LEGO Job Application Set: You Just Lost Your Chances with Mega Bloks, Kid

If you work in HR and you start receiving LEGOs with resumes, blame – or thank – Leah aka Pastlightspeed. The Redditor and aspiring intern wanted to stand out to prospective employers, so she made a LEGO version of herself along with matching packaging and a pamphlet. I guess she’ll be known as LEGO Leah wherever she gets hired.

It’s not in these pictures, but Leah said she also wrote assembly instructions that also highlighted her skills.

Want to outdo Leah? Try submitting a life-sized 3D printed statue of yourself. Or try using a Raspberry Pi to make a gadget that reads your application out loud in seven languages. Or try sending a first-person virtual reality game that simulates your typical day at work. Don’t forget to send an Oculus Rift dev kit as well so your future employer can play the game. Speaking of which, you can also try to get bought by Facebook. That should get people’s attention.

Monster High Iron Girl Custom Doll: Frankie Stark

We’re fans of toy modder Chris Hooton aka Sabretooth and have featured a couple of his unique creations. This time he modified a Monster High doll, turning an unholy teenage girl into a female version of Iron Man. She’s still articulated and even has a removable face plate.

My Little Pony Custom Xbox 360 Controllers, Friendship Is Button Mashing

My Little Pony fans will love what DeviantARTist Chris Cardi of CARDI-ology is doing. He modifies Xbox 360controllers with pop culture themes, like Batman and Pikachu to name a few. However, these Pony controllers really take the cake.

There is even one for Vinyl Scratch, the most famous DJ in Equestria. It has a cool nightclub vibe thanks to blue and white LEDs in the front. Still, it is hard to pick a favorite, since they all look great and represent their Pony extremely well.

I think I like Rainbow Dash the best. That color combination just looks good on an Xbox 360 controller. Good work cardi. Friendship is magic, but my BFF is my game console.

If you’re interested in having your own custom controller made, head on over to CARDI-ology’s Facebook page and drop him a note.

Carapace EXO1 Wetsuit Review: Pure Custom Fit Goodness

Carapace EXO1 Wetsuit Review: Pure Custom Fit Goodness

I don’t know if I’m just weirdly shaped or what, but I’ve never found a wetsuit that fits perfectly. Sometimes it’s just a nitpick—as in it’s just a bit too tight one place, or a little baggy somewhere else—and sometimes I’m right in between sizes for a brand and can’t wear any of their suits (I’m looking at you, O’Neill).

Dead Space Motorcycle Helmet Lets You Hide Your Emotions Like Isaac Clarke

There’s good news and bad news about this helmet. The good news is that this custom Dead Space inspired motorcycle helmet is all kinds of awesome. The bad news is that you know it will get scratched up as you battle necromorphs in it. But hey, at least you can enjoy it while it lasts.

If you have to protect your head, (and it really is a good idea) you might as well do it in style. This helmet comes from Xtreme Kreations and it looks so good you will think you are in-game.

You have to love those painted blue light effects and it’s so shiny. So so shiny. Can you imagine this with a matching bike? That, I would pay to see.

This sweet console was created by Deviantartist Zoki64 and it just takes your breath away. This kind of paint job is usually reserved for custom choppers and muscle cars, but damn if that green flake finish doesn’t look great on an N64.

Plus, all of that detailing on the controller and the console just complete it. This is the sweetest console you will see all day. Great work Zoki64.

Evil Controllers goes next-gen with PS4 and Xbox One gamepads, custom controllers en route

If you still have money to burn after buying a PlayStation 4, an Xbox One (or both!) and games for each, Evil Controllers wants to help with that. The company’s been churning out user-customized Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 controllers for awhile, but now it’s added the DualShock 4 and the Xbox One controller to the mix. For now, the outfit is offering a handful of pre-made designs, but an updated version of its controller creator webapp will be live soon. Aside from some cosmetic flair, the jazzed up products use all original hardware, ensuring you get the factory-made experience. What’s more, the controllers’ arresting designs should help them stand out from your couch cushions. If you thought the vanilla gamepads were pricey at $60, however, you might want to avert your eyes — these start at $85.

Bulletproof Suit: Stay Alive and Look Good Doing It

Garrison Bespoke is a luxury suit tailor in Toronto, but its latest product might as well come from the research labs of a secret intelligence agency in the UK. It’s a three-piece suit that’s strong enough to withstand attacks from a hunting knife and even 9mm bullets fired at close range, thanks to several layers of carbon nanotubes hidden inside the vest and suit jacket.

According to The Globe and Mail, Garrison Bespoke co-founder Michael Nguyen started development of the stylish life-saving device when one of their clients was assassinated. But because they are suit makers – and because bulletproof vests already exist – Garrison Bespoke ensures that its clients will enjoy protection without sacrificing style or comfort.

The company outlined its goals in developing the suit as follows: “First, to be modern and stylish. Second, to be light and comfortable. And, third, to be reliable and safe.” The video below is from CityNews’ report on the custom suit:

So how much will this ballin’ bullet-stopper cost you? The Globe and Mail says that a custom three-piece suit will set you back at least $20,000. I’m not sure if that’s in Canadian or US Dollars, but there’s not much of a difference between their values anyway. Garrison Bespoke also has a bulletproof polo shirt for $800, for casual yet life-threatening Fridays.
