Crossover version 3.0 will also see the inclusion of dozens of new skins for a slew of the game’s characters (Mario, Luigi, Samus, Mega Man, Ryu Hayabusa, Simon Belmont, etc.). Variety, after all, is the spice of life.

Resident Evil 6, Left 4 Dead 2 Crossing Over In Free Update This Spring

There aren’t many games that could make you jump while playing them, even if you’re playing during the middle of the day. Two games that could do this are Capcom’s Resident Evil series and Valve’s Left 4 Dead series. That’s why today’s news of both games crossing over makes complete sense. Sort of.

Resident Evil 6 PC players will be in for a special treat this spring as they’ll be able to play as the survivors from Left 4 Dead 2 in the game’s The Mercenaries No Mercy mode. Those won’t be the only characters from L4D2 to cross over to RE6 as the infected’s Witch and Mini Tank will also be adding their strength to the hordes of infected you’ll need to battle through. Tesla CEO teases crossover and sports car EVs for 2016

Tesla Model X introduction with CEO Elon Musk

Tesla founder Elon Musk would like to remind you that the Model X isn’t the terminus of his company’s electric car ambitions. Far from it: Musk tells Wired that Tesla’s 2016 plans include both a crossover SUV akin to the BMW X3 as well as a pure sports car that goes beyond just a Roadster redux. The racier vehicle will have speed, but “not supercar pricing,” the CEO says. He also elaborated on already-known plans for an ‘entry’ sedan in 2015, which should resemble a 20 to 25 percent smaller Model S and cost about $30,000 if all goes well. There’s a wide gap between promises and reality in all those statements, but Musk has a reputation for largely delivering on target — which gives us hope that there will finally be Tesla EVs within range of everyday budgets.
